No wonder Cena has the belt,he's a company moron to state he will compete injured as bad off as he is...Don't worry, the kiddies will manage without seeing your corny performances for awhile
Whoa,I forgot Lashley was a wrassler in the WWE... LOL. I laugh because he received a pretty major push a few months back...totally fogot about him though.
BTW, Chuck Pulumbo should just turn heel and stay heel or go away because he's a horrible face wrassler imo.

so question: why is ricky steamboat still around? he hasn't wrestled in ages. what is he in the corporate part of the biz or something? useless.

i wonder what kind of match they're going to setup for no mercy.... elimination chamber please! man i love those matches, that and cage matches. i just hope that they don't do the thing where they have the other contender for the belt come out and win. orton deserves it.

He's part of booking and development for the WWE...in your words...corporate.

With the WWE Championship and the Cruiserweight Championship currently vacant, I'm sure hoping they do something good. Batista and the Not-So-Great Khali are doing that bamboo caged prison match. Vinnie Mac will make an announcement on ECW tonight about the fate of Cena's title.

ECW on Sci-Fi Results: 10-2-07

Big results
By Andrew Rote
October 2, 2007

DAYTON, Ohio – First, it seemed Tommy Dreamer had locked away the opportunity after beating Elijah Burke in the Elimination Chase to No Mercy. But after General Manager Armando Estrada worked his magic and added an unexpected round to the competition, Big Daddy V emerged as the challenger to the Straightedge Superstar’s gold.

Earlier in the night, CM Punk announced that while he was concerned with Burke and Dreamer’s contest to face him, he had a very big problem to deal with in Big Daddy V. He sent the behemoth a message, admitting he and Striker had gotten the champion’s attention, and then went on to defeat Mike Knox. By the end of the evening, that big problem became a big reality.

Speaking of titles, Mr. McMahon announced Tuesday night that the WWE Championship is now vacant. History will be made at No Mercy, however, as the situation is rectified.

Also on ECW on Sci Fi, Balls Mahoney finally got the answer he’s been waiting for. He just might not have liked it. After two weeks of being pulled away from the ECW Original, Kelly Kelly told Balls she would go out with him. Unfortunately, The Miz quickly came to her side and, despite Mahoney physically getting the better of The Miz, the self-proclaimed chick magnet revealed his ability to terminate Kelly from ECW.

Matches
CM Punk def. Mike Knox
Tommy Dreamer def. Elijah Burke (Elimination Chase)
Big Daddy V def. Tommy Dreamer (Elimination Chase)

but who's gonna get the belt chance? orton and kennedy? i bet they'll put the HHH and umaga fight together and make orton part of it in a triple threat match. which sucks because they'd prolly give it to umaga or HHH.

Worse...McMahon will win the belt, then taunt Triple H with it while using Umaga as his personal bodyguard. If this happens, I swear I'll never watch wrestling again!!! :very_ang:

Ahhh...who am I kidding?!! :tickled:

Kelly said yes to going out with Balls Mahoney however apparently The Miz holds Kelly's contract so he can have her terminated from ECW if she goes against him.

Well, Kurt Angle is busted:

http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/60908/Kurt-Angle-Arrested-for-DUI.htm

-According to WPXI News out of Pittsburgh, TNA Wrestler and former Olympian Kurt Angle was arrested on a charge of drunk driving last Friday afternoon. Last Friday afternoon Moon Township police got a report of an erratic driver. From the reports, the description of the car and the driver matched that of Kurt Angle. Authorities went to the Angle home and Angle admitted to driving the car home from a local bar. He subsequently failed a field sobriety test. Angle refused a blood test.

TMZ just received the following statement from Angle's attorney:
"Kurt Angle maintains his innocence relative to the charges brought by the police in this matter. The improper arrest occurred in the middle of the afternoon after Mr. Angle showed no signs of intoxication. The police have no blood alcohol content and not firsthand knowledge of his operation of his vehicle. We believe the motivation for this arrest is based upon Kurt Angle's celebrity status and we are confident that we will prevail when the truth becomes evident."

TNA Impact! Results: 10-4-07

Results courtesy of PWTorch (direct link). Edited for length.

