so why didn't any of the worthless fucks sitting at the bar do anything about it? what the fuck is that? when you see something like that happen you gotta do something, shit.
That's some crazy video.
Why didn't that guy off to the left try and stop him?
wawawiwa!
sometimes you just don't know what to do.Quote:

Looks like she had it coming to her.:smirk:
Maybe the others in the bar knew the guy's a cop. I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but a cop here is required to have a gun and 1 magazine on him at all times. Maybe they thought if they get confrontational the cop would start blasting.Quote:

Honestly though, that pig fucking sucks.....he can't even assault a tiny woman correctly. :oh_no:
1 hit to drop her is usually enough, you call her a cunt when shes down, and then you dust yourself off and walk out like a gentleman.
At least that's how I would've done it if I was a morbidly obese alcoholic police officer.
I don't know how people can watch shit like that.
Late last year I was on a crowded street corner with my daughter in her stroller when I saw a commotion coming across the intersection. This woman was yelling and trying to keep a man from getting away, she was clinging to him, trying to stop him. I didn't know what to think at first, and everyone else on the corner was just kind of watching. I knew something odd was up, but I couldn't understand what she was yelling and I had no contextual knowledge of the situation. So they're going at it with her pulling at him and yelling, and I wanted to intervene, but I'm standing on a busy corner with my infant daughter while waiting for my wife to finish some shopping and I'm afraid to leave her.
Then the guy balls up his fist and punches the woman right in the side of her head around the jaw area. I see her get fazed by the punch and her phone went flying, but she was fucking tough because she still held onto the guy. At this point, I said fuck it and I came up behind the dude and put him in an arm lock. I wanted to beat his ass so bad for punching this woman, but there were people everywhere and I didn't want to get in trouble myself, so I just restrained him. I'm holding him, trying to keep one eye on my daughter in her stroller. Luckily a couple of guys from the crowd helped hold the guy and my wife showed up at that point to watch my daughter.
It turns out the lady was an undercover store security guard and the guy was a shoplifter. After a couple of minutes four store employees came down and escorted this guy to the local police station. I went along to give my account of what happened but it turns out it wasn't needed.
So yeah, if you see a woman getting beat on and you don't instinctively want to help, something's wrong..
Well, that is nice that you helped her out.Quote:

Also...once you process this, your fight, flight or stay the fuck out of it insticts will kick in. And you are what you are and there is nothing wrong with protecting yourself.
Regarding the cop and the woman. I would have jumped over the bar and kicked her while she was down. It was pretty clear she was a threat to this police officer and just a matter of time before she unloaded on him. So yes...I don't know why the other members at the bar didn't help him.
well, in psych terms, there is a theory that the more people are watching the less likely someone will do something about it. We all assume someone else will. There is a proper term, but at the moment im busy studying other material for an exam.Quote:

Well...I am guessing that the cop didn't know that there was a camera filming him. So...if he didn't know, I am sure that the couple of people there weren't thinking, hey I can take on this cop and the camera will prove that I was in the right.Quote:

I would like to think that I would help her out as well. My problem is I don't like Cops and I don't like lady bartenders. So I would have a real conflict with this one.
The time to step up was when he was getting unruly.....

Actually, I think the beat down was started when the barmaid challenged Coppy McBeatsalot's assertion that "Ya don' fuck wit' da' Bears!"
Seriously though, on second examination he kind of looked like a fat chav.

Then again, when I see two college kids start brawling in sub-zero temps in sweaty T-shirts outside of Grandma's Bar... that's just good times right there :D
There are a lot of variables as to why the people didn't intervene, but it's a possibility all these guys were regulars, and knew he was a cop. That right there would stop me from laying a hand on him. It's a pretty cut and dry thing that the lady needed help, but you don't fuck with the good old boys unless you have some solid evidence backing you up.
Matt
Knowing that he was an off duty would make me even more glad to put my hands on him.
What would've made that video awesome is if all the other patrons were off-duty mimes who find themselves trying to stop him but unable to actually touch him.
World's Most One-Sided Fistfights.
By looks but at the end of the video, the woman pretty much stood up and walked away on her own without much help. If it was really one-sided, she would've stayed down for the count ;)Quote:

It really disgusts me when people just stand there like that...bystander apathy?

Good lord, you're unfunny. I really do feel embarrassed whenever you post a "joke." Making posts about observations that nobody notices or cares about becomes you much better than attempts at being humorous.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is spectacular --the kid, Aaron D, is 100% wrong, yet tries to defend himself by proving he's wrong compeltely. Is there a sale on idiocy?
Christ, I mean, point out incorrect usage, then the man hemorrhages shit out of his mouth :spock:
Let's take this apart, again:
"Diplomatic immunity" :lolz: --how does that apply here, again genius? You quoted a definition that only confirms what you said had nothing to do with the context.Quote:

However, sometimes for the sake of good foreign relations a country will extradite or try the individual in their own country.
Let's look at what you said again:
Okay... "Diplomatic immunity will rescue that cop from any punishment that is proportional to the crime." He's a Chicago cop. Not a diplomatic official.Quote:

So why don't you go fuck yourself, you testy bastard :smirk:
The word for what I did to you then and now is "PWN3D". :glee:Quote:

Kisses and hugs, Aaron :smirk:
I didn't get Aaron's use of diplomatic immunity either. But I just let it pass, kinda like my gas.
I should have too, but it's that nagging ghostly voice of my old professors (my undergraduate professors) tell me to speak up. They also tell me to eat chocolate... at least I think its them... too much :(Quote:

Wrong context or not, even your stupid ass should realize why there is a problem with that.
You didn't pwn me that hard, if at all. And anyway, getting "pwn3d" by somebody who had to go through law school to learn proper grammar, spelling and punctuation isn't much of an insult to me at all. That, compounded with the fact that your personality and all of your tastes are generic, boring and unoriginal softens the "pwning" even more. Plus, you apparently listen to Bright Eyes, which makes it that much harder to take anything you say personally or seriously.
The word for what you do to yourself every time you post (especially if an attempt at a "joke" is present), is "pwn."
It says that people know my posting style even though they still get it wrong as there were contradictions present in what was written. I could say the same about spinmaster or bobak.Quote:
