KOF 2003 is the best since it is more expensive than both the 96+98+2000 combined.

I have seen Akira. So, the soundtrack was made by Geino Yamashirogumi and Shoji Yamashiro?
'Welcome to Nocturne City' is by James Kent ("Perturbator"). From the Nocturne City EP (2012).

'96 is my fave but '95 has more kick ass style to it. That said overall fun has gotta be '98 or '99.

'94 and '95 were the only games in the series where you could do aerial fireballs with Ryo (and fireballs actually cross the whole screen, unlike in '96). The non-boss enemies are tougher in '95 than in '94.

More reason to keep '95 in the cab. Plus it's just a killer game man. Anyone who can get to Rugal on a credit is coming to my place more than once haha.

Good job retard, you learned how to use Google.
Google and Wikipedia, I often use more than one way of finding things out.

You don't actually like Neo Geo, you just wiki and google it all don't you!?

I've never felt more deceived.

95 for me also, but that might be because thaqt's the one I played the most on the arcades back in the day. Now that I have them on the MVS, I will start playing them all again and see if my taste changes.

Regards.

I once thought that 98 would forever be "the best" but I am starting to think the newer ones are becoming more popular and have the edge over 98.

If I had to choose just one King of Fighters it would have to be KOF 97. The boys with the cameras, the girls with the round number signs, and the victory screens all convey the feel of a tournament better than other King of Fighters. King of Fighters 99 and 2002 come close. KOF 99 because of the backgrounds and the plot. King of Fighters 2002 because of the roster (the backgrounds are quite good too). King of Fighters 2002 would be perfect if they included King on the Women Fighters Team instead of Mary Lee.

I plan to buy King of Fighters 2003 because it is faster paced than the other King of Fighters for the Neo Geo. Its fights are intense!

KoF XIII has a great visual style but it's basically a corner-whoring game

Best is 98 but I prefer the moveset for Terry from 96 and I also love the music from 96.

Athena's Psycho Soldier theme from '96 is awesome. Although I don't know its lyrics

Kof 98 is my favorite eve, the ultimate version released a few years ago is also awesome. The new kof on 360/ps3 is beyond amazing. Play it!

02' has always been my "favorite", but I think that's because it's the first AES cart I ever owned. 98 coming in second, and 99 being number three for me. 95 I still think had the best backgrounds in the series though

KOF94 and 96, because nostalgia.
Seriously though, nice backgrounds, music and characters. I dig the sprites too.