1 -- BLACK REIGN DUSTIN RHODES (w/Misty the Rat) vs. RHINO

Apparently, the connection between Rhino, Judas, and Dustin is that Dustin is now James Mitchell's soldier and Rhino picked up a feud with Judas, who was feuding with Abyss. Tenay said Mitchell is working 24 hours a day to get inside people's minds. That's for sure. The devil never sleeps. The match started with Rhino in control. He lined up a Gore at 2:00, but Dustin side stepped Rhino and landed an uppercut blow. Dustin landed a running Stunner for a nearfall at 3:00. Dustin settled into a mat hold, then suddenly, they cut backstage where Raven was sitting in the dark on a throne-like chair. That was random.

They returned with Rhino executing a suplex in center ring. Rhino landed a series of suplexes before Rhino measured Dustin for the Gore, but Raven slipped to the outside and pulled Dustin out of the way. Dustin and Raven then knocked heads and Rhino rolled up Dustin from behind for the win.

After the match, Raven returned to the ring and attacked Rhino. Raven and Dustin then started beating on Rhino. Well, mainly Dustin, as Raven was already gassed. Dustin went up top for a splash on Rhino, but Abyss slowly walked out to make the save. He ran over Raven and Dustin, then Rhino speared Raven in the corner and to the floor. Abyss then guzzled Dustin and gave him a chokeslam. Suddenly, James Mitchell was in the ring. Abyss spun around and stared him down, causing Mitchell to collapse to the mat in fear. Abyss then snapped Mitchell's cane in half across his knee. Ah, that sucks. Abyss fought off a random Serotonin member, then Dustin retrieved his phallic object and smashed Abyss in the side of the head. He aimed for the spike to the head, but the lights went down. They came back on and Sting was in the ring to clothesline Dustin to the outside. Sting stood tall in the ring, but then Kurt Angle showed up on the video screen from a football field. He said he would have a message for Sting after the break. Don't drink and drive!

WINNER: Rhino in 8:00. There was a match? Well, at least TNA isn't bashful about presenting their brand of run-ins, interference, post-match activity taking precedence over in-ring action, and make-up-clad performers on the two-hour opening night. (*1/4)

2 -- GAIL KIM vs. MS. JACKIE MOORE (w/James Storm)

VKM and Roxxi came to ringside early in the match, followed by Christy Hemme and her team of Hoyt and Rave. Back in the ring, Gail fired up with clotheslines at 3:00. She landed a knee drop for a nearfall, then dropped Jackie with a cross-arm neckbreaker for the win.

After the match, Roxxi jumped Gail in the ring and they exchanged blows. Christy then entered the ring and took a forearm blow from Gail. Jackie, Roxxi, and Christy then ganged up on Gail to start a beat down on Gail. She ducked a boot from Roxxi, though, and bailed to the outside to avoid the three heel divas. Suddenly, the divas turned on each other and started brawling in the ring.

WINNER: Gail in 4:00. Good energy during the match. It was quickly forgotten with the post-match activity. (*)

3 -- TEAM PACMAN (RON KILLINGS & PACMAN JONES) vs. TEAM 3D (BROTHER RAY & BROTHER DEVON) -- TNA Tag Title match

Team 3D brought a football to the ring. Tenay said they want to get inside Pacman's head by bringing a football to the ring. Yes, mind games in the form of a football. Apparently, Team Pacman is the babyface team here. The bell sounded and Ray pounded the pigskin before placing it on top of the corner turnbuckle. Devon and Killings started things off, then Pacman tagged in. Ray said he wanted a piece of Pacman, so Devon tagged out to him. Ray brought his football into the ring and asked Pacman if he remembers how to play football. Ray then went into a three-point stance and charged Pacman, who jumped over him easily. Ray then took the football away from Pacman and threw it at Pacman's chest. Pacman picked it up and chucked it at Ray's back. Pacman then avoided all contact and tagged out to Killings, who dropped Ray on the mat and hit a top rope legdrop to the crotch. Killings and Pacman, not seasoned as tag champions, started dancing and playing around without going for a pin on Ray, who came up with a clothesline on Killings. He then went for a chair shot on Killings, but Killings ducked and hit a leg whip dropkick, sending the chair into Ray's face.

