I think this is taking attention-whoring and ego to a new level, even for sports stars.

At least it's pretty obvious that he's going to stay in Cleveland, since I really can't imagine that he does his one-hour special to get to the end, on live tv, to say anything other than "and I'm going to stay loyal to my hometown, to the Cleveland Cavalier organization and its fans, and I've always respected new Head Coach Byron Scott, and I absolutely believe that we're going to win a title right here in Cleveland."

Would be a little cruel to announce on national tv that he's going to dump the home team to go team up with Bosh and Wade in Miami or go to Chicago. Gotta be Cleveland, no doubt now.

But seriously, the ego, what is this, a national signing day special? Should be fun to watch Cleveland get its ass kicked by Boston, Orlando, and Miami next year.

I think it's because he's sick of getting beat by Boston, Miami, and Orlando that he will join D-Wade and Bosh in Miami. I think he's exhausted all his resources in Cleavland and realizes he can't win there.

I dont think he want to go to Miami because if he does, it is still going to be Dwayne Wade's team, and I don't think Lebrons ego could handle that.

I pray that Lebron comes to Chicago, but I have a gut feeling he will resign with Cleveland. At least thursday night we will finally know his decision so we could finally end all this free agency hype and bullshit. If the Bulls don't land Lebron, Carlos Boozer it is (I hope).

Poor Cleveland. I feel horrible for their fans -- and by "fans", I mean those who didn't just hop onboard the big LeHype bandwagon (which is, I'm guessing, a solid 80% or so at least). I'm a bit surprised why anyone is even surprised he chose Miami since it was pretty obvious he was going there. It was all just a media setup by all three of them (Wade, Bosh and James). The obvious sign was last week when they had Wade and Bosh sitting together in their own chairs, then had a 3rd empty chair and they both saying "Well, as you can see, we're missing somebody"....Uh, yeah.

Once Bosh signed, you knew he was coming along. Totally do not buy his statement that he decided this morning. Doesn't matter though, I still don't see them if they make it to the finals beating the Lakers. As long as Kobe is around, he would rather die than see someone like James win a ring and would be even more hungry to show him up and show him what a clutch player looks like. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant stuck/stick to their teams no matter what. Through thick and thin. He's moving to Wade's home now. Cleavland was Lebron's home.

He might or might not of won a championship in Cleavland, but we will never know now. He's still a hall of fame player, championship ring or no championship ring. IMO, it was a poor decision. What a fool.

Well I hate the NBA already and you couldn't pay me to go to a Heat game as I'd much rather go see the Marlins take on the Astros or even the Padres. LeBron maintained he had three priorities: to be the first athlete billionaire, to win a number of championships, and to be popular. He would never be able to achieve the latter if he didn't stay in Cleveland. He not only broke the hearts of the entire city, his hometown, but he has turned himself into a heel.

Michael Jordan was an ass to his teammates, but he never folded on them and never backed down from a challenge. Kobe cheated on his wife and whined about most of his teammates, but he always came out with determination and grit. It's easy to hate them, but when you watched them you had to give respect to their game. With LeBron, while he's had his share of dominating performances (like the 25 points in a row in overtime during the 07 playoffs), he's folded far too often and played around too much trying to appease his fans and become popular.

He will never be as popular now or in the future as he could have been had he stuck behind his hometown team and led them to the promised land. Good luck being stuck in Miami (oh yeah, look there's Rony Seikaly's jersey in the rafters and our one championship banner) with nine minimum salary veterans while D-Wade's body slowly starts breaking down from the daily punishment and Chris Bosh blankly stares at the penetrating guards while "defending" and "blocking".

It's nice that they all wanted to play together, but you never saw that from the greatest players ever. Would Michael, Larry, Magic, Isiah, or Wilt have wanted to team up with each other for an All-Star franchise? Or would they rather battle each other and come out as a true victor to stake their claim on being the greatest ever?
