Just looking for ideas. I'm pretty tired of gaming and am looking for new shit to do.
Less than I used to have.
Internet, Pinball (Which is basically a different form of gaming), people watching, movies, non-fiction, documentaries.
Programming, making PoC games, trying to hardware hack games.
Oh, wait, that's all gaming.
Unicycling.
I have a small group of friends that I play Magic: The Gathering, HeroClix, and Dungeons & Dragons for our "non-video" game fix.
Outside of that, I read and collect comics, rent and go the movies often, go to a lot of concerts, and just hang out and do stupid shit with friends.
My main hobby right now is Candy Cabs/Cave Shooters
Other than that... trucks and tools...
Why not try RC cars or something like that?
Improv.
Just another thing to try if you wanna suck at something for a couple years. Good way to meet people, at least.
Also make videos about my schlong.
Bat fighting. It's a game of honor and diplomacy.
Cooking, UFO catcher machines, writing, photography, vinyl records, Palestine, writing webpages, pinball (but physical machines are kinda rare to find in the wild now).
BMX Outriding/Racing, Tactical Combat Shooting, Cowboy Action Shooting, having sex (well... retraining the wife back to her old self ---this is proving to be a chore thanks to fucking Jake being a damned cock block, but at least "the freak" is starting to reemerge. Cause I'm done being "understanding" like I have been. I need SEX every night in some form to keep world peace.)... uhh... jerking off ... penetrating THIS (and it does "feel" damn good too. Much better than those crappy $120.00USD molds of Belladonna... best $330 I ever spent. Much better than having spent that for an Xbox 360) while I continue my way towards a Real Doll (almost got the full amount) for the times the wife just is too tired, or whatever. It's not like an RD could ever replace her anyhow. It'll get used for it's rightful purpose when "the best" just isn't possible. But I gotta' fuck. As of late I've been losing my mind on the nights there's no action at all. Don't always feel like pulling out the mold either. And I'm just not jerking off anymore, fuck that. PENETRATION. :tickled:
AND... uhh...
Oh yeah... Knife Throwing (SRSLY)
and...
leather stamping for belts and stuff.
All that comes to mind.
Knife throwing, leather stamping and sex toys......
Are you a LARPer?
Mostly just music and home video/theater stuff with a concert sprinkled here and there.
Road trips, Internet, college football, fairs and carnivals, research, gardening, arranging music for marching bands, dining out at different ethnic restaurants w/dates, and go to baseball games (mainly MLB, e.g. Marlins).
Playing and repairing pinball tables. Troubleshooting machinery, electrical systems, installing.
Actually I'd never heard the term before (and if I did, I honestly don't remember it). I do help out my friend of 15 years with his military re-enactment stuff from time to time at Air Shows and stuff like that. So I guess that's LARPING. I dunno what my enjoying a high end "affordable" sex mold of an exquisite vag & tight asshole has to do with LARPING though? :tickled:
Personally I hate having to use one (the mold) but using the hand is so 1980s. Not happening. When I have the RD which will be as close to a certain pron starlet fave of mine in the looks department as possible, in which to jack hammer, and all manner of things when I HAVE TO HAVE IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE... maybe then we could say LARPING. As it'll be me boning the silicone clone of a real person.
:D
Thus I guess outside of the other things mentioned. SEX itself is a hobby. And really, I can't see how more dudes wouldn't rather have sex, or be doing sexual things with a chick, an RD, etcetera... rather than playing games or anything else really. I personally could walk around all day in only boxer briefs just recuperating until "The next bout" for Love Games. Kind of hard to do with two kids around though. Which I guess is what had induced my recent mental breakdown, and finding my way back to Lords of Acid, and other stuff from my past.
Heck right there. Nostalgic Manifestation Vision Quests (NMVQ) can be a hobby too.
Film
Firearms, reading, internet, board games.
My interest in video games have destroyed my interest in music and any other hobby I've had. It's awful.
A hobby is meant to be for enjoyment, if you try and force it you'll burn out. I burned out on console stuff around the DC's demise. I very seldom play console games these days let alone finish one.
As long as games aren't affecting affecting personal stuff there is nothing to ashamed of. Enjoy them while you can, you may find your tastes change in a few years and music or something else will become prevalent.
