No idea what it's like, but everytime I hear a new MegaMan is announced I can't help but squeal in delight! :D And the fact that they threw in the US MegaMan cover version at the end is fantastic.
Is this Ono's big announcement?
The video isn't showing much at all...do I get to play as the kid, or the Ryu love doll, or 8-bit megaman? OR all three are selectable. :loco:
Fantastic trailer.
Didn't anyone else notice Arthur as well?
I really, really liked the appearance of the "U.S. Cover Art MegaMan" that made the entire video.
Fun trailer. Can't wait to hear about how it plays. Me thinks rather then having Robot Masters you gain powers of other Capcom characters? It's got me interested.
ARTHUR.
I'm down. :buttrock:
I was sold on new Megaman. The crossover stuff is icing on the cake
haha the end of that video was great.
Hopefully Megaman gets to fight those characters for the power ups just like with the robo bosses, and not like the hadoken/shoryuken one hit death stuff that you find as secrets.
I take it the trailer is for North America, since that's the North American Mega Man cover?
DLC only :(
Will wait to see what they whip out. In the meantime I'll just wait for MMZero collection to drop down in price for my MM fix.
This has so many interesting possibilities... the levels are each based on other Capcom characters and when you beat their boss, you get one of the characters powers; there are a bunch of selectable Capcom characters including the fucked up gun-toting Mega Man playing through Mega Man levels; just another Mega Man ga,e except he has a crapload of Capcom powers available, it could be a bunch of things, all great for the fans.
Yes, it came out a few months ago. Capcom was advertising it for a while on their site. Didn't really read many reviews of how the porting of it went. But it's all of the MMZ games on one DS cart. Hopefully it doesn't become hard to find, I'd like to get it this Christmas since I've never played a game in the Zero series before.
OK, but keep in mind unless you were playing games in NA at the time, you're not going to be in on the joke.
Unlike the unlockable hadoken, shoryuken, and psycho crusher (I know that isn't what they called it, but that's what it was) in the X series.
I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of SRK posters jizzed their pants and were suddenly silenced. (and rather sticky...)

AMERICAN Megaman, playable...HOLY SHIT. I WANT IT NOW!

So, the really bad MegaMan, right?
12 packs of Marlboros a day voice, right?
Just posting the article in the link

The creator of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, and producer on the recently announced Mega Man Universe, Akiko Ito, explained—as best as they could—just what the hell this mysterious game is today at Comic-Con.
Previously seen only in teaser trailer form, Mega Man Universe will let you "play as the Mega Man of your dreams," according to Inafune.
The concept of Mega Man Universe, Inafune says, "came from the idea of what Mega Man is and what it means to [different people]." Whether you started playing the series when Mega Man 2 was released or whether you start with the Mega Man X series, Inafune says "Everyone has a unique idea of what Mega Man is."
That may help explain guest appearances from other Capcom games, including Street Fighter's Ryu and Ghosts 'n' Goblins hero Arthur. Other versions of Mega Man will be featured in the game, including that "crappy version of Mega Man from the original cartridge," a character featured in the teaser trailer.
Inafune hopes that the ability to play as different characters outside of the Mega Man mythos will encourage creativity in players and that Universe will "unite Mega Man fans from around the planet to play together in one place." While Capcom didn't show any gameplay during the panel, Inafune said they're working hard to have something to show soon.
The Father of Mega Man ended his Comic-Con presentation with another tease, claiming "You haven't heard the last of the Mega Man announcements out there." Inafune said to expect confirmation of an "oft-requested thing that you guys want."
When fans began shouting for Mega Man Legends 3, Inafune just smiled and said "Thank you."
Mega Man Universe "won't be out for a while," according to Ito, but when it does arrive, it will come to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
You know, the Danesque boxart Megaman really would kick Captain N's Megaman's ass. He was completely useless.
I'm thinking of how great it would be to play a fully powered up X in original 8 bit Megaman's stages. And X could actually kill Dr. Wily, although he would feel really bad and mope like a pussy afterwards.
I hope this game be's like some kind of Megaman Power Fighters but just with other characters in the Capcom universe that'd be pretty cool.
I was a little disappointed they put his helmet on straight (megaman 1).
By the way, I think the PAL version art is too cool for school.
At a 1:04 and 1:09 of the Megaman Universe trailer you can see a Darkstalkers arcade cabinent. Hopefully this means that Darkstalkers is finally going to return even if its the original
Im so freaking stoked for this! MMU has got to be one of the most bitchin teaser trailers I've ever seen. Ryu Man plus Arthur Man!? Im sold, but I wonder how the Darkstalkers will mix in? Im guessing MM will take form like ryu/arthur. But who? Im sure it will great regardless of who though.
Most likely he will take the form of either Demitri or Gallon seeing as Demitri's pratically the leader of the Vampire series and Gallon/J.Talbain being a fan favorite of the series.
Well consider me pwned. I always found the original Mega Man NA cover funny, and loved the tribute they did with 9 and 10, but never had any desire to play as the crappily drawn Mega Man. It's possible they're taking the joke too far now -- from a funny observation that was an inside joke to something that will get worn out in-game. Who knows though, I guess it could open the door for a lot of other amusing ideas. His weapons can all be odd versions of the real things, and that could be funny with enough creativity.
I enjoyed that trailer. The stop motion just brought me back to my childhood.
I just clicked on the link on this Megaman thread and the first thing I see is a video of a guy attacked by bees.