Pacman picked up the chair and threatened to hit Ray, but VKM came to ringside and jumped Killings. Pacman then chased VKM away with a chair as the ref called for the bell. Team 3D gave Killings a 3D back in the ring. The Steiners then came to the ring and Team 3D quickly bailed.

WINNER: No Decision in 6:00. Another "match" for Pacman without any contact between him and the opponents. Not a surprise with the non-finish to a title match on TV. The show is 100 percent more of the same booking. (1/2*)

4 -- GAUNTLET MATCH

Kaz and James Storm started the match. Tenay used the time to talk about the fight for your right match at the PPV. Suddenly, a clock appeared and Robert Roode walked out for the match. A TNA Mobile graphic appeared plugging the text messaging service. A clock appeared again and Tenay was handed a memo from Cornette's office. Gail, Roxxi, Christy, and Jackie have been barred from this match. Petey Williams then came out. Eric Young came out as the fifth participant and slapped hands with people on the front row. Jimmy Rave came out next and the crowd went quiet. Tenay said Rave had rave reviews from wrestling in Japan. Chris Sabin came out next. Still no eliminations. Ms. Brooks then walked out on the ramp to get a closer look at the action. Alex Shelley came out next and the MCMG started working over Rave in the corner. Petey was then eliminated first. Rave out second. There was action in the ring, but the director found Brooks's chest more inviting. Hoyt then came out and powerhoused on everyone in the ring.

Sabin was eliminated after a failed double-team attempt with Shelley. The final participant was Chris Harris, who ran over Hoyt and Shelley. Roode then shoved Kaz through the ropes and Brooks checked on Kaz. Roode got jealous and started pounding on Kaz on the floor while screaming at Brooks.

They returned with a replay of Chris Harris being eliminated during the break. Shelley got caught up top and Hoyt kicked him to the floor for the second elimination of MCMG. Young and Roode then worked together to eliminate Hoyt. That alliance lasted two seconds, as Roode and Young went back to feuding. Kaz then slipped to the outside and kissed Brooks on the hand before eliminating Roode. Impressive. But, Kaz was then knocked out by Storm and a superkick.

4b -- ERIC YOUNG vs. JAMES STORM

Young landed a dropkick in the opening seconds of the one-on-one match, then Storm slapped on a sleeper hold in center ring. Young propelled himself off the top rope, though, and bridged Storm into a pin while still in the sleeperhold to score the win. Storm was not happy afterward. Young gets a slot in the Fight for Your right match at the PPV.

WINNER: Young in 20:00. Crowd-pleasing finish to a serviceable 20 minutes of TV. Just a band-aid on the larger issue of not giving these mid-card wrestlers individual TV time to get over a personality or create an actual issue between the wrestlers to see a conflict carried out over the course of an eight-to-twelve-week program. (**)

5 -- TRIPLE X (CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & SENSHI w/Elix Skipper) & A.J. STYLES & CHRISTIAN CAGE vs. LAX (HOMICIDE & HERNANDEZ) & JUNIOR FATU & SAMOA JOE

The bell sounded and Tenay said they would rejoin Angle in California after the match, as the football game just ended. LAX started things off by working over Daniels. Daniels, the #1 Contender to the X Division Title, had enough of the face team and tagged out to Styles, who was afraid of Fatu's caboose. Fatu cleared Triple X to the outside, then Homicide flew through the middle ropes with a flip dive onto both men. Skipper then became involved on Homicide, allowing Christian to take control as they cut to a break.

They returned with Senshi working over Homicide with a head scissors on the mat. The heels continued to isolate Homicide in their corner. Homicide finally came back with a double DDT and he made the hot tag to Joe, who cleaned house. Christian took a snap powerslam for a nearfall, then the action broke down in the ring. Fatu stacked up XXX in the corner and landed a sandwich splash. Daniels dropped to the corner and Fatu did his signature turn around to measure Daniels for a stink face. The action broke down again and Hernandez flew over the top rope when Senshi pulled to the top rope down. Joe and Christian remained in the ring and Joe slapped on the rear naked choke. Daniels made the save for Christian and raked Joe in the eyes before kicking him to the corner. LAX then double-teamed Daniels and Homicide hit a top rope bulldog. West wheezed uncontrollably as he called the rapid-fire action including Hernandez flying over the top rope with a big splash on Styles. Back in the ring, Senshi went for the double foot stomp on Joe, but Joe moved and clotheslined Senshi and Christian. Skipper suddenly found himself in the ring and he took Fatu's sit-down shoulder breaker. Joe then put Christian up top and Senshi missed Joe with a kick and nailed Christian. Joe then caught Senshi with the Muscle Buster for the pin and the win.