There is no shame. Amazingly, no signs of burn out yet. My personal life isn't too shabby either. I just can't delve into other hobbies anymore like I can with games. Some of the things I once loved just seem lack-luster compared to video games.
And I'm certainly not a fickle person.
Tea, hiking, and a bit of singing are the only real hobbies I have outside of gaming. I would love to improve my cooking and electronics skills someday, though.
I collect obscure electronic music albums, movies, and go to comedy clubs on a regular basis (when I'm not swamped with work).
I'd recommend doing something physical, if possible.
Hiking
Biking
Long walks
Canoe
Fishing
If you really want to push it:
Wrreck diving/S.C.U.B.A.
Mountain climbing (my friend just did this, he loved it)
Parachuting
Maybe just doing something physical for a while will get you to appreciate sitting around on your duff gaming.
Read.
Get into a historical period. Really geek out about it. History is fascinating. I have huge interest in WW II, that whole time in human history. It's really pretty fucked up and amazing.
Visit a museum or a zoo.
Build a model of a Mobile Suit. Or if robots aren't your thing, do a tank or a plane.
Learn to play an instrument.
Photography, Graphic Design.
Hoping to make one of these my career. Preferably photography.

2: Seriously though, you can find my hobbies in the other 2 threads also but they are smoking weed, slotracing and roadtrips.

ps: I still need to make a video. I think Lagduf requested that back then but I forgot.
Music i.e djing, playing the piano, collecting records/cratedigging, I've thought of getting into the whole audiophilia thing but I have limited funds
Games, as in pen and paper rpg's, warhammer, mahjong, bridge, chess
Outdoor activities, hiking, long walks, sailing
Sports, tennis and swimming
Painting, drawing, modeling, mostly warhammer and wwII stuff
All kinds of stuff, we used to organize raves with a couple mates, etc...
basketball, soccer, and bodybuilding.
Ive trained in Wing Chun for about 2 years, I also go camping, hiking & do abit mountaineering about 2 months a year(on my own), got boring mates who dont like cold weather:crying:
Music, movies, science, working out, fishing, a bit of cooking...but gaming is definately my biggest hobby.
Exercising, exercise physiology, nutritional studies, martial arts and knitting.
Basketball (unfortunately just watching), film and anime :annoyed:
There are 2 main slotrace brands that I can recommend: Ninco(personally I think they are the best, nice wide track and lots of accesories like rims and tires. I even have a working pitlane)
SCX/Scalextric, they have been around longer than Ninco but if you have to start I'd go for Ninco. Better balanced cars also, we take out the magnets and tune them with lead as weight for some nice realistic feel of driving. With a magnet there is no fun of drifting and goes too fast to be fun.
Other than games, mostly music stuff. I started playing guitar a few years ago. I don't get to play as much as I used to, but I still try to get in some time each week. Music is a great hobby to get into, very relaxing and always something new to do/learn. Once I get comfortable enough w/ guitar, I'd like to move onto piano as well...but probably won't happen for some time.
Other than that, I guess you could consider going to the gym as well. Though my membership expired awhile ago and I haven't been since. Now it's mostly going out for walks/jogs with my wife, but I would like to get back into a gym environment soon.
As far as hobbies I am interested in getting into - if I had more $$$ and more space, I would seriously consider getting back into legos :)
Hung Gar, shooting pool, gambling (cards, dice, pool, etc.).
Hey guys, I signed up for an account a few days ago but i still can not start new threads. I dont think my account has been activated or something. How long does it usually take? I just got a new mvs cab and would not mind posting it up.
nevermind, I see now, and yes im a stupid noob.
I want to start checking out ren fests.
there's a lot of them here in texas.
One of the refs that I help officiate games for with derby
used to do the whole dress up as a knight and fight other knights.
I don't see myself doing that.
But you know.
I could always go for some beer and a turkey leg.
my hobbies are film photography, flat track rollerderby (I take penalties as
part of the stats team and work with production setting up),
and live music.
I play music too, but it's more to unwind and have a good time.
At the moment just bodybuilding. At one stage I was doing 2 different martial arts and salsa dancing as well. Had to give them up as they were too costly and my career was getting in the way of classes.
Lately I've really gotten into violating Indian girls tied to cacti while wearing a blue cowboy hat and pink scarf and nothing else (while under fire from archers).
