Yep, saw it and it was on DVR, pretty funny. I think this is her first show too so she's prolly fired.

Why is it that you can't say fuck on television?
No idea. Everything else is pretty much acceptable on tv why not the final frontier?
not even saying fuck can make that scene funny.
I remember Comedy Central used to have their 'Secret Stash' movies air around this time at night; they were uncut comedies that had everything intact, I think even 'fuck'.
Why not SNL?
This older clip was linked to that video, made me laugh:

Looks like she realized it after it came out.
They just aired it here on the west coast, and the word is substituted by "frickin'" (in a terrible sketch which apparently believes that excessive use of the word "frickin'" = comedy gold) OMG TABOO!!!
And what was with the painfully dull plane sketch?
This show is just embarrassing now. Almost every skit either desperately needed an immediate gong, or went on so long that any comedy it might've had got squashed.
The Russian bride was funny at first, but it kept using the same gag over and over again until you say "Okay, I get it! NEXT!"
The bedsheets sketch with Kenan, the Weekend Report bit with the blabbering nervous girl, and the Mom Talks to Megan Fox skits all dragged on and on with what I assume were artificial laugh tracks (since I can't imagine any actual audience members laughing at these repetitive gags).
You can say whatever you like on TV over here, there was a whole documentary on why people find the word 'Cunt' so offensive on not long ago.
:)
(obviously after the 9PM watershed)
Shit, this show is awful. I really need to get into comedy. What do these kids make, like $200k a year?
SNl has been shit for so long, I almost forgot the las time it was good. When they fired the entire cast back in 1994/5/6 whenever it was, the show has never been good since. I considered the late 80's/early 90's to be the second good time for SNL.
Anymore one person makes it big on the show because they're actually funny and they move on. While these rare talents come and go the rest of the cast is crap.
Last time SNL was funny to me was in 2000. Though 2008 was pretty good with the election coverage and such. But 2000 was REALLY the last time it was funny to me.
yeah that whole episode made me laugh maybe once, maybe. The whole thing wasn't very funny, especially the firggin sketch.
BTW U2=BORING
The best part about that... He was there representing his job.
Also, Off the linked videos..
I never realized that Shepard Smith sounded just like Kenny Powers when he gets angry.

Who the fuck cares?
You have to slow down and be more patient with it. Savor it. It's on nearly every week when the season gets going. If you think you can do better, you should be an SNL writer. Oh wait, I forgot it's a 35-year-old comedy institution only hires the best and brightest in the business. Hating on SNL is a cliche.
Only redeemable value of SNL in the past decade has been Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island other than that it's terrible.
Like A Boss still cracks me up even after the 100th viewing.
Didn't Lorne Michaels tell Norm MacDonald to leave the show because he was "not funny"?
Uh actually, lets not bother arguing. Just post up a youtube of a recent SNL skit that you think is funny and we'll take it from there.
I'll even give you a couple of months to find one.
I can't believe I found out about Like A Boss a week ago.
"oh fuck me i can't fucking do it shiiiiiiiiit"
Loving it just because everyone else does is an even bigger one. Everyone back in high school always talked about it on Monday and I kept wondering why they still bothered.Quote:

I got screamed at by a guy I know who asked me if I had seen a recent SNL episode and I said no cause I don't find it funny. He then when on a hour long rant about how I don't have a sense of humor, I tuned him out after 5 minutes and walked away.
Seeing that clip lets me know I've missed nothing in not watching it in a very long time
What I can't believe is there are people that don't know Andy Samberg's song Like a Boss is a parody of a real song called Like a Boss from Slim Thug, which is what makes it so funny.
I think you've actually come up with the best way to save the show, bring out the gong.
I admit I've never been particularly impressed with SNL. But I also love all the sort of bizarro rumors, love/hate rants and other stuff that people get into when talking about it. That sort of controversy just feeds it. Do what I did with The Simpsons, they stopped being funny, so I stopped watching and just let it go.
Ironically, the "classic" Simpsons pretty well summarized SNL years ago when Krusty was on Tuesday Night Live, bombs the monologue then starts a sketch with only a handful of laughs before lamenting "uugh... this sketch goes on for twelve more minutes!"
EDIT: Reminded me of another classic Krusty moment.
The exact people that keep SNL somehow funny IMO are: The Lonely Island guys, Jason Sudekis, Will Forte, Fred Armison, Bill Hader, Kenan Thompson, and (sometimes) Kristin Wiig.
i liked the bedsheets sketch...and i can't wait for McGruber: the movie.
Jason Sudakis' JOe Biden is the greatest charecture ever.
The funny thing is it reminds me so much of this infamous incident from last year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK2pj2bktsQ (and I think it had the better sound)
Exactly! The Simpsons is a perfect example of another show that's fallen so far from its former glory that it's nearly unrecognizable now.
Hehe, that Krusty clip you posted brought up this one in the "Related Videos" list. Just a reminder of how funny things once were. :D
The thing about SNL is that it was never as good as you remember it being...
There were some really bad sketches on every episode. EVERY TIME.
And Samberg does all the digital shorts. Spoken like someone who truly doesn't watch the show.
I could show you tons. Especially some of Kristen Wiig's recurring characters. You can't get SNL on youtube though.
That's not what happened to Norm. Look it up on Wikipedia.
Except nobody does, especially on the Internet it seems. No one I know even watches it.
The problem with that approach is that you stop seeing the show, so you can no longer make an informed argument before long. I'm not suggesting you should stick with a show even if you no longer like it, I'm just saying.
Anything with McBain on The Simpsons is funny! The goggles! They do nothing!
One more Mcbain.
I hate the fact that The Simpsons can't make fun of the network anymore like they used to.
I love these clips. That last one Maury posted included one of my favorite gags with Lisa' pen pal.
This is my favorite McBain clip, but it seems to be only available in gibberish:

MEN-DO-ZAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SNL hasn't been funny since their cast became movie stars. Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Adam Sandler, Kevin Nelon, David Spade, Chris Farley, etc, etc.
Who watches it when it's actually on?
??? They still do that all the time. This is the kind of uninformed blanket statements I'm tired of seeing.
People don't hate on SNL because it's "cool" to do so. They hate on it because any time they inadvertently see a piece of it, it invariably SUCKS.
Some people have fond memories about how it used to be good, but mostly that is an illusion based on nostalgia from seeing it at too young an age when that person was a hell of a lot less discerning.
The series survives solely through inertia and people easily pleased be the trite and inane, like Neo Alec, of which there are altogether too many.
imo, the years when David Koechner (sp?), Jay Mohr and that Chicken Lady guy from Kids in the Hall were on were the least funniest seasons.
So is this chick fired or what?
Norm IS funny. Dane is far from funny, just stupid in fact.
Norm is one of the funniest motherfuckers alive.