WINNERS: Joe & Fatu & LAX in 16:00. Really nice action to fill a quarter-hour of the show. Very fast-paced taste of what Impact is supposed to deliver on a weekly basis. The only issue is that they didn't have a chance to really focus on the individual match-ups of LAX vs. XXX, Christian vs. Joe, and Daniels vs. that X Division champion guy for the PPV. (**3/4)

WWE Smackdown Results: 10-5-07

Locked in
By Louie Dee
October 5, 2007
DAYTON, Ohio – Motorcycle enthusiast Chuck Palumbo is usually the one building a masterpiece in his garage; on Friday Night SmackDown, however, “The Masterpiece” took apart the powerful Californian.

Moments after Palumbo stayed undefeated with an impressive Full Throttle win over Ace Steele, Chris Masters came from out of nowhere and blindsided Chuck. The extra-powerful “Masterpiece” then applied his dreaded Master Lock, a hold that has only ever been broken once. Palumbo tried to fight his way out of Masters’ strong grip, but just like 99.9 percent of Masters’ other victims, he eventually found himself down and out on the mat, thanks to “The Masterpiece’s” punishing full nelson. Once the damage was done, Masters repeatedly yelled, “you shouldn’t have messed with me Chuck, because that’s what happens!” It was the first time since his arrival on SmackDown that Palumbo has found himself in this position, and there’s no telling what will happen if and when these two powerhouses from southern California next hook up inside the ring.

Down-home debut

After weeks of introductions to our fans, Jesse & Festus finally made their long-awaited SmackDown in-ring debut in Dayton. Just as Jesse promised, Festus was all business inside the squared circle; the seemingly placid and harmless country boy went from bumpkin to wrecking ball once the bell rang, finishing off the team Mike Tolar & Chad Collyer by nailing Collyer with an impressive looking drop-slam. Once the bell rang again, though, Festus returned to his seemingly hypnotic state as Jesse praised his efforts. Watch Jesse & Festus’ victorious debut…
A Noble roll

Jamie Noble also continued his winning ways, defeating Jimmy Wang Yang in an exciting cruiserweight battle. Both men battled back and forth, but Noble was able to catch the high-flying redneck in his signature gutbuster for the pinfall. Noble is now 2-for-2 since Acting SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero made Hornswoggle abdicate the Cruiserweight Championship two weeks ago, and his latest victory may put him in the driver’s seat on the road to crowning a new champion.

Big Red Beatdown

Kane was also on the winning track this week, dominating the self-proclaimed “Future Hall of Famer” Kenny Dykstra. Even the presence of his girlfriend, Victoria, outside the ring couldn’t help poor Dykstra, whose recent hard luck continued when he succumbed to a vicious chokeslam.

Long road to recovery

Our fans finally heard some good news on the condition of General Manager Theodore Long this week. While talking to the mystery woman who attacked Torrie Wilson last week, Acting GM Vickie Guerrero revealed that Long is finally out of his coma. However, he’s still in no condition to return to work, so Vickie will remain in charge of SmackDown for the foreseeable future. Surely, however, Vickie joins our fans and everyone in WWE in sending their best wishes to Long for a quick and full recovery.

David vs. Goliath

Just 48 hours before he faces Finlay at No Mercy, Rey Mysterio faced the biggest challenge of his career – literally – by taking on The Great Khali in SmackDown’s main event. The overmatched Mysterio – who gave up 21 inches and over 250 pounds to the Punjabi giant – gave it his all against Khali, and looked to be in the driver’s seat until Finlay interfered, causing a disqualification. Finlay & Khali’s 2-on-1 attack was cut short however, as the giant’s No Mercy opponent, Batista, ran to the ring to help Mysterio. The Animal said earlier in the night that he couldn’t wait for the Punjabi Prison Match, and may have helped himself gain the upper hand by nailing Khali with a chair.

