I'm a Yankee fan, but honestly I think Boston will win.

It also IMO would be the perfect way for The Rocket to go out. Pitch his final Major League game against the team he started with in May of 1984. I think it would be fitting.

Boston deserves to win when they take advantage of the breaks that they get in the game.

The Yankees are not a great team, they are good, but not great. That's the difference between 2003 and 1999 when they beat Boston in the ALCS then. I also don't think they deserve to win because they are incredibly inconsistent as a team. They were devastating back in April, then they just suddenly slacked off and it's been the same story for the entire year. You never know what Yankee team will show up. Is it going to be the pitching that shows up and the offense that stays home? Is it going to be the offense that shows up and the pitching that stays home? Or are both just going to stay home?

I've been a Yankee fan my entire life but I can honestly say if I had to put money down on this game I would probably put it down on Boston looking at it from a logical perspective as opposed to a fan who never thinks his team can lose.

If the Yankees win, cool. But if they don't, oh well. I think it would be for the better because they need to sort out things on that team. Either way I hope it is a good game tonight as opposed to a blow out in either team's favor.

I think a Boston/Florida series could actually be good. After the fiasco during interleague play with both teams scoring 20+ runs on each other in back to back games I believe it was this could be a very offensive World Series.

Yeah, tonight should prove to be interesting...

But you know what, I think Pedro is hurt. Last start, his fastball was missing big time velocity, even in the middle of the game it was mid to low 80s, it's usually 87-88. He also seemed to be having trouble with the curveball, and he just didn't look too good. I think something is wrong with him. Anyway, I think he might be on a short leash tonight, he's never been too successful against the yankees, and the Sox can't let this one get away from them.

Don't be surprised if we see Wakefield pitching something tonight, he's been fantastic....so far. And since he's a knuckleballer, rest really isn't that big of an issue. He could probably start 2 games back to back if he wanted to.

Anyways, what's up with giambi and not being able to hit that high and tight fastball :p

Sorry guys, I grew up in Boston and been burnt too many times by them. This is no different, I hope they win, but frankly, I don't think they can beat their former ace.

I have no prediction.

The series has been way too close all through for me to put my guess on one team over another.

Obviously, I'm hoping for the Sox to pull off a win.

But if the Yankees get that honor, I won't be surprised [or disappointed] in the least.
