Turtles in Time is next week, MvsC2 the following.
The only truly interesting thing right now looks to be Shadow Complex.
I wonder how it will fair.
At least Shadow Complex is only going to be 1200 points.
Man there are some whiny bitches on that forum. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 with online play is a good deal for 1200 points, assuming you like the game that is.
Damn, I tried really hard not to buy fake games.
Then i bought Magic...
looks like I'll buy Shadow Complex,
And I'm thiking of trying this Live out and building a stick... So MvCII has to be on the menu.
1200 points for MvC2?
What a waste of fucking money, the game isn't that fucking good. Actually to be honest it is absolute shit. I'm sure Spike will do his inevitable run in defending the fair honor of MvC2 and how it is quite a deep game. :tickled: I can see XBL matches already...Cable/Iron Man/War Machine or some other load of shit. Yeah that'll be tons of fun. rofl
God almighty, what a ripoff.
Isn't Backbone doing the porting of MVC2? That's reason enough to stay away. Even Sirlin thinks they're shit.
I didn't like the idea of remaking tmnt turtles in time. but it sort of looks nice.
kinda warming up to it.
I might buy MvsC2 to play with friends, but not on real XBL. I agree with DangerousK. There wont be any enjoying it online.
Your opinion of the game aside, I have no idea how $15 for MvC2 with online play is a ripoff.
Shadow Complex looks great. Too bad it's the last of those to be released.
I'll probably get TMNT, and might get Splosion Man. 40% off xbl points is awesome.
I'm skeptical about the Turtles in Time remake, but I think i'm going to give it a try and I hope it's good enough for me to buy, as that is my favorite Turtles game of all time.
Not much interest in MvC2 from me [though I like the game]
Shadow Complex is looking like it's going to be this years XBLA winner though. Can't wait for that.
I'm sure he got the points cards from a sale at Fry's.
They'll have insane sales on video game stuff. I recall one time they had buy one get one free or something to that effect...which applied to point cards.
actually ebay.
best deal on points i've seen at retail was buy 1 get 1 free at circuit city.
MvC2 should be out before morning.
TMNT Turtles in time is a remake of the original.
It's Mahvels baybee! It's out for download for XBLA.

I'm pumped, I hope we don't have to go through the buying characters process in order to unlock everybody.
lol TiT....
MvC2 will be picked up for sure once its on PSN. It's a fun mindless fighter
Anyone know if the button config is able to be changed on MvsC2? I havent downloaded it yet and I want to be sure before I buy it. I bought Ultimate Mk3 and you can't change the button config on that. It's fucking retarded.
You can map your buttons. Here's a video of MvC2 online.

Any impressions on MvC2 compared to the arcade? Also, how is the netcode?
It would have worked better if the subtitle was New Age of Champions.
The whole 'breakfast of champions' thing and all.
meh
One would assume the subtitle would be the punchline, but "New Age of Breakfast?"
That isn't funny.
The 360 version of MvC2 is a ripoff... I had more fun with the dreamcast version where you have to earn points by fighting to unlock stuff. The Xbox 360 version is just a straight port of the arcade version. There's no reason to play this game in single player AT ALL.
Goddammit.
Maybe you're right, but I like the dreamcast way of unlocking things better.
Earning points > # of matches
Makes you feel like you're achieving something.
But I do know that the beginning roster on the home ports starts way smaller than in the arcade version as well as the Xbox 360 version.
I dunno, the AI on this is far better than several of the other fighters that have come out lately, IMO.
I mean, really, play through this to earn the achievement for beating the game with Avengers, and then go back to KOF XII. There's a huge difference.
And netcode is supposed to be quite solid, though I haven't checked it out yet since I feel pretty damn compelled to shake off the 10 years of rust I've built up since the DC version days.
TiT: Re-Shelled is going to be $10, good to hear, price dropped.
Who the fuck wants to unlock characters?! Fuck that man! I wanna play the game fully loaded right away online! I spent too much time unlocking those fuckers for 3 consoles (fuck the naomi!), I openly welcome the change.
I've yet to play the arcade mode. This game is meant to be played online, or at least against other people. Playing these kind of games alone kind of sucks nowdays, back then it was acceptable but thankfully things have changed. I don't care what anyone says playing online does make you better, you just have to be patient and alert.
The only thing that is kind of wacky is that when this game is placed on 16:9 it suffers from graphic glitches, but is a small matter, the gameplay isn't affected at all and it's still as fun as it ever was.
I'm happy with this game and if anyone decides to man up and play online rather than fuss over the fact that they have no reason to play alone then let me know, my tag is electricgrave in both networks.
BTW, the kellog's thing was funny, it did the job.
Am I the only one who thinks MvC2 is really terrible..?
Fucking sucks that TIT is a 360 exclusive...
On that subject, "exclusives" are really pretty fucking lame when you think about it. Outside of console developer titles (MS games on the 360, Sony games on the PS3)...what does a company really have to gain by alienating part of a gaming public? Having an exclusive title will rarely force one to buy an entire console to play it and even if they do, all the developer gets is a single sale from it...
Hrmph.....bitching about the price of bread I guess...
The arcade where I first played MvC2 never bothered to put the codes for the characters in and they unlocked through time and credits. It was cool, because my friend and I would go there every other week and there would always be a new character or two that would be unlocked.
The one producer of Tekken 6 said that unlocking characters is a dumb idea and in the home ports of T6 all of the characters are unlocked at the get go and all you really unlock is the costumes. This is great news for me because I suck at Tekken and I still haven't unlocked all of the characters in 5, hell I'm still missing a few in 3.
Seeing they dropped the price on Turtles in Time is really nice. I wasn't too upset with the price, considering there was never a proper home port of the game, but it sucks that the only way to play it is by using the new style. For the price that they wanted, they should at least have the option to play the old version in there too.