The Captain makes it happen

Matt Hardy & MVP may not be able to get along too well, but they’ve been impressive as WWE Tag Team Champions. The two continued bickering after MVP cheated to defeat Matt in a push-up contest, but somehow, SmackDown’s “Odd Couple” held it together to once again retain the gold by defeating Deuce & Domino. Of course, it wasn’t without a signature shortcut from MVP, whose low blow on Domino allowed Hardy to nail the Twist of Fate for the win. Next week, these two will have to step up their game even more, as when MVP tried to get Hardy vs. Undertaker made, he instead got his team a match next week against The Phenom and his brother, Kane.

Matches
Chuck Palumbo def. Ace Steele
Jamie Noble def. Jimmy Wang Yang
WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & U.S. Champion MVP def. Deuce & Domino
Kane def. Kenny Dykstra
Jesse & Festus def. Mike Tolar & Chad Collyer
Rey Mysterio def. The Great Khali (Disqualification)

WWE No Mercy PPV Results: 10-7-07

Real-time results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's ongoing report)

Vince McMahon and Coach walked to the ring at the start of the show. Vince awarded the WWE Title to Randy Orton, the announced that he would face Triple H in the first match of the night.

1 -- RANDY ORTON vs. TRIPLE H -- WWE Title match

Orton used McMahon as a distraction early on, but Hunter quickly regrouped. Orton then tried to leave with the belt, but Hunter smashed him on the floor with a right hand blow. Orton kept trying to leave, but Hunter pulled him back into the ring and nailed a high knee to the face. Orton came back with an inverted backbreaker and started to work on Hunter. Hunter then came back with a series of clotheslines and a top rope superplex for a close nearfall. Hunter caught Orton with a spinebuster, but it was good for a two count only. Orton rolled out of the ring to regroup and Hunter gave chase with right hand blows. Back in the ring, Orton caught Hunter a step slow getting back into the ring and he nailed a spike DDT while Hunter hung across the middle rope. Orton scored a two count, then he started to stalk Hunter for the RKO. Hunter blocked it, though, and went for the Pedigree, but Orton back dropped out of the finisher. Nice sequence. Orton then missed with a knee drop and Hunter slapped on the figure four. No mention of Flair. Orton grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold. Orton regrouped, then pulled Hunter out of the ring to the floor. Ross then mentioned Flair with the figure four, as Orton missed with a shoulder block in the corner. Hunter then rolled up Orton from behind and scored a pin to win the match and the belt. Ross said history has been made at No Mercy.

Afterward, Orton held his head in disbelief. He slowly walked around ringside while Hunter held the belt in the air and played to the crowd. Orton collapsed to the ground in shock while Hunter continued to celebrate in the ring. Orton then slowly walked up the entrance ramp, near tears. Hunter killed more time celebrating while Ross and Lawler discussed the historic implications of the title change.

WINNER: Triple H in 12:00. Good, fundamentally-sound, dramatic title match. The Chase lasted all of 30 minutes of a PPV, and we're sure to get a re-match at the next PPV since Orton would have a re-match clause. (**1/2)

WWE No Mercy PPV Results: 10-7-07

2 -- JEFF HARDY & BRIAN KENDRICK & PAUL LONDON vs. CADE & MURDOCH & MR. KENNEDY

Lillian Garcia announced this as a special bonus match. The babyface team came out, then Cade said what happened on Raw will not happen tonight. Murdoch said they found a new partner: Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy took the ceiling mic and said everyone lucked out because they just picked up the best possible tag partner. He announced his hometown of Green Bay, Wisc. and predicted 5-0. Well, it's Packers 7, Bears 0 right now. The Chicago fans booed heavily. The match started with the babyfaces working on Murdoch, but Kendrick lost control when the heels slingshot him to the outside and he smashed hard on the ground. Kendrick then came back with a swinging DDT off the top rope on Cade. Kendrick then ran across the ring and hot tagged to Jeff, who cleaned house. Jeff nailed a Swanton Bomb on Murdoch and had the pin, but Cade broke up the pin. Kennedy took a tag, then London took a tag and nailed a springboard dropkick on Kennedy. Ross with the first mention of the OU-UT game about the great action yesterday. The action in the ring completely broke down with men flying everywhere. Suddenly, Kennedy caught London up top and hit the forward roll Packer drop for the pin and the win. Ross said that match was non-stop action. But, was it total non-stop action?

