You'll be treated like a prince.
The yuppie couple's kids next door to my parents live in China - they live like Kings.
Congrats!
Dang, quite the move. Congrats man!
One of my bros teaches in Shanghai, you'd probably get along great with him
Awesome news man! What kind of job is it?
Teaching kids......
....how to skin dogs as inhumanely as possible...
hahaha j/k
Srsly though, Congrats: glad to hear some good news out of you...that other crap about the hobo moving in depressed the shit out of me.
China should be pretty awesome and although there probably aren't enough to go around, my buddy tells me the women are much better than the crap he usually drags home in Toronto.
Congrats. Whatever you do, don't run over a 2 year old girl in the street.
Sage in China...I imagine I'll be reading about you on the BBC in a few months time
You bastard! I just got over the horror of that video! Now I have to drive to Rite Aid for some Jack Daniels and sleeping pills.
Anyways, I had a friend that moved to China to teach English. I don't know what your teaching but he made it sound like an incredible experience. Good luck brother...and yeah don't run over two year olds T_T
Congrats on the job and the move :buttrock:
Wow, 'sage, had no idea you had applied --you're going to have, at the very least, a very mind-opening experience. Life in China is different, but I think you're going to enjoy this.
[Kiel: he's far from Shanghai, closer to Beijing]
Can I be the bum in your basement there?
hit up a 3 story KFC while you're there sage :lolz:
Expat living!
I was offered a permanent full-time job in both Qatar and Kuwait, but the wife just wasn't on board.
Do some traveling while you are over there. I don't know about East Asia, but from the Middle East you could fly nearly anywhere in Europe and Central Asia for cheap.
My round-trip ticket from Kuwait City to Dubai was $110.
Congrats Sage! I'm sure you'll learn alot from this kind of experience.
lol going from Lynchburg VA to China, that's going to be a hell of a culture shock.
Congradruration!!!!
Be sure to bring back lots of boots and custom systems with Osama bin laden on the sides!!
so the job is teaching? if i may ask what does that sort of job pay?
Man i enjoyed China the little time i spent there, kind of envious . Are you tall? cause let me tell you good times being tall non Asian in china im 6'5 it was great.
Yeah, you have a lot of fun prep to do before you go :D
Congrats!
Good luck getting decent Mexican food. There is not one enchilada worth a dang in the entire country.
This will all end in tears, mark my words.
Congrats yo
Good job, mang. Congrats.
Don't forget where you came from while you're rollin' mandarin style.
Srsly, just don't embarrass us to our Asian overlords.
Chickity China the Chinese chicken. You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'.
That's all I've got to contribute to this thread. ^_^
seriously?
http://factsanddetails.com/china.php...10&subcatid=66Quote:
In Tangshan, a large industrial, coastal city 125 miles east of Beijing, people can tell which way the wind is blowing by what color the smog is. Grayish color smog comes from iron deposits blown from steel mills to the south; whitish smog comes from chemical factories to the east; and black dust comes from the coal and coking plant to the west. Tangshan itself is home to many dirty factories and plants such as Beijing Coking-Chemical Plant and Capital Iron and Steel, both of which were relocated to Tangshan from Beijing to reduce pollution there.
bet I couldnīt live there, air pollution is out of control in china and I have chronic breathing problems.
Gratz bro...good luck!
Wow congratulations man!
Going to China is one of the best decisions a guy can take these days. It's fucking happening there, the country is amazing, the people great fun, girls beautiful, great food, energetic atmosphere, etc.
Enjoy man. And learn mandarin.
Why do I have an ominous feeling that Sage unwittingly sold himself to some Chinese businessman as a sex slave?
A couple of my friends moved to China two years ago. She's an architect over there, and her boyfriend is playing entrepreneur/business man. I say playing, because he went over there with no job, but is the type of person who can definitely make things happen. The two of them are loving it there. They don't make a lot of money, even with the both of them working, by our standards, but it is enough over there to live a very comfortable life. Just make sure you tuck away a little bit of cash for if/when the time comes that you want to bail and move back to the US or Europe. Other than that, you'll probably have an absolute ball and live like the white devil you are.
Hats off to you, Sage.
Congratulations, man. Take lots of pictures and get drunk while you're there. I want to hear some awesome stories from you.
seriously awesome.
but i can't help but wish the title said "i just nailed an interviewer, so i'm moving to china."
Couldn't do with no T & A over there, but godspeed nonetheless.
Congrats LoneSage.....I mean 景东
I will be teaching in Fuxin, China from mid Febuary to late May. It's not very far from where you will be Lonesage. When will you be going?
You're going to land up in a government ran torture shack in Beijing.
Keep your sack shaved, that way it won't stink when they get the volts going full throtle.
