Neo-Geo.com Christmas Video Game Exchange

Might sound corny, but who (whom is deemed "trustworthy") might be interested in doing a Christmas video game exchange this season?

It can be a game you buy for the person or a game you already have in your collection you would be willing to trade with someone for his game.

Just thought I throw this out there and maybe we can get a list of possible participants/games people want, or whatever, and see from there. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing flops, but that's alright... just checking if anyone might be interested in doing a Christmas exchange thing.

You know, that's a really good idea. A 3 way trade could really make it easier for people to get a hold of what they are looking for.

If people are interested, you may want to make separate threads for CD, AES, and MVS.

I'm not in the market currently, but I support your idea.

I'd do it.

I think we need to simply stick to PS2/GC/Xbox though. The game should also be worth $50 and be on a list provided by the person receiving the gift.

This way you don't have to worry about giving a $50 title and getting a $20 title, getting a game you already own, and there will be an element of suprise in what title will arrive.

For safety's sake, I suggest that we come up with a safe system for the exchange. Perhaps post count here? Or maybe pictures of the gift should be sent to a central agent with the user's name written on a piece of paper next to it.

I agree with Wolf! PS2/Xbox/GC/50$ games are a great, and easy way to do things to keep it simple.

Maybe the rules should be: A 50$ game at least; and if you're a kind person, something extra :) If not, thats fine. I think thats a bit more "spirited", otherwise its just a roundabout way of purchasing a game :p

Neo-related would be great; but i think it'd make things too complicated, what with conditions of games, etc.

Regardless, maybe we should start making the list and signing up with what systems out of the next-gen's we own? And games we own, for that matter, or,

games we want :)

It's a gift, really. I don't think you should bitch about a gift unless it's just in horrible condition, which I think most members that would participate in this sort of thing wouldn't even send. There are tons of $50 MVS and homecarts too

I am all about this, I have been a bit tied up lately but most of you should know me (dear god unless I was that transparent) I would be more than willing to go for some X-Box or PS2 stuff :D . I would perfer to do it secret santa style, where one mastermind pairs up people. Like I email you with what I am willing to give (e.g. and Xbox game) and tell you what I have (Xbox PS2 DC) and then you take my example and pair me up with a person with an Xbox. . .
Well as long as it is orginised and there are pretty strict rules :D I am willing to give, but honestly I don't feel like getting gypt bad. If I was just giving that is one thing, but if I am expecting to receive and dont, well. . .

i think people should be able to list anything, as long as it doesnt go over say, $60. since they are making a list, they cant get screwed, since thats what they said.

hell, they could even list a real expensive game, and if their secret santa wants to get it, go for it.

so if anyone asks me for dracula x for duo, dont be surprised if you get it...j/k :)

If you guys want, you can do a "surprise" gift type of exchange, but me personally, I'm gonna list games that I want, and then list what I can trade/exchange.

-Strikers 1945 Part II

Games I can give up this holiday season: US Dragon Force (disc only), US Christmas NiGHTS (disc only, just in time for the Christmas season), Hi-Octane, Off-World Interceptor Extreme (how's that for anti-climatic!)

I can send Hi-Octane or OWIE to anyone who may want to swap back a "cheapie" title as well.

If interested in anything I listed and you got the goods to back it up, let me know via PM. :)

For everyone else, after buying Radiant Silvergun, I don't think I'll have much this holiday season except enough funds for shipping fees. So the only games I can offer are ones I own -- ones either I no longer play or/and willing to part with, for the right exchange.

That's how I'm approaching this, if you want to go the X-Box/PS2/GC only route, that's alright with me.

Basically, just have fun and don't make it too complicated on ourselves. :)

Also remember to be careful who you deal with... nothing would be worst than someone getting ripped off on this "friendly exchange."

Liquid, radiohead, there are no "official rules." The PS2/XBox/GC comment was just a suggestion from our buddy Wolf.

As far as I'm concerned, it should be free and open to any system.

I think surprise gifts might be fun, but more "dangerous." It's probably best and most wise to announce what you would be sending, and have both parties confirm that that is what the exchange is.