WINNERS: Kennedy & Murdoch & Cade in 10:00. Take the five minutes from Raw and double the action for this one, with crazy spots normally reserved for TNA's X Division. (**)

MEANWHILE...

Backstage, Hunter talked to a random guy before approaching Batista and his title belt. And the Evolution global domination is complete. Batista repeated Hunter's quote from the last PPV, then Hunter said good luck in that Punjabi prison match tonight, complete with sarcastic disdain for the match. Hunter spun around and McMahon got in Hunter's face. McMahon said he gives the people what they want. He said they advertised Hunter vs. Umaga tonight, so they're going to have that match tonight...for the title. Hunter's smirk turned into a tough frown.

3 -- C.M. PUNK vs. BIG DADDY V (w/Matt Striker) -- ECW Title match

V came out first, then Punk came out to a strong hometown reception. Punk went right after V, but V shook him off. He did the big rear mount and spun around Punk's rear end before landing a huge chop to the chest. He then went for a big corner splash, but Punk moved and slipped up top for a missile dropkick. Suddenly, Matt Striker ran in the ring and attacked Punk, giving Punk the DQ win. After the match, V gave Punk a Samoan Drop, then landed successive big elbow drops. V held the title belt in the air to draw boos while Punk writhed in pain on the mat. Referees then helped Punk out of the ring and up the entrance ramp while he coughed up a red substance.

WINNER: Punk via DQ in 2:00; Punk retains the belt. Geez, another ECW Title match ends in a silly finish. (n/a)

And now for something completely STUPID...

Cole and JBL recapped the Matt Hardy and MVP program, which has become the only reason to watch Smackdown these days. They went to the ring for a Chicago-style deep dish pizza competition that Tazz hosted. He quickly lost the crowd by describing his New York-style pizza. Tazz then introduced Melina and Maria as the contest judges. MVP came out first, followed by Hardy. JBL has upped his sports analogy reference ratio to 1 reference for every 2 sentences. MVP took the mic before the contest and explained that he can't participate because of the high calorie content of the pizza. Maria said she's from Chicago and she's not fat. MVP said it must be the pizza affecting her IQ. MVP continued to talk about Hardy being out of shape, so he shouldn't be eating pizza. They went back and forth on cheating during the past competitions and who's lying and who's crying. Tazz stepped in and said let's eat some pizza, but not before MVP continued to talk.

They finally went to the table and started eating. JBL took a shot at JR's BBQ. And they started eating like they were taking their time. Hardy ended up winning with two pizzas vs. zero pizzas for MVP. Melina explained that MVP never finished his pizzas. Hardy started to feel nauseous, then MVP asked if he was feeling sick. Hardy then turned around and upchucked on MVP before his music hit again. Cole with the line of the night that MVP stands for Most Valuable Puke. I can't believe WWE is charging $40 for this glorified TV show.
Some of us don't pay the $40 thank goodness :oh_no:

4 -- TRIPLE H vs. UMAGA -- WWE Title match

They didn't wait for the bell and started throwing haymakers in center ring. Hunter then nailed a DDT, but Umaga no-sold and charged Hunter, who pulled down the top rope to send Umaga over the top rope to the floor. Umaga quickly came back with a stiff kick to the face before going up top, only to miss with a diving headbutt. Hunter and Umaga then teased finishing holds before Hunter caught Umaga with a spinebuster. Ross and Lawler discussed whether there have ever been three different WWE champions in one night. Ross, fortunately having pushed WM 9 out of his memory due to the horrific nature of the show and outfits worn that night, didn't mention Bret, Yoko, and Hogan wearing the belt on the same night. Umaga started to work over Hunter, but Hunter moved out of the way of a big rear splash in the corner. He then waited for Umaga to post himself in the ringpost before nailing the Pedigree for the pin and the win. Afterward, Hunter held his arm in pain. If that's not a legit injury, it's a heck of sell job. Afterward, Hunter stood on the ramp and held one arm up in the air for the crowd.

WINNER: Hunter in 7:00 to retain the WWE Title. So, does Hunter pick up a second PPV payday? If so, I hope this one goes in the college fund. Just a match with a few high points that looked more like a TV match at the top of the second hour. (*)
