Hmm, its been a little while since Ive played ST:2nd Squad, but I dont quite remember it exactly like that. It almost looks like ST and Sonic Wing mixed. Like ST strictly a Vertical shooter. Hmm, maybe? Someone needs to buy it here, and let us know!

Looks exactly like Shock Troopers 2nd Squad to me, the characters names are even Angel and Toy... heh, did they even change anything?

Just got it thro' the post - first impressions - can see lots of lovely eproms through the case
....... will play and post pics of the insides in a tic.....
Played the first 5 minutes - it's sort of Shock Troopers 2 - Different intro voice overs, obviously different game name......
Starts on a train level - but best of all - NO SLOW DOWN SO FAR! (sorry for the caps) It's way quicker than the original!

sweet! yes, please post pics and stuff. Was it cart only? The speed thing alone interests me more on this than any KOF hack I've seen.

Yep, cart only - the label (funnily enough) reads (along with the usual MVS header and Neo Geo footer) ' Lansquenet - (korean writing) - 2004' and underneath the title: 'snk "neo geo" is a registered trademark of snk corporation. "Lansquenet" is a registered trademark of snk corporation' - nice Serial is 006688, bets that they all are?

You should take some in-game photos of the title screen and levels and stuff once you get into the game.

Well, those are new boards... interesting thing is the bottom board was done professional with flash memory, and the top is done as a eprom hack. Interesting. You'd think they'd just do it all in flash if they were going to fabricate those boards.

Here's the first images of in game play: there is a tiny bit of slowdown on lvl3 
but not as much as the original. The levels are rearranged from the original- will play through ST2 n' then Lan. and compare.......
As it goes, 1st image is the title screen, 2nd the select screen, 3rd the 1st lvl, 4th the 2nd lvl, 5th the second select screen, 6th is lvl 3. I'll do some more of further in the game if anyone can be arsed to look at 'em
