Are you serious?
"Medical issues"?
Money can buy freedom.
:emb: :emb: :emb:
Plus, they considered the minutes she spent in jail before midnight of the first day to be a whole day, and the short time she spent in there today to be a day. Fucking justice system fails again.
heh, apparently she was released for "Medical reasons".
She was sick of jail...
Oh yeah, boo hoo. She wouldn't sleep or eat the food.Quote:

So... if serious medical concerns played a role in her being released, why wasn't she sent to the hospital like any other inmate?
OMG, it actually sucks being in jail?
Welcome to real life, Paris.
I say we start a petition to get this bitch and her lawyers thrown in jail for a couple of years for obstruction of justice.
What a horrible message to send to the American public.Quote:

What really gets my goat is this snippet from the Verizon yahoo article I read:
"Another two days were lopped off the original 45 since she checked in late Sunday and left early Thursday, earning credit for five days served."
lol justice is blind
Justice is only blind if you have enough money ;).
If all you had to do was get sick in jail and they send you home, every inmate in the thousands of County jails around the country would suddenly fall ill.
This is nothing but a situation where she has the green and the contacts.
Nobody, money really can buy freedom. Fuck this country, fuck this country in it's sorry ass.Quote:

Does she at least have to stay in her bedroom?
Yeah, and she has to go to bed without supper.Quote:

This proves that the gov't will side with whoever has money. They will always take the side of whoever has money because gov't doesn't care about justice. They just care about money. So, it shows what kind of people are running our country. :very_ang:
Rich people aren't regular people like us. They're above the law. You can pretty much do what you want if you have the bills to back it up. Ahem:Quote:

Exactly. Now he's living in Florida and playing golf all fucking day. Justice was served... NOT!Quote:

Justice should be served, and it should start right here in our own forums. :)
Yeah, I wonder who's fake account this is this time? :rolleyes:Quote:

These are prime examples of why rich people think they can do what ever they want. (because they can)
Yeah I wondered about this aswell.... when did she go in? 3 days ago or something?
Not to mention you get out on 2/3rds of your sentence right?
Thats fucked up.
i was hoping arnold would be a hardass and not let this shit slide. arnie is letting me down. :crying:
California is a state full of the most worthless people in the country.
We already know this.
I'm surprised she was in jail this long. Remember Michelle Rodriguez was in that same jail and released after just one day due to over crowding. I thought the same would happen to Paris, but I wasn't too far off. You guys are really naive if you thought she would serve the entire sentence (23 days, let alone the original 45).
lol american justice
what do you think.. wasabi, bobak .. :p
I love how neo800's new fake account is sitting in unrelated waiting on a reply to his retarded comment he put in this thread.
DWI is a serious serious offense...
I can understand letting a person not go to jail due to a bunch of civil violations or petty midemeanors... .
But multiple DWI demands a 15 day jail sentance... Especialy for someone like Paris Hilton... She won't lose her job due to having to serve a 15 day bid.....
I am not able to comment on California law really, but I would assume that changing the sentence to house arrest isn't a terrible thing. In fact, I would say that house arrest is probably a great idea. For one thing, prisons don't need more people. The state doesn't need to be paying for Hilton's food, room and board. In fact, this should be done for drug violators as well. House arrest, slap on a bracelet that also acts as an electric leash. Maybe like the devices in Jean Claude Van Damme's Double Team or Battle Royale.
I personally don't like the prison system. Prisons should exist to protect society AND reform criminals. A house arrest protects society, and no one expects Paris to be reformed at all after this. Though next time she gets drunk, a multiple vehicular homicide DWI felony murder would open her to the death penalty. I can't think of a better reason to keep the death penalty on the law books.
You have a good point there. Well said. We are paying for enough prisoners as it is.Quote:

Makes you wish you were the one bribed to get her out of prison, doesn't it.Quote:

Not defending Paris, but would it really be better for the Jail atmosphere to simply get rid of her? I mean everyone is fucking gunning for her inside I'm sure, (simply read the replies in this thread) and with the media circus I can't see how this helps maintain discipline within the jail itself.
Sometimes cross-eyed as well. Shit, should've just thrown her into general pop. w/the other bulldyke savages. Now that would be hot!Quote:

Hours after Paris Hilton was sent home under house arrest Thursday, the judge who put her in jail ordered her into court to determine whether she should be put back behind bars. Hilton must report to court at 9 a.m. Friday, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told The Associated Press. "My understanding is she will be brought in in a sheriff's vehicle from her home," Parachini said.
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer issued his order after the city attorney filed a petition late Thursday afternoon questioning if Sheriff Lee Baca should be held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton Thursday morning.
The celebrity inmate was sent home from the L.A. County jail's Lynwood lockup shortly after 2 a.m. for an unspecified medical condition in a stunning reduction to her original 45-day sentence.
She was ordered to finish her 45-day sentence under house arrest, meaning she could not leave her four-bedroom, three-bath home in the Hollywood Hills until next month.
