I see some loose cart MVS games can cost as little as $10 to over $100, not to bad IMO but Sega STV games seem cheaper, as well as some NAOMI games.

Why is this? I don't think it could be the technology involved.

I'm sure the more knowledgeable folks will spell it out much better, but you can be sure it's a combination of at the least, these 2 things:

- Possible smaller production numbers made when compared to other major game releases

- Demand by the buying community for certain titles (just check the going rate for a Euro Kizuna for crying out loud)

supply vs. demand - it's pretty much that simple.

You can blame the collectors for the MVS kit situation, but they usually won't give bare carts the time of day, so I'd say that they're pretty much just a pure supply & demand type situation.

Probably a lot of reasons, but mostly demand, I think. I like a lot of games on ST-V. Some of them I like very much. But I don't think any of them quite make my top 50 favorites of all time, whereas a bunch of Neo games do.

The hardware is also cool. It's not hard to switch out an ST-V cart, but there's something cool about only having to hit a select button to be able to choose any of 4 or 6 games without even turning off the cab. I'm not sure what the appeal of a 1-slot MVS board is.

The closest equivalent to MVS games would be CPS-2, and from what I've seen, in general they tend to actually be more expensive than MVS carts, I think (even without the A board).

Then you have to factor in CPS-2 suicide....

Couldn't have said it better my self,it's all about supply vs demand. There's not much any body can do about it, unless the market all of sudden died out.
