IT is so hard now to find girls without tattoos here in Germany, I am all for the untattooed.
But I donīt care much if.
This is one of the things I actually do rant about in real life.
In short: No.
In detailed form: Hell no.
I realize I may be in the minority on this one, but I can't be swayed. My reasons are simple:
- 95% of the time they don't look good in context, and I don't like them when they do anyway
- it tells me that the person with the tattoo is rash and willing to do something without necessarily taking all the conesequences into account.
- if the person is that rash, well... then even for a one night stand I wonder if I'm going to get infected by some of her other "rash decisions"; some STD are with you for life, people
- If the person is willing to do something that permanent to themselves (and often ugly or not well chosen), then I can't fully trust them in a relationship.
- with that said, I can understand most piercings and henna stuff because it's fun and radical without being permanent. Permanent is just not thinking out your options.
- when this girl ages, her tattoo is going to look worse and worse (or, if its in the right place, getting pregnant will warp it too)
Harsh? Yeah, it is. That's my view and I stick to it. There are plenty of nice females with tattoos and I know and am friends with, but I'd never date one. Ever.

i'll have to disagree with the current majority opinion at the moment. I love women with tatoos, BUT tastefully. What "tastefully" means in the world of tatooing to me personally, is the type of tatoo, the size, and the placement of the tatoo. Obviously, a tatoo of the grim reaper of death the size of a dinner plate on a woman's cleavage isn't too appealing for me. But let's say, it's one of those abstract line art tatoos on the lower back that extends from one side of the waist to the other right about the ass, then that's something I consider tasteful.
Only if it was the neo geo logo.

Truth be told these stories are aimed at Men for Men, as escapism... but are a tough read as I describe things that would never be shown anywhere in any movie. All of the stories take place In the near future, with no set time ever mentioned, that's a bit more technological than our present, but not much more and a man who's literally a roving jack-of-all-trades loner (I'm inspired by violent westerns to boot) doing the jobs undesirable for both sides of the law. Whores and violence make up a huge chunk of that alternate reality no doubt. I'm having them published by a local company and starting small with the runs, so if you really are interested I'll let you know when it's printed and I'll sell you a copy personally. Just be warned it's not for the feight of heart. I've written these things to entertain but also to inform. I pull no punches and don't forsee the books ever being "Mega Popular" but then I don't want them to be... I'd just like to sell enough of them to be comfortable and then turn around and print some more. I would like to photograph Ms. Bella Donna among some others for the femme fatale's and fake downs in the books, some of them no doubt inspiried by these very women. I don't really have a set standard when it comes to something like this. First of all, I prefer women who don't "blemish" their natural beauty with a tattoo (or extreme piercings or boob jobs for that matter), but then I'm a hypocrite because I got a couple of tattoos myself (no piercings or boob job though tickled ). I've always tended to think of tattoos as a masculine or just generally male thing, and seeing a woman with them just added to a sort of "butch factor" to me. Generalizing sucks as I'm sure we can all agree, but it'll inevitably happen at least on a mental level. So maybe I'm guilty of generalizing, I don't know...
When I used to go to titty bars pretty regularly, I saw some women that "wore" their tattoos well. In some cases the tats enhanced their beauty. But then, in a titty bar, it's all visual anyway. You can admire a chick for an hour or so, go home, and never have to see her again if you don't want to. If you were married to a chick with a detailed tribal wrapped around her waist, and saw it everyday, the novelty of it would wear off real quick. And as pointed out, ageing and babies could warp this even further. Picture it, a chick with a phoenix tattooed on her tit now will look like an old woman with a ostrich on her saggy sack in good enough time.

Wow. I never thought people could be so judgmental over something like a tatoo. Passing such harsh judgment on somebady that likes to decorate their body diffrently then you is stupid. I am not defending tatoos cause i happent to have one because I can see some of the points in not having one. I mean if someone gets a downright retarded tatoo then that person probably isnt very smart. When I mean retarded I am talking mostly about prison type tats. Most of the tats that I happen to see show the persons belief in something or are just very artistic and interesting.
Also the members here that "hate" tatoos better not have earrings cause that would make you a hypocrite. And dont give me that crap about earrings arent permanent, tatoos can be removed this day and age too. Same goes with females with earrings. What makes one form of body mutilation better then the other?
What I am trying to say is dont judge somebody based on something as silly as how they choose to decorate their bodies. You might miss the chance of finding your soul mate :)

My first g/f has a tatoo on her lower back of a dolphin. My last g/f has a tatoo of a heart with a flame on her shoulder blade. I don't see anything wrong with a tatoo if it is tastefully done. I don't have any prefference though as to whether or not a girl I'm dating has one.

I look at all these people in their 30's and 40's in england who got tattoos done in the 80s and those tattoos look ugly and dated and sad as hell. Most elaborate fashions, where at one time people think something is great, end up looking stupid and dated 10 years down the line.
I won't turn down a girl for a tattoo, but I would not like to be treated with them for more then one night :)

Tattoos on other people can be really pretty, or just plain horrid. It all depends on the artist's skill and the planning... along with the creativity of the receiver. I'll be sure to post pics of my next tattoos once i come back from Houston. :)

That's not to say that I'm not tempted to get a purely sex relationship, but (A) as a trained sex ed instructor I'm hyper sensitive about catching things from loose women and (B) I would be embarrassed to have a girl with a tattoo as my long-term g/f or (god forbid) spouse. Even if I ended up married to one, that one part of her body would just bug me. I don't go to any of those hole in the wall places that offer coupons or discounts, and I make 100% sure that all the equipment is sterilized and never used on more than one person. Tattoo artists have to go through a rigorous process to get certified so they can provide a safe, clean environment for their clients.
The artwork is planned for months before I get it done, and I don't get anything that I consider "regrettable". I don't regret my present tattoos in the slightest, and I won't regret the ones I'm getting in the future.
I'm a female with tattoos, and while I'm not asking you to trust me or any other tattooed women, I will ask to go into any high-class tattoo parlor and watch the procedure. You'll see how clean the whole process really is.
Plus, tattoos have been part of the world's culture for thousands of years, so I doubt the trend will end any time soon. smirk

I can just relate to how she might feel, being a minority in an opinion or whatever and seeing the majority of a forum she likes talk the other way. I'm sure you've picked up on my Christian beliefs in some of my posts, and sometimes it feels odd sitting quietly and watching people talk about said beliefs in a non-chalant and sometimes borderline disrespectful way. I'm just giving her an open door to even up the odds a bit, that's all. :)
