2. Yes, some old bastard with no vision and no hearing left backed out of a parking space, and caved in the passenger door. He claimed he never saw me there, but all he had to do was turn his head a little or look in the rearview.

1992 ford tempo gl, the damn thing has an exhaust leak, and dies before it reaches the end of my street. i went from a kicking el camino to my stepdad's old truck, to this. i'd still have the truck had we not fallen into debt and my parents not sold it.
accident...dude the thing can't make it out of the drive way, sure i've put some work into it but i just stopped caring, i'll prolly leave it there to rust and save up to put a down payment on something later on
and i never drive it anyways it's such a piece of shit. if anyone wants it it'll cost you about $300 and the price of picking this demon vehicle up.

2. Many times, first was a 1994 Nissan Maxima (totaled), then a 1986 Sentra about 3 or 4 times, then my 75 Impala, then my 92 Ranger but it wasn't my fault, after that I totaled a 94 Sentra.
Kinda sad that I have only had 2 card that I haven't wrecked.
3. Not much longer, going to trade it in soon for a 2004 Pathfinder Armada or else the Infiniti FX until the Skyline comes out here.

As for accidents, no i've never been in one. I hit a curb pulling into a parking lot (being a total dumbass) once and got a flat but thats about it.

Actually, I like mine better than the new Accord coupe model, the current one is too curvy for me.
It is alittle scratched up b/c I had to park on the street for 2 years (god I hate NY parking scene). But other than that, it runs smooth as silk.
I drive a 1996 Saab 900 SE with a turbo-charged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 215 horsepower. It's black with black leather interior, sunroof, all power, two-door coupe, heated seats and six-disc CD changer in the trunk. Nice little car I certainly can't complain.
(1) 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (Orvis Special Edition: has two tone leather seats with reverse contrast piping and matching spare cover, special orvice green paint job w/ matching alloy rims, running boards and a stock lift kit that puts it 2 - 3 inches higher than all other limiteds).
i love this frigin thing.
(2) Never been in an accident with it and I don't plan on it either.
(3) I definitely want to keep it for another year as I LOVE 95 limiteds. I am looking into a range rover as my next vehicle as they have declined so much in price.

Probably for at least another 5 years or so. I bought the sucker brand new in '99, and I plan on getting at least 10 years out of it dammit! That's part of the reason I bought a Honda. Good reliability ratings, it was a good price, I like the car, good mileage, and I knew I wouldn't be able to afford another new car for awhile :)Quote:

1. 2002 Silver Hyundai Elantra, nothing special, it gets me from A to B, and sometimes C.
2. Not with this car, however it replaced my totalled '98 Ford ZX2 Escort which I miss very much.
3. Considering my ZX2 had just broken the 100k mark before my accident, and I bought the Elantra with the money I got from the settlement and it only had 21k miles on it at the time, I imagine I'll be with this vehicle for several years (or until the cheap Korean parts from which its made burst into flames).

I was going to do the Silvia conversion but I wanted to keep my car looking like shit so when I blew someone off the road they would have to stop and absorb what had just happened.

2) Not yet but the first month that I had it I left it parked in front of a friends house while we went to pick up my exhaust and when we got back some dickless asshat keyed it ALL the way around the entire car. Cockmouths like that need to be beat with a rubber hose.:very_ang:
3) I'll have it for at least 3-5 more years I expect, long enough to completely rebuild the engine and turbo/nitrous it, but dont worry, no rice here I do nothing but JDM.

I hope do dump this car as soon as possible. It's a great ride and all, but I bought it because some so called car aficionados claimed this car could take a super charger, and I had planned on modding the shit out of it. However, when I got the money to start doing mods, I started doing my homework, and basically what I found out is that if I put a supercharger on this car it the engine would take it for a few months, but then it would crap out.
I'll eventually trade it in for a 2004 SVT cobra.

2. 7 weeks after I got it some idiot (speaking english apparently wasnt an option for him, nor was having insurance) did a u-turn across 4 lanes and ended up right in front of me going 5mph while I was traveleing at 40 or 45. $8400 in front end damage (thanks allstate). One year later, same time of year another foreigner, this time they thought it was ok to sit still IN A EXPRESS LANE while trying to read a street sign and no brake lights were on AND it was raining. Someone in front of me pulled the wonderful last second lane change revealing the stopped car in front of me and no distance to stop. $3400 or 4300 in front end damage again (thanks allstate, this time my car actually came back looking brand new).

Not to toot da horn, but my current car was my first major purchase after graduation... so it was a satisfying experience to buy it myself and pay it off 2 years after purchase. I wanted to get the monkey off the back ASAP in order to save for a house (that I now live in). :buttrock:

2. 2 accidents. The first was my dumbass fault. I tried to pass someone on an icy road and slid about ~100 feet into a tree. The second wasn't my fault. I stopped in a road to let someone on a bicycle cross the road. Someone (well) behind me claimed he thought he "didn't have to stop there" :annoyed: and subsequently crashed into me.
3. PRobably at least another 5 years. I plan on buying a 2005 Mustang when they are released :buttrock: but I will keep my truck as the main vehicle, and what I will probably always drive to work (where it is filthy).

1) I have 2 cars. My everyday car is a 1985 Chevy Caprice Classic Wagon (beige). It's old and has a LOT of problems, but I love it. My other car is a 1995 Chevy Impala SS. I wanted it for a LONG time and finally found one I was willing to pay for last August.
2) I rearended someone 4 years ago in the wagon. He wanted to settle without insurance but I wasn't having it. I never heard back from him after that and neither did my insurance. He actually wanted me to write a check (no checkbook) for $300 to pay for his bumper, which already had ben hit a LONG time ago as where I supposedly dented it, it was rusty (rust doesn't form in 2 seconds).
3) I plan on using my wagon until I cannot use it anymore. Until I can no longer find parts and no longer get it fixed. A long time. The Impala is the same thing.

I always wanted a Bronco II growing up, I absolutely love that style of truck. But when I saw that Explorer on the lot, I just knew that I had to have it. I just made the last payment before the end of the year; it's now mine, all mine:D
I've been in one bumper to bumper, nothing major.

Yea, with my old 94 Honda Accord EX (I loved that car), hit a rain slick one block away from my house and took out a parked chevy tahoe along with my car. Thankfully this was at 4 in the morning and no one was around so no one got hurt. Got over $6000 from salvaging my car though (Thanks geico) which helped me pay for the Civic.
I'll drive this car until it dies, hopefully MANY years from now.
