Please Please Please Please God give me a reason to play this godforsaken game. Along with 'Rog the killer and Dhalsim the Rapist I am a T.Hawk the Murderer player. If he's in this game and is worth a damn I may possibly give a fuck about this damn game.

Sim does play weird in SFIV, but I like him. He's like a completely new character. Once you get used to him and get his BnBs down, he's fun to use. He's really the only character I use in ranked/tourney play online. I've never been a big charge character fan, so Rog is off my radar even though he's insanely good in IV. I do use Guile in ST, but he blows in IV sadly.Quote:

Yeah, thats what most people think. But DeeJay really has a lot of tools at his disposal. I consider him more like Ryu (in ST at least) because he doesn't have any glaring weaknesses. All of his specials are useful and some of his normals have insane priority. I think hes a much better character in ST than Guile.Quote:

Deejays jumping jab beats all kinds of shit, his crouching mk has good priority and knocks down, which is a great set up for a cross up mk. You're right on all accounts. Dee Jay is a better rushdown charge character than Guile, it's like he can just keep coming especially if you are in a corner. I think he may also be the character that can get the highest number of hits in a combo in Super Turbo.Quote:

I agree DeeJay is a better rushdown character. His slide and turn kick just move him forward. His cross-up lockdown is lethal. Guile is the master of poking and keeping you out though. He can be played rushdown style—which I actually enjoy doing with him—but it's just not as effective against someone that knows what they're doing.
He'll probably fair pretty well in IV's engine. Guile has just lost his flash kick priority and comboing into his super/ultra is a major pain and tends to miss hits way too often.

How is T.Hawk a rehash character? He comes from the series where they keep rehashing characters but how is he himself a rehash character? He's been in 2 games from the SFII series, and he made one appearance in the the Alpha Series. Hardly a rehash character.Quote:

Roster additions that aren't completely new characters aren't really to a game's credit. This is one of the reasons SF4's roster was so off-putting for me.

Capcom was saying T. Hawk and Deejay from the start, and I sincerely hope Deejay is in the game. He was my number 2 in SF2 HDR, such a solid character, like a more complete Guile. If Zangief is anything to draw example from T. Hawk will be a beast in this game. EX hawk dive is going to gain so much ground.

The tweaks Hawk recieved in Remix really helped him out. He has some trouble when someone spaces you with fireballs, but they need to be really good and not make mistakes. Honda's Headbutt is a major annoyance for him. Guile is just anti-Hawk all the way... by far his worst match-up.
Once you get a knockdown with him though, his rushdown and tick-throw game is evil.
Definitely lower tier, but like SPIN said, that's part of his charm. Very satisfying to win with him.

Not sure of that list of rumors. I guess their trying to keep tight lipped about this instead of having some sites spill the beans. I'm sad their not considering Karin, even though she is mentioned in IV. I also would love to see a character or two from EX. Fuck the luchador chef. Give me some Skullo-fuckin'-Mania! And a new version of Doctorine Dark would be baddass as well.
Good news to me. I pretty much loved SFIV, so I'd love an updated game. It's a bit annoying that it would cost another $60 (assuming it's a full release), but I have to admit, I'd bite if it's significantly upgraded.Quote:
