im a big fan+ of dynasty warriors games. theyre mindless, and grindy, and fun when you're bored and just looking to satisfy that area of your brain that craves steady progression.
word on the street is, Koei is making a Hokuto No Ken [Fist of the North Star] Musou game.

I hope they publish the manga over here again.
I'm more than happy to play it if they bring it over here, but I hope they put more thought into the gameplay than Dynasty Warriors. I'd rather have something more like God Hand. Although I have to admit that if any franchise ever was a good fit to be Dynasty Warrior-ized, it would be Hokuto no Ken.

Last Hokuto No Ken game released stateside I believe was HNK 2
but as "Last Battle" on the Sega Genesis so long ago.
I'm assuming it's going to be for the PS3? Might as well purchase

That's off of the official "Original Sound Track" is why. The group TOMCAT who performed the song for the HNK 2 seasons redid the song for the CD complete with the "hey, hey, hey!" in the background a bit later. I dunno why they put 1980s though as the beginning of that whole story is in 199X. Though I liked the song Tough Boy, my favorite opening was the 2nd one used from episode 88 onwards by Kodomo Band (who did Heart of Darkness for the movie) called Silent Survivor (Do Survive!).Quote:

I remember renting the NES game back in 1988. I can't believe Vic Tokai put it out over here, because hardly anybody knew about FotNS in the US.

Tecmo Koei's CEO Kenji Matsubara stated the game was planned for the overseas market, so I'd expect that it will geta US release at the very least.

And I enjoyed the NES game (like Deuce, I bought it based solely off of the exposure to the Viz comic series.) I liked the GB game too, even though both of them were horrible.
I bought the PSX game when it came out and I also picked up the PS2 release of the arcade fighter. Fuck Last Battle, though. That game is impossibly hard.
Hokuto No Ken is a series that lends itself well to video games.
