GTA: Vice City is invincible!!!....well not really

Well for all you out there saying GTA: Vice City is the best, here's a little bit of the review from IGN:

"Yet, the targeting system is still light years from being perfected, and you'll find yourself dying quickly in a jam because the toggle system is still clumsy and the character doesn't move that fast or smoothly on the ground, and because the reticule sticks to dead bodies, instead of automatically switching to a live one. Games such as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Devil May Cry-, among others, are far more advanced when it comes to swift and efficient combat control."

Hmmm, but I thought GTA:VC was invincible!!! It can never die!!!! Well it will and sooner then you think. Have fun all you guys. Ohhh hurry jump on the bandwagon, it might leave without you!! Well to be very honest with you, I thought that the whole concept of Grand Theft Auto was just stupid. Most of the "Mature" rated games are quite moronic and mindless...

On the flipside, I already heard that EGM Magazine gave Vice City a perfect score based on what they played or saw... I guess it all depends on what you're into. To each his own... I know that I won't be getting one.

One thing I'll say about this review: At least there's one voice of dissent. There seems to be too much homogenization of the video game media. Anybody remember the XBox articles that read like press releases?

As for whether I get it... maybe if an N64 version of it comes out. ;)

(Just watch, tomorrow Rockstar is probably gonna announce an N64 version of Vice City just to spite me -_-)

I would be more impressed if Rockstar port GTA 3 to NeoGeo.

Yes, there is a sizable percentage who will do nothing but dig up codes for it, get all the cool cars and weapons, and just spend hours blowing shit up. There's also another group of fans who simply enjoy the endless freedom this title provides, along with what seems to be a really impressive 80's soundtrack and overall very high production values. There's far worse things in this world to get worked up over than a lot of people going out to buy a game you don't like.

Ya know, I find MGS2 to be a tired-ass sequel, with the same gameplay as MGS1 and a much shittier story with the worst new hero in maybe any action game ever. But that's my opinion, and I don't go starting a gay-ass thread over it because I have better things to do, dumbfuck.

I just PLAYED the game today (Yes, I one of those bad sellouts that have fall for mainstream... *cough*MGS2*cough*) and I have found myself to be just amazed by what you're able to do in it. It's way over GTA 3 by any standard and while the 1337 pack is shitting on this game, I'm better sitting in one of the car listening to the soundtrack a lot.

Well, at least I know that with Vice City, I won't become a fag character in about 1 hour :D

For the record the Pokemon games are pretty fun..it's only the horrible over merchandising that ruined the franchise.

And I also bought and plan to enjoy GTA:VC thank you very much.

Just like I went to see Jackass the Movie I can likewise appreciate a game for a mindless good time.

Can you believe that the person who is trashing Vice City for it's hype is a fan of MGS2, the BIGGEST hyped game ever which fail to delivered by covering up a lame ass character, over 70% of cut scenes and gameplay... well MGS is the same. O, O, O, I want to take a swing!!!! MGS2 Suckd major ass in so many ways I can't even count. THe more I play that game the more it sucks. The plot is the worst part. Second worst is that I was looking for a game not an interactive movie. If I wanted an Interactive movie I would have bought one. I am not saying that the game play was bad, it was just really weak. I am hoping that Substance (you know the half sequal for MGS) will turn what was a increadbly weak game with alot of potential into a good game that leaves MGS2 in the dust and in the hands of all you suckors who bought it on release (O wait that was me too :( well at least I flamed my self). I'm sure Hideo Kojima would agree with you. There's a reason Metal Gear Solid 2: Suns of Liberty was released in the US first. It's because the Japanese don't like the Metal Gear series that much. It's actually a very American style game as well, a polygonal reinterperetation of the FMV games Hollywood fed us in the early to mid-nineties. Also gaming was invented in the US.

Japan does NOTHING interms of PC games. They couldn't make a FPS or RTS if their lives depended on it. The US SUCKS in those reguards (although less so when it comes to platformers). But when it comes to the PC we OWN J00!

Japan does NOTHING interms of PC games. They couldn't make a FPS or RTS if their lives depended on it. I'll gladly give you the fact that the Japanese make some of the best platformers, fighting games, and "console style" RPG's out there. The US SUCKS in those reguards (although less so when it comes to platformers). But when it comes to the PC we OWN J00!
