Hi, all -
I'm so glad I found this thread, since Dojonsky is one of the bidders on my AES system sale on craigslist. He's also local to me, in fact just a few streets away here in Sacramento.
I've been trying to make a thread but I guess I can't since I'm a new member. Can I ask the wizards here to give me an approximate value of these items? I wasn't aware that over the last 10 years since I bought this system (and it's my second; bought the first in '94 with SS1) that such a collector's market has emerged based on them. I guess I was too busy playing to notice the culture springing up around them! hehe. Anyway, after doing belated research all night the values seem to be all over the place. Here's what I have:
- AES cart system with 2 controllers (both kidney-shaped, I believe it's called, with the buttons shaped in a curve? Correct me if I'm wrong) [EDIT: Knew I'd forget something; system is modded, too, although I admit to not knowing the difference in mods. It's one that uses the C and SELECT buttons, I think, on controller 2]
- Memory card (no box or papers)
- Metal Slug X AES (non dog tag) - have instructions in little plastic baggie
- Samurai Shodown 2 - have instructions in baggie
- Original AV cable and power adapter
I may sound like an expert (or at least that I know what I'm talking about) with the dog tag this and kidney that, but this it's all from hours' worth of Googling and read this site tonight.

To be honest, I posted it all originally for $200 with a caveat that if, after researching values on the items, I determined they were worth more it would affect the price. I know that's not a great way to do it, but I needed an ad up quick due to needing money (otherwise I'd never sell it... I love this thing).
Sorry to blab, but the number of responses indicated I might've mispriced it and thus led to my all-night researching.
Thanks for any suggestions on price...
