Possible to remove amplifier from headphone circuit to make it line level?

I'd like to remove the amplifier from the headphone circuit on my MV-4F so it outputs line level sound suitable for feeding straight into an amp like the audio connectors on most other boards.

What I'm wondering is how much modification would need to be done to the board in order to achieve this.

Thanks

Just use the headphone out.

It's highly unlikely that your stereo will be damaged if you hook it up to the headphones out but if you still don't want the amplification of the 2066 you just have to desolder the two 220uF caps on the outputs and short the inputs of the headhones volume pot and the L and R pins of the jack:

Same thing on a 4-slot but with 4-pin header instead of a jack.

Thanks very much for going to the trouble of making that pic for me MKL.

I realise its unlikely, I do have an attenuation circuit hooked up to the JAMMA harness, however I also have an additional audio harness which is for non-amplified stereo sound.

I'd like to be able to use the MVS with this in the same way as ST-V, CPS2, etc.

Wouldn't it be just as good to just remove those 2 caps and have the headphone volume on full?

I've tried to do as you said on my 4 slot, ive tried connecting the wires to 2 different sets of points on the pot and still no sound, is someone able to show me where on a 4 slot board to connect the wires from the headphone header?

Thanks
