I had barely hit puberty when I first started posting here and now I'm creeping up on 30 :buttrock:

I love how this site still looks and feels exactly the same.

Well, here I am again. Still in Paris. Been in Europe for just a little over 4 years now since 2011. We actually bought an apartment here in Paris back in 2012. Plus we have our condo in LA that we bought back in '09. And we still have our house in Manila in the Philippines. So between 2013 and 2015 I've been going back and forth between the US and Europe. But my total time in Europe since 2011 has been just a little over 4 years. There's this one store on BLVD Voltaire that has quite a sizable inventory of AES games but quite expensive. It was a nice day today. Sunny and in the low 70's. went running from my place to Parc Monceau and around the Parc the last 4 days in a row. If anyone's looking for cheap eats in Paris, there's the 10 Euro formule menus in the restaurants in the Quartier Latin in between Notre Dame and the Sorbonne. How's SOCAL. Haven't been back since I left from there late August 2015.

And how about this French elections. The candidates of the right, Fillon and Le Pen,are racked with corruption scandals, and the Socialist party has broken up. Emmanuel Macron is ahead in the polls but you can never tell with Russia interfering in elections all over the place.

I've been a member since '01. My name was just THEMAN at first, then I was playing around with it and extended it with the annhialator of worlds. Posted here a lot in the early years then I was going less and less until now I hardly go here anymore. Anyway My mother is the only child of my grandfather and I'm the only child of my mom so I was the only grandchild of my grandfather (on my mother's side) He had a house built in the Philippines back in '49 or '50 right before my mom was born and we've kept that house since. He was an attorney and back in the 60's was the first Filipino to be vice president of Mobil Oil in the Philippines which was huge because they usually hire American expats to fill the job. So he was a corporate attorney and law professor as well for a lot of years. He also practiced the Louisiana in the early 80's so we also own a home there on top of our home in Manila Philippines. Then in the 90's he was appointed to the Energy Regulatory Commission in the government. That was a gov't job but VERY POWERFUL since as the chairman he was the head of the board that could regulate energy (oil, electricity) prices throughout the entire Philippines. He also acquired land as an attorney. I guess sometimes instead of getting paid, some clients just gave him land. Anwyway, in one of them, Caltex the oil company was renting. They had a plant on our land and was paying us rent. So just a few years ago, we sold that land where Caltex was renting and used the money to buy the apartment here in Paris. We sold our house in New Orleans, and used it to by the condo in LA, and we still have our house in the Philippines after all these years. My mom and I are still earning up money so we get buy another property in the LA area for rent so we can have rental income. We intend to pay cash so we don't have any mortgages. All our properties are free and clear title wise and they are all already paid for. Anyway we are slowly earning and growing our cash so we can eventually buy another property for rental income. I have $24,000 in a savings account in a bank in the US right now and almost €19,000 here in my bank account in Paris and a third bank account in the UK where I have a couple hundred British Pounds. Anyway we still have some land we are selling in the Philippines and intend to put that money along with what we already have now so it'll grow and we can eventually buy another property in cash. I keep joking to myself right now that I can buy another property here in Europe like in Italy or something by the beach with the cash I have now. Hehe. :) But we intend to save it and try to earn more money for another property in the SOCAL area. And besides my grandfather, my mom's husband (my stepdad) is a physician (radiologist). And I myself have a law degree from the US. (JD). A Master of Laws from the U.K. (LLM) and am finishing my Masters in Global Communications here in Paris so soon I will have an MA (Master of Arts) as well. Whew!!!! Well that's how we got to own our properties that we have now. And I can speak 3 languages. English and Tagalog and my French is about upper intermediate level. And I love to stay in shape. I have an LA Fitness membership in LA but here in Paris I just run to the park, run around the park and back to my place. So that's some background on our family and myself. Ohh, And some peeps on here are on my FB friends list so they see my travel pics all over Europe.

Good to see the site still running along. Aside from my family keeping me busy, I went through an odd layoff with my old company around 2015. I've since transitioned onto the broadcast TV realm and have been much more happier in this field. Overall, still the same with a few greys along the way.

I still play on all formats (home system, CMVS, cabs, even the NGX). Reading some of these threads in here, I'm really happy that the humor and snark hasn't gone away from this site.

Been watching the live news now about the attack on the Champs-Elysees. I hardly go there anymore but still. This is going to tip the balance for the French elections when it comes to undecided voters. Macron has been the front runner for the longest time, but the far right candidate Le Pen is closing in and any terror attack can only help boost her support. We'll see.

Was looking back on some old threads I posted in. Damn. I wish I had a time machine so I could hop in, gun it to 88, and put a sock in it. I agree with the above sentiment, though. It's great to come back and see that not much has changed...even though the neostore now sells Nintendo games...wtf?! LOL

Hope all is well.

So the real question here is: can you hook me up with a PVM or what?

We miss you man! Awesome that you're settled in a new job!

Thanks Pandarr! The new job has me really busy, but I love the place.

Welcome Back Pedro :)

Obrigado! Fallamos!

Awesome!

Score any PVM's???

None from work as they still use the few BVMs that are still scattered around the company campus.

At least come back for the massive Twin Peaks war room thread once season 3 comes out.

I'm sure it will bring a bunch of us older folk back. I can't wait for the start of season 3.

Dude, I hear ya!

So the real question here is: can you hook me up with a PVM or what?

Been trying to see what i can score from our local sources. Around a few months ago, I reached out to the guy that picks up the corporate E-waste. Older PVMs have been slim pickens, but I havent driven over to the logistics center in a while. I'll have to drive over to see if they're around.
