Who said the HNG 64 was big?

I decided to make the NG64 a bit smaller and lightier by removing the sides, bottom and front panel and connectors. Since I usually put the boards on top of my supergun, the 64 was too wide anyway. However, due to the exposed pcb in the bottom, I have to put it upsidedown, with the cart righ on top of the supergun. Of course the JAMMA connector is reversed accordingly.

What do you think? Is it safe?

I don't see why it wouldn't be safe. Pretty cool.

I remember hearing people talk about a consolized Hyper, but can't remember ever seeing a finished one. This makes me think of that for some reason.

The only problem that I see is that you have exposed the lower PCB, increasing your chances to accidentally damaging it. That is why those side plates where on the board in the first place. ;)
