I thought this was a thread for the movie.
I thought it was a remembrance day thread.
I always find these topics a badge of stupidity, since time is relative, and the decision to "start" time, 2011 years, 11 months and 11 days ago, by why? some Christian scribes? Well, it's quite meaningless.
I also like sameness and symmetrical things, no matter that what you posted in the above quote is true.
I'm not assigning too much importance to today, but it is what it is.
Also I like when it is 11:11 am/pm, always have.
4 of the same number on the digital clock.
Very satisfying.
I prefer writing dates internationally... so for me, Nov 20th is cooler... 20/11/2011 OMG
It's even more fun when you realize the armistice came into effect at 11am.
The Aussies have published their move:

I'll give it to you this time, since it's the first one and all.
...But you better not post this thread on the next 11/11/11!!
I thought this was for that new p.o.s. verizon "RAZR" phone that's released 11/11/11 @ 11:11AM
f that phone anyway. I'm taking my birthday money from yesterday and getting the HTC Rezound on Monday. Beats By Dre? õ_Ô
w0rd
Beats by Dre are the most overrated pieces of crap ever.
So where were you at 11:11 on 11/11/11?
IMMORTALS
bah, 9/9/99 was cooler
In the Netherlands there is some pre-carnaval party every year on the 11th of the 11th.
Something with 11 being a fools/silly/crazy mans number. Thank god that idiocy only takes place in the south part of the country
am - sitting with our regional manager in an underhanded attempt to set the ball rolling on him firing the current project manager and giving me his spot.
pm - probably feeling guilty that the project manager has been cool as hell to me, yet I'm trying to steal his 6-digit salary job.
Wasn't born 900 years ago, and probably won't be alive 9100 years into the future. So it's only relevant to computers that can't count over 99.
In Korea it's Millenium Pepero Day.
i ran an 11K marathon for the vets, did i miss the military references? or is everyone just going about the numbers?
I snapped this photo at 11:11am:

Same here, 11/11 is the official start of the carnival season over here, namely in Cologne and Mainz. It comes from the "Elferrat", a council of 11 fools who symbolically take over the key of the city they live in from the mayor from 11/11 to Ash Wednesday in February. The fool's reign.
I kinda like carnival to be honest but not before January. November and December belongs to Christmas and, more importantly, Oud end Nieuw, my favorite holiday as a fireworks freak. :)
