DMC2 is another.
And there are loads more like Silent Hill 3, The Getaway, Primal, Disaster Report etc etc etc.
Mabye there arnt loads of 'massive' games out for it - or a slew of 2d shooters/fighters, but there are plenty of worthy games if yer willing to take the plunge and try summit a bit different.

I'm keeping mine, even though I don't play it much anymore. I only have 7 games for it after owning it for a year. No, I'm not impressed so far, but I'm keeping it incase something comes out that I must have.

I understand the PS2 has a LOAD of garbage; but right now its the system with the most games...that goes for all of us "hardcore" players. By hardcore, I mean stubborn.
Here's a list of classic games that may rekindle your love for your PS2:

Shinobi [CMON guys!]
Contra [....what a game!]
RYGAR [amazing old style gameplay! great game!]

and others. i wouldn't sell it; its got a lot of treats left, im sure.

What's coming out for any system after January? I'm serious, too - I haven't been keeping up. I'm keeping myself busy enough with a backlog a mile long and plenty of new releases...
That said, all my purchases have been for the PS2 lately (with the exception of 1 cube game). And I still haven't bought a game for my XBox...

I don't see any point to bring up this issue.
That means we can say the same thing to Neo AES, DC, Saturn, etc. but I bet you don't own "good" PS2 titles.
Are you telling me Xbox is better? Look at the titles and tell me if it's any better than rest of console in the market.

I sold my PS2 over a year ago, but I may purchase another one at some point.
I would recommend keeping it, 'just in case'. The amount of money you would get for it now wouldn't be worth selling it, IMO.
PS2 has got a shitload of good games now, and will have a lot more in the future.
It's the only system that really has a good collection of RPG's for it. FFX-2, FF-7 (rumor), FF12, XenoSaga (from Namco to validate this for you Square haters out there), and practically anything from GameArts or Enix will be on PS2 simply because it's the system that has 4 million units installed in Japan.
Also there's Shinboi, DDR, VF4 and VF4 evolution, Tekken 4, and then there's the upcoming games like Capcom All-Stars, GGXX, the aformentioned RPG's, Silent Hill, the next MGS game, Devil May Cry 2, and 90% of the games out of Japan will probably have some form on PS2 as it's the one that they make the most money off of.

I bought my JPN PS2 at the launch date from Japan (and of course I spent a lot of money on this baby) and I'm very happy with the system I have.
Maybe I miss some posts you made before but I have no idea what kinda problem you have encounted with your PS2.

Thats just the thing Liquid...I have very few PS2 games left. I'm not a collector...I generally have my fill of a game and then trade or sell it (unless its a Neo game).
Understand that I'm not knockin the PS2. It has provided some of the best games I have ever played, but my interest is gone. k'_127 provided an awesome list of games that, if I had never played those that can before them (i.e. prequels), I would probably dig them very much...but its just not so anymore.
I don't know...maybe I'm too old-school? Maybe games in general are loosing their favor? All I know is...every game that k'_127 listed rings "been there, done that" with me. Perhaps I'll be excited when PS3 comes out, who knows?
The only game I'm excited about is SR3(but that's the fanboy in me talking)...but I can just go over to Verbatum's crib when that comes out :D

it's something normal Shadowland .it's all about taste . personaly I don't see any worthy exclusive game on XBox except for 2 games : shenmue 2 and ninja gaiden . I hate most amerian-made games (not all) like max pyne , hit man and all the FPS .
but some others find the X box the only worthy nex-gen system around .
the same goes for nintendo and it's first party titles
I own a GC and PS2 . I am happy with the GC . but I like my PS2 10 time more than how I like the GC

Nah...I'm still keeping my Neo (in fact I just purchased a new game for it), I'm just unloading some of the games I purchased in bundles that I don't really care for.
I'm also selling off my Dreamcast collection. There seem to be some pretty big DC collectors here, so it's best that I sell my items to them instead of sending them to eBay or Funcoland.
Is this particular website overly dramatic? Of course. More so than the other gaming sites I visit. Is it worthy staying for the drama? Not really, but there are SOME useful threads to check out regarding gaming in general here and the market for selling here is unusually lucrative.

95% of the XBox games are on either the PC or other consoles. The exclusive games aren't my forte. And I guess I'm not alone on this one.

It's all in tastes shadowland, I to was highly fed up with the ps2 after the so-called "uber" games of ZOE, MGS 2, and FFX. It wasn't until *cough*SHINOBI*cough*, GTA: VC, Smackdown:SYM, and a few others that made me pull it out again.
At least keep the system around if you get rid of all your games, it'll save you the aggravation of getting a new one when a game you want comes out for it
