Speaking about competition I saw an add on various cable channels about INWA (I think that it's called), which supposedly airs on pay-per-view every Wednesday night. I saw that former WWE guys like Saturn, Raven, Justin Credible, and even Sandman from good old ECW are there.
Has anyone seen their pay-per-view shows? If they are any good, I hope that some network picks it up to give WWE a run for its money.

I agree, HHH has had the belt so long becuase he's banging the bosses daughter and thus has a hand in the creative department, but I have to disagree about him being a bad wrestler. He gives OK promos and he also isn't terrible in the ring. He's nothing special, but he's not as bad as people want to make him out to be. My main gripe with HHH is he never wants to sell for any up and coming talent, so he's basically holding down the rest of the roster while he gets 30 minutes of every raw devoted to him. And IMO that's why the product on the raw brand is so stagnated. HHH is holding down guys like RVD amd booker t, who if because huge stars, could make the show interesting again.Quote:

It's a pretty good PPV and it's like watching the best of ECW with some old WCW action thrown in. I use to get it every week for like two months before school and work stopped me from doing so and it is really worth checking out.
Hell it's the only place where Disco Inferno is actually good.....dare I say better then half of the current wwf roster( i refuse to call it wwe )

I watch cause it's a soap opera with action. Me and my woman watch it every week. The cruiser weight division on smackdown is really fun to watch. That and Minnesota's own Brock lesner.
Booker T, from my point of view, is the most colourful(no pun intended) wrestler out there. It's fun to watch him do his thing and he puts a lot of his energy into it (same with Angle, Benoit, Flair, etc). Like he knows that every minute he is in the spotlight may be the last. It's something more wrestlers could learn from.
Lazy wrestlers like HHH really do hurt the program. Same old, same old, "look at me, im cool" shit that is undeserving for a schlup like HHH.

ANYWAYS, I have been a WWE fan since 1987. Reason why I still watch? I guess it's in the blood. I don't sit ALL the way thru the shows these days, but I can like to catch a good old fashion solid TV match now and then. And there are some athletes I like to watch because they are flat out entertaining and/or gifted.
My faves include: Booker T, newcomer Mark Jindrak (he was cool in the WCW days), Y2J, Shawn Michaels, Sean O'Haire (BIG UPSIDE on this kid!), Sho Funaki, Rey Mysterio, Spanky, Ultimo Dragon, and couple others. Randy Orton ain't bad as well. Not to mention Angle, Benoit and Cena.
Will I ever stop completely watching it? I doubt it. I just like to keep up with it and see how things are going for Vinnie Mac. Like I said, I grew up with his federation and no matter how lousy it may sink to at times, it will always remain intriguing enough (to me) to keep up with. In a weird way, it's almost like a brother to me. I could always rely on it to come on at a certain time and keep me occupied for 2 hours or so.

The Hurricane is definitely a favorite of mine as well Burnout. In my opinion, he has by far the best repertoire of moves on the RAW roster. They need to send him back to Smackdown! though so he can light up the cruiserweight division. We need Vince Russo back as the writer, he was the tightest wrestling writer ever and they took him away.
i watch raw because of kane and i like to watch rvd and la resistance (a great tag team by far).
i watch smackdown because of john cena, angle, lesnar, and the cruiserweight division. mysterio, kiddman, and the ultimo dragon are hella tight. i just wish they brought jushin liger and the great muta over as well to kick it up a notch. shelton benjamin and charlie haas are all killa damn they do stuff that you wont see other tag teams do. and of course chris benoit.
at this point, smackdown owns raw because raw is entertainment while smackdown is the sport.

ECW, OLD ECW kicked this new WWE's ass. I can't stand it anymore. If you want to watch Wrestling on TV you have to watch the WWE or you have to get the XWF PPVs and pay money for them.
I went to the last 2 ECW PPVs at the Hammerstine Ballroom in NYC, and I have been to WrestleMania10, a few houseshows, 3 and 4 rows at 2 different RAW shows, and still ECW was better.
The crowd was way more into the action. The matches were better. Everything kicked the WWE's ass it's not even funny.
Even when you have RVD wrestling in the WWE it's like watching a shitty WWE match. But when you see his old stuff in ECW it's a different story!
He flips into the crowd, uses a table, chairs, firebombs...the whole 9 yards.. not the same 3 moves.. over and over again.
The other thing I hate about WWE is that it's on ALL THE TIME! So when you see a PPV it's not special anymore. I remember you had to wait every other month to see the headline stars wrestle eachother.
Now the belts can change every week, and it's the same match with different rules on a PPV. wow! Worth my 50 dollars!
As much as I would love to go to WrestleManiaXX I don't want to because it's going to be the same thing as everything else on TV.
I wish they would go back to the old ways, and make it special again.

Get rid of the RAW/Smackdown roster
Give the wrestlers better roles
Let Vince Russo write the storylines
Change the Raw theme to the original theme
Give the wrestlers who were fired a second chance (Road Dogg, Grandmasta Sexy, and Jeff Jarret, Mark Henry and D'lo Brown)
Bring back more WCW and ECW wrestlers (Juvitude, Sting, Bret Hart, Disco Inferno, Super Crazy, Mike Awsome, the rest of team Canada, Scott Hall, and the Sandman)
They shouldn't limit themselves on their advertising
They also need to bring some guest stars to the show (Let a sports team or a movie star come to the show)
That's all I can think of for now.

There were a few times the WWE had the Undertaker play Kane when Jacobs wasn't able to make it to a particular show. Besides that though, Kane has always been played by Jacobs.
From what I can tell about his new gimmick, the writers are throwing the fact that he was supposed to be horribly burnt out the window. Gotta love these writers huh... annoyed

i agree the original raw theme was better.
ha all those wrestlers that you want a second chance all blow ass especially jeff jarret. though i wouldnt mind d-lo returning but after he busted droz with that running powerbomb there is no way he's coming back.
here's why they won't bring in the wrestlers that you've listed:
juventude-happy wrestling in mexico but i too like this guy to come in and have a stint
bret hart-after 97 screw job and wcw's buy out. he's finished
super crazy-same as juventude
mike awesome-wrestling in indy circuit
team canada-LMAO have of that team werent even from canada though the only canadian wrestlers are on raw (jericho, storm, and christian. DAMNIT QUIT LETTING DOWN STORM!! :mad: )
scott hall-became a drunken bum after having too many drinks at a UK PPV and slept throughout the whole event and he had a match to and just slept through it instead
sandamn-dont know where he is but i have a feeling he wouldnt want to wrestle in the WWE

who they should bring in:

brining in a celebrity can go big no no. i didnt like it when mike tyson came in during the DX days and look at wcw they putted in karl malone and dennis rodman not a good idea. shame shame
