If you're going to say SC>Tekken, at least use the first one as an example. SC2 is better than Tekken 1,2 and 4 I suppose, but thats not really saying a lot. And when it comes to button mashing spazzes, I've seen a lot more of them playing SC.
I do like the SC series though.
I didn't like the first TTT. I always felt it should have been a game mode rather than a standalone game.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Block buttons allow for a more reliable defense and allow for a few extra gameplay opportunities like buffering moves for example. When you hold down a block button it frees up the joystick to allow moves to come out immediately after you release it to retaliate faster. They really need to use the "punk-ass Jin" design (with the hooded sweatshirt) more often, if only to dissipate how his and Kazuya's character designs look so much alike. If I knew nothing about Tekken and the story behind it, I'd see this trailer and go "What?! Is this guy versus an evil version of himself?!"

I tried getting into VF but it could never hold my interest. I brought VF4: Evolution when it was released to give the series a shot. I decided to use Goh as my main and hit up training. I grew bored with it after a few weeks. I grew to dislike how bland the characters and the stages were. The one character career was very unappealing to me and none of my friends liked the series. I eventually traded it for Guilty Gear.
I tried to get back in with VF5 but it still couldn't get into it. Guess me and VF ain't meant to be.
You guys are all right. It's hard to get into a series when no one around you wants to play. I was lucky cuz my crew of friends will play anything that's a fighting game. But if I were you guys I'd definitely give the latest one a try. I'm sure you'll like this one much more than the last.

I'll have to pick up T6 now, glad it's cheaper. Played it in the arcades a couple of times and liked it. I'll admit I got T5 just so I could play an arcade perfect port of T3 and Starblade. Tag was alright, didn't really get into it. The people that played it at the arcades I visited were very good so I didn't get that much playtime on it. I'm glad I pretty much use Bryan, because he's almost guaranteed to be the game. When it comes to secondary characters, I really don't have one, maybe that one guy they added in 5, but I usually stick to Bryan.
I know enough to know that VF is a far more satisfying experience than Tekken. I've only play VF2, 4 and 5 for any meaningful period of time.Quote:

I'm a fighting game fan, but I have never understood Tekken. I had a namco machine with TTT in it for the longest time. I really tried to get into it, but I figure if i'm going to play a fighting game, it's not going to be tekken.
However, I can say that TTT2 looks amazing. I am definitely willing to give the new game a shot.
