yeah i was bored, so I made this.

Anyway, what do you prefer? Kyokugen for me. Once SvC came out I finally had my chance to take on Ken, Ryu and Akuma in a more equal environment seeing as before Ryo looked and played like ass in Capcom's versions.

Kyokugen takes the cake for me. Although I do wish they would bring Robert Garcia into the versus series games so I could use his Kyokugen skills against the Shotokan boys as well as everybody else.

Since Spin mentioned SVC, I put Kyokugen all the way...
Ryo was the 2nd character I used for serious play and was blown away by his power...
I wanted to see how Level 8 was just for kicks once, and I chose Ryo to get the job done...needless to say I pimp-slapped my way to Shin Akuma who managed to take me to 3 rounds, but only because I was getting real cocky at that point...
that cinched my theory that Ryo owns heavily...Serious Karate is the only one who can still give me problems now and again...

Kyokugen owns just about everyone in Chaos not just the Shotos. Ryo is my best character and I only use him for serious play.

I'd love to fight a good shoto user in SvC with my Ryo. It'd be just too awesome.

It wouldn't be close unless they used Akuma.

Definately Kyokugenryu. Hands down. The one-handed fireballs are my main reason for liking them. (I even preferred using Dan in the origonal Street Fighter Alpha because of it.)

But let's not leave out Kushnood Butt as honorable mention here. He's definately the next big thing in Kyokugen. If only he had the Ryuuko Ranbu.

Too bad we didn't see any Sakazakis in MOTW. Anyone have a link to that Kyokugen Karate Poster from the MOTW photo gallery?

Kyokugen!

I'm going to give props to Kyokugen again due to the fact that Shotokan's Hurricane Kick isn't that great. The dragon punch, the fireballs, and some of the supers work out just fine, but that damn kick is worthless. It always seems to clear everyone's head and leave you open for a disaster if you hit the ground without connecting.

In SVC I play my best with Mr. Karate. I try to use Kyo and Terry from time to time, but I have found that I can do the most damage with the least amount of time or hassle with Mr. Karate's Kyokugen Mastery.

KYokugen hands down. better developed, more skill, more moves, and don't just do shotowhoring moves.

I don't like Kyokugen, but they'll OWN Anatsetsukuen for free.

Wow, I should've expected a whole wave of Kyokugen fanboys, in a forum like this :p

Anyway, Ansatsuken for me. Simple, yet devastating. I like Kyokugen as well, but Ansatsuken is simply better.

Plus the fact that Ryu and Akuma, storywise, are more powerful than the Kyokugeners.

Ryo and Robert would prolly be at Ken's level, while I'd put Takuma around Ryu's level.

Hey Spin, good to see ya again.
You might remember me as SF Junkie from GameFAQs.

Good thing you don't post there anymore tho, the Fighting Game board has gone to hell.

He has something similar to it, if I remember correctly, if not the actual Ryuuko.

I wouldn't say either is stronger, although I much prefer Robert and Yuri to Ryu and Ken.

To think that no one has mentioned Sean yet. :tickled:
If Kushnood has the Ryooku Ranbu, I'd love to know the input for it. Is it the same as the old qcf, hcb + A/C? Or is it more obscure than that?
