So, I was looking forward to this tremendously. Pretty much the entire gaming press has been slobbering all over this game, and I really liked the first one, so I was eager to check out the demo.
But is it just me, or was it kind of... meh? I thought it was just more of the same. The melee weapons were kind of cool, but I thought the new zombie types were nothing special at all — kind of dull, actually. I thought the atmosphere of the level they gave you left a lot to be desired, too. Maybe it's because it's during the day, but I felt like there was no paranoia or oppressive feeling like there was in the first game.
This was gonna be a day one buy for me, but now I think I'm gonna pass. Maybe I'll get it when it's cheap sometime next year. I doubt it though, since I don't think anyone will be playing it then, and if you can't get any games going, it'd be pointless to pick it up, I think. We'll see.
I don't suppose anyone agrees with me?

It sucks in the demo that they don't let you have the fire ammo (unless I'm missing it) and I wanted to try a chainsaw, but the skillet and machete are alright.
