This is the woman who wrote Toxic, which Britney Spears' label purchased for her. A lot of times, songs will be rearranged, either just tweaking it or even changing the genre of the song. I've only heard the Britney Spears' version a handful of times but to my ears they didn't change a thing. This version is better, IMO.
