Look at the great aracade set up Dinododo has at his house, It was a pleasure to hang with Nathan, Chris, Todd and George on the final day and obviously Adam and their spouses.

While I didn't care too much for the Terry's Day Out flash animation (except for the part where he reported the protagonist's car was "Burning!"), I quite enjoyed Geese's Attorney. This original recording comes from "Last Will and Temperament," probably the best-known skit by Canadian comedy troupe The Frantics (wiki / official website). In the original recording, the deceased was bequeathing a "boot to the head" to each of his relatives/associates. Here's the version they did for their TV series, which varies slightly from the original audio release of the skit. Here's the audio recording of the "sequel" skit, Tae Kwon Leep. Finally, here's their song, Boot to the Head, which served as the ending theme of their TV series.
Do a youtube search for "the frantics" -- there's quite a few of their TV skits there, including alot of chapters of their Canadian "superhero" character, Mr. Canoehead.

Tonight, is the first time that I had to draw on someone. I came within two heartbeats of becoming a killer (justified or not).

I was working at the Strip store. The've been having a major problem with the homeless in that area. On top of the panhandling, drinking/drug-use and loitering things have been escalating to theft and assault.


I ejected one of our "regulars" off the property...

and he came back...

with a 4 foot section of steel pipe.

He tried ambush me (bitch), but my reaction-speed was good and I managed to deploy my tonfa/baton to parry his first blow. I partally parried the next two hits while I went for my pepper spray. The bastard got the entire contents of that can, but still kept coming.

Fuck!

No more options.

I pulled.

Once he saw the revolver, he decided that it wasn't worth it anymore and bolted. I chased him to the edge of the property while screaming at the clerk to call 911.


The whole altercation didn't last more than 30 seconds.


As it is now, he's still on the loose with metro looking for him and my arm is in a sling, but I consider it better than the alternative: if he hadn't stopped when I pulled, I would have shot him, I would have shot and killed him right there. I would have been legally justified in killing him, but that wouldn't have made it "right."
