Ah shit here we go. Looks like nothing of interest today but that'll change quickly i'm sure.
So much traffic, I keep getting error messages when trying to view the main page.
I grabbed Bastion for $3, Borderlands 2 for $10, and Torchlight 2 for $10. Not too bad.
My comp sucks so bad to run half of these games :(
Dark Souls on sale for 7,49€, eurofags.
Don't forget amazon has some amazing deals right now as well as an additional 1 time use code for an additional 15% off

Steam: DjMcfilthy :buttrock:
I picked up Skyrim Legendary Ed., and I think I'm going to grab Fez; looks really interesting.
Not too impressed, tbh. Pid looks interesting but that's about it.
I haven't been on Steam in a few months. I login yesterday and see: Trading Cards! Foil Trading Cards!
Really? Now we have DLC for the store? Not DLC for a game - this is DLC for the store.
Fascinating.
You do not buy cards. The cards were actually an idea developed by Steam users, and they petitioned for them to make it happen. 1 year later, it happened.
They are kinda like acheivements, but you can also collect and trade. People collect and trade gifted games, so this is kinda built on that.
Today,
FTL
Fez
Walking Dead
Civ V
i am going to regret the money I have and will spend on this sale.
I won't be buying Borderlands 2 and Sleeping Dogs, though. I hate the business model.
Look at Sleeping Dogs. As I write, it's $6.24 as part of a %75 off "flash sale."
But if you want the full experience (at least psychologically) you gotta get the DLC. The DLC pack is 27.49 and at a lower discount than the game itself, %50 off.
The fuck.
Borderlands 2 is a great, fine game without the DLC.
Borderlands 2 was $10, and the season pass was $10. I will admit I groaned at the character select screen when I realized I had to pay extra for the Mechromancer and Psycho, but they were something like $3 a piece. So Borderlands 2, with both new characters and season pass for all the other shit was a little over $25. That's not bad at all.
The deals have been even better this year. My bank account is going to hate me. I've already bought a bunch of stuff for my account and my little brother's account.
I haven't seen anything particularly great on the main page yet, but it is about time I picked up antichamber as I don't think I have seen it on sale below 50% off until now.
If you need a hidden gem, Wizorb
Magical Drop V , $1.24
dude
Attachment 5323
Some cheap hidden gems.
Noitu Love 2: Devolution $1.49
Critter Crunch $1.46
I don't think I'm going to end up buying any thing in this sale. August is going to be a busy month for me with a bunch of day 1 games.
PC:
Spelunky HD
Pinball Arcade (all of it)
Castlevania Lords of Shadow
Metal Gear Rising
PS3:
Dragons Crown
Some good calls on indie games. If anybody has anymore, post them up. Grabbed Wizorb, Magical Drop V, Wanderlust, Hotline Miami, and Noitu Love 2 Devolution.
Hotline Miami is so good
i'm only grabbing super cheap indie stuff
couple of other games holding my attention and i don't need to go buy a ton of shit (did that last year...)
Fucking Steam cards keep tricking me and getting my hopes up. I saw Tomb Raider for 12.50 and was about to pull the trigger till I saw that damn card logo.
Why Valve?
I haven't really found much of interest.
Although I prefer GOG anyway, and bought a crap-ton of stuff from them already during their own big-ass summer sale.
They were new to me too. I saw them in my inventory, and for shits I decided to see what they sold for previously, and then I went on to gaming. What in the world are you doing that you feel like you're "metagaming the Steam store" more than playing the actual games? The cards mean nothing. You have no legitimate complaint.
But why invest time playing a game you wouldn't bother with otherwise only to get cards, isn't it just an achievement system. What is the benefit.
Does your Steam level matter to you? If so, you should love all the collecting and combining that's required to raise your Steam level.
If your Steam level doesn't matter to you, then you just ignore the cards in your inventory, and play the games like you normally would, before you knew they even existed.
What exactly are you complaining about, again?
I dont think you were complaining either. He might have misinterpreted internet talk. Early posts in this thread were clearly confused about the card system.
Anyhoo. Deadlight is community choice for 6 more hours. Highly recommend this one.
Deadlight is pretty good
played through that one on the 360
I'm dying so much in Hotline Miami. Is it that hard or do I just suck that much?
Hotline Miami is hard as fuck
serious old school type gaming hard
it's hard to describe how to play but you kind of have to "feel" each level out
experiment with what works and what doesn't for each segment of a level (break down levels by sections and it becomes easier) and play it the same way each time
play around with the Masks too; certain ones work better with certain levels
there's a few levels in there that i must played close to a hundred times before i succeeded
http://www.roguelegacy.com/
anyone played that?
looks pretty awesome
definitely going to grab it if/when it goes on sale
i watched the trailer it was pretty cool looking
definitely going to keep an eye on it
i've been playing Wizorb a lot so far
always been a big fan of Breakout so i'm enjoying this a great deal
Shatter is also worth checking out if you're into breakout. Only a $1.99.
Check out Dungeons of Dredmor if you're into roguelikes. I'd highly recommend grabbing the complete edition for $2.49. Don't forget to download the free dlc as well.
I have a copy of Terraria I can gift. Anyone want to make a trade for another Indy title?
Today I bought:
Terraria (4 pack)
Dungeons of Dredmor
Reus
Bought Torchlight 2 a couple days ago.
I watched some videos of Reus. At $5 I figured I couldn't go wrong.
Dishonored is fun. Played it on the 360. End of the game was quite anti-climactic. A cool new IP with a lot of cool idea. For me it was just missing something that I haven't quited put my finger on yet.
Ffffff....Legend of Grimrock was on sale for $5.
Missed that last year but only heard fantastic things.
I should have enough games to play for QUITE some time, especially with Dragon's Crown coming out so soon.
