OK.
Major update:

the game arrived , unfortunately I'm not near by now, but my father did a quick check, and it's the correct item.
I'll need to check by my self, but it won't be soon, in the meanwhile I closed the paypal claim, as it's fair... of course I hope it's everything in good shape as dealed.

Well, Don if this was all a communication problem I'm happy you went back to manage the situation, and this is now solved,
For the future, if I may give you an advice, please use a set of proper tools for doing business (IE webmail with last emails left on the server or think about backup/disaster recovery plan!).

Voodoo-doll deactivated ;)

hey there Massi many thanks for telling us that it has arrived ... yea your advice is a good advice many thanks !!! :D enjoy the game or enjoy it in your collection ... thanks have a GREAT ONE ! :D

I don't know you and have never dealt with you before ! but that is true i had problems with other shipping agencies/contract postal offices etc so from now on i only use real post office no third party postal offices etc...

Oh, you know who I am. Nice to see that you finally grew a conscience and sent these people the stuff you owe them. Too bad it took a lynch mob to do it. I like you Don, but hate your ethics where selling stuff is concerned.

Almost. I don't have a tracking # yet but it's only been 3 days.

Hi, all -

I'm so glad I found this thread, since Dojonsky is one of the bidders on my AES system sale on craigslist. He's also local to me, in fact just a few streets away here in Sacramento.

I've been trying to make a thread but I guess I can't since I'm a new member. Can I ask the wizards here to give me an approximate value of these items? I wasn't aware that over the last 10 years since I bought this system (and it's my second; bought the first in '94 with SS1) that such a collector's market has emerged based on them. I guess I was too busy playing to notice the culture springing up around them! hehe. Anyway, after doing belated research all night the values seem to be all over the place. Here's what I have:

- AES cart system with 2 controllers (both kidney-shaped, I believe it's called, with the buttons shaped in a curve? Correct me if I'm wrong) [EDIT: Knew I'd forget something; system is modded, too, although I admit to not knowing the difference in mods. It's one that uses the C and SELECT buttons, I think, on controller 2]

- Memory card (no box or papers)

- Metal Slug X AES (non dog tag) - have instructions in little plastic baggie

- Samurai Shodown 2 - have instructions in baggie

- Original AV cable and power adapter

I may sound like an expert (or at least that I know what I'm talking about) with the dog tag this and kidney that, but this it's all from hours' worth of Googling and read this site tonight. :) To be honest, I posted it all originally for $200 with a caveat that if, after researching values on the items, I determined they were worth more it would affect the price. I know that's not a great way to do it, but I needed an ad up quick due to needing money (otherwise I'd never sell it... I love this thing).

Sorry to blab, but the number of responses indicated I might've mispriced it and thus led to my all-night researching.

Thanks for any suggestions on price... :)

Hi, all -

This post is completely inappropriate and unrelated to this thread.
Anyway, to answer your question:

It depends A LOT on condition and such. The system is worth $150-200, SamSho2 is worth about $20, and Metal Slug X is worth ~$600 for the US version IIRC (but the price here will, again, vary WILDLY depending on condition and completeness -- AES collectors are VERY sensitive about these things).

You can't post threads because you just joined, that's how it is; endure it. Don't piggyback onto other threads with off-topic jibber jabber just because it's convenient for you.

How long until you can post? Seems like a weird rule, but okay. Thanks for the info.

Dude,

No offense, but take this crap to another section of the forum. You are cluttering up this thread and distracting from it's purpose which is to document our dealings with dojosky and the problems we are trying to work through in getting items we've paid for or traded him for.

Thanks,

RJ

What address did you send it to? I hadn't received an email from you in several days to any of my accounts.

I did get the PM and have responded to it. Thanks for keeping me updated.

Don,

I didn't receive any emails asides from the first one asking if I wanted any additional items, to which I said no, just the MVS carts are fine.

But anyway, what is the tracking # for the MVS carts and when were they sent?

You can just post the replies in the forum here.

Thanks.

Hey Don,

Almost there! I got the Vectrex (had to open it up as there was a screw floating around inside thanks to the Post Office) and the CDZ. The Vectrex works nicely and I'll see what I can learn from the CDZ.

The TK board wasn't in the box though!

Bump!

Dojosky said he was 200 miles from home the last time I heard from him. Still, no TK board yet.

Yeah, he also told me he was going to issue me a refund of $25.00 for the Neo Geo CD he sold me, but I have still not received anything from him yet.
