Street Fighter Arranged MP3 Goodness

So my buddy Spin comes over yesterday and plops down this cd and says "I think you'll like this". I shrug and put it in my cd player. All I have to say is holy shit, this shit is too good to keep to myself. Since I'm the nice, sharing dude, here are some of those tracks for your download pleasure.

Some great tunage here folks. My personal favorite is Fei Long. The last minute and a half shows how beautiful music can be.

This shit is excellent. I only got the burned cd, so I didn't know the name of the album. Time to find a place that has it and put in my order. This is probably the best video game AST I've ever heard. I love it when they arrange a track that sounds so completely different from the original, yet has the sprinkles of familiarity that's needed in order to recognize it.

Alph Lyla was CAPCOM's official band back in the late 80s / early 90s. They contributed 2 vocal songs to the original Japanese soundtrack of the theatrical anime film, Street Fighter II. Alph Lyla's name has used a number of different English spellings, and tends to vary from album to album (one of the most commonly-seen spellings is Alfh Lyra). The band's name is written in Japanese as アルフライラ (pronounced "arufu raira").

Toriyama Yuuji is a famous Japanese guitarist-turned-music-producer (I like to think of him as Japan's answer to Joe Satriani). In addition to a library of solo albums, and arrangements and compositions for a variety of Japanese vocal performers, Toriyama also wrote/performed the instrumental tracks found in the original Japanese soundtrack of the theatrical anime film, Street Fighter II. When his name is written in English, it's usually rendered as Yuji Toriyama (although the phonetic pronunciation of his first name is Yuuji -- his name is written in Japanese as 鳥山雄司 ).

Hells yeah. I scored these from Napster a long time ago, and have been with me over the course of three hard drive changes since. The Cammy tune really kicks major ass, but all these tracks are incredible...more than worth ANY SF fan's time.

The SF II: Alpha Lyra is hard to come by, and Vega/Balrog's "Splendor" is one of the coolest instrumental songs. I've been looking for it ever since my old compy died.

"Splendor" has an odd feel of flamenco combined with traditional Cuban music. I love it.

And is it just me, or does Cammy's theme sound vaguely familiar? It's probably nothing but I get the feeling that I have heard something similar elsewhere.

I post my selling stuff on Everything Else board. And I didn't know that it was called SFII: Instrumental Album since it just written SFII. But looking from the picture of the CD cover and the track list, it is my SF II CD that is for sale. Oh, but it is missing the bonus sticker and spine card. But everything is still in perfect condition.

I have a rough version that I hadn't uploaded to my site. The original ends kinda funny, so when I redid this I made sure people didn't go "wtf" when it ended.

I also did some cool panning, so if you listen to it with headphones you'll get the full effect. My site is having problems for some reason, so the link may not work right now. Just keep checking it.

*EDIT - Forgot to mention the fact that the first 2 minutes is just about all of Esaka really. It's just that same track repeated..

The only part that's changed is that I put in a guitar solo where a regular melody hook should've been. I think it makes it more of a rock-ish cover.

I actually think it'd be cool to write game soundtracks, but I haven't the foggiest how to go about getting into that stuff. Plus, I don't know if I'm trained well enough to even do something like that.
