here's the story.
so the cashier questioned a $50 bill given to him. the customers went nuts. hopped the counter. yeah maybe he went overboard, but im calling heat of the moment here.
naturally since he was on parole, he is back in jail but i sure hope those ladies get brought up on charges. i also hope that when they try to sue mcdonalds (and im sure they will), that the judge laughs at them and throws the case out.

Looks like the lady is lucky she isn't manslaughter victim #2.

Once the argument had escalated to the point the customer had hit the cashier, and then jumped the counter while continuing to provoke him, it was over. The females are charged with menacing and disorderly conduct. Bullshit, that was assault. I don't really understand why people want to walk the walk, pretend to be hard, then cry when they get their ass collectively handed to them. You get what you ask for. He brought it. Honestly, the video is pretty graphic, and the cashier is a cold-blooded killer. You can see it. He had no remorse and went in to finish them off long after they were down, but he was provoked. I'd side with him any day of the week. The only problem is, these two "ladies" survived. $50 fake bucks says they'll be even more "hard" in the future.

If someone is being threatened with a gun or has reasonable reason to think they're being threatened with a weapon that could case serious or fatal injury they'll have a good defense. The only issue is, as Bobak stated, did the McDonalds employee use an unnecessary amount of force. I see no issue with using the metal rod for self defense - a two on one fight, with the one against the two persons willing to slap him and then jump the counter over the legitimacy of a $50 bill are probably some crazy bastards in the first place.
Where is the assault/battery charge on the woman who slapped him? You don't get to use that kind of force on another person and not get arrested.

The criminal complaint against the guy (view it here) is by design one-sided, and no doubt his defense will bring up what the women did, but the problem is the complaint notes "defendent continues to swing the metal rod in the direction of said individual when the individual is down on the ground".
