Woooo!
Can't wait to see what they have lined up for achievements, though it'll probably be some obvious stuff like beat both castles and the like. I'll be there, though.
i skipped on tmnt but bought some points so im going to grab this one.
worms rox btw!
800 points!!!! Yeah :buttrock:
They've added new sound effects? I hope they don't suck.
I'm really looking forward to playing this. If it doesn't come to Japan (like TMNT) I'll just pick up the PSX one and play that again.
Alucard ROCKS.
I did not hear about this. I Cant wait!:buttrock:
make an american account. download the trial version and then boot it up on your japanese account and purchase the game from within the game itself... should work.Quote:

Which, of course, won't happen. But seriously, the last downloads have been amazing. And finally SOTN comes out? And it's NOT a rumor? Yes!
Any news on a Japan release?
I have ~900pts on my Japan live account, and id really rather not have to buy points on a US account.
Plus the US voices are terrible.
But i still havent decided if i'll get it or not. The 360 d-pad is so completely crappy...

It makes the (mediocre) playstation d-pad seem great by comparison. The PS pad is only miserable for fighting games. It does fine for most other games.

You're COMPLETELY out of your fucking mind if you think the 360 d-pad is anything other than a steaming pile of shit.Quote:

The 360's D-Pad is fine.
So you enjoy the "4 button d-pad of shit oops can't do a diagonal, circular, or half circle motion" that is the Playstation d-pad over the cross pattern of the 360? This isn't opinion, it's fact, the 360 pad is leaps and bounds over the Playstation. It seems you've been too busy getting used to the asstastic d-pad on the Playstation to even notice how terrible it is. Sure, you always will go in the direction you want because th D-PAD IS FOUR BUTTONS OF UP, LEFT, DOWN, AND RIGHT. It's not too hard to get that wrong.Quote:

no, dumbass. the PS d-pad is pretty awful, and REALLY awful for fighting games in particular. But you need to lose your hardon for the 360 dpad. it does the seemingly impossible, and is MUCH worse than the playstation pad.Quote:

Seriously, i have NEVER seen ANYONE praise, or even try to defend the absolute disaster of a dpad on the 360 controller.
When SFII hit XBLA there were HUGE amounts of complaints about the dpad everywhere on the net.
take off your fanboy hat and smell the truth: the 360 dpad is shit.
See, let me just explain what's going on here dipshit. We're talking about the merits of the d-pad on the 360 vs. the PS2, not who's l33t at SF or joysticks, so why don't you go back to doodling kiddo.Quote:

Funny thing is I bought a 360 off of ebay and am currently sending it in for repairs so I can get a cheap 360. Oh yea, big 360 fanboy here. You should post here more often, you might get a better sense of reality. As always, it's been entertaining.
You're discussing the merits of a D-Pad by using fighting games as a benchmark.Quote:

The import Saturn was known for quality ports of fighting games. So, many people praised the ease of use of the Saturn d-pad with fighting games.Quote:

The saturn pad is brilliant, and the only pad even worth considering for a fighting game..Quote:

the 360 dpad is shit at even simple tasks like navigating a menu that has more options than up/down.
That's like arguing about how good a fork is based on how well you can eat soup with it.Quote:

Here, I'm going to help you out buddy. It seems you are not capable of making a directional movement without training wheels, so I've devised a controller just for you.Quote:

Of course you have the standard 4 button d-pad. You'll always go forward, no doubt about that, because it's a damn button for forward. On the other side you have your diagonals. This will save you from trying to move from forward to down forward. Now you can press a button and your on your way. The middle d-pad is inverted just for the hell of it.
It's a wonder you can play games at all. The PS2 pad works great for you because you need training wheels in order to use a d-pad. Just keep taking baby steps and I know you can push though to maybe an NES controller in the near future, but don't push yourself. It's a daily process.
I know, I'm such a moron I'll have to throw myself off a bridge and that won't be pretty. Use conjunctions, they're you friends.Quote:

(in this case, you're idiotic supposition that i like the PS2 dpad).
I have no problem with directional inputs. the 360 pad likes to add a few of its own on the way, which is the problem.
Have fun with the 360 d-pad that, apparently, only works properly for you. or maybe you're just too stupid to notice how shitty it actually is?
Fact, the 360 D-Pad sucks.
I would love to play more of Hyper Fighting, but the D-Pad is so useless, I can't even be assed to play it anymore.
It's a shame because I like the controller for the most part, just if someone at Microsoft had a brain, we might have gotten a solid controller.
Let's get back on track:
SOTN on xbox live! YIPPEE!
PS: Sure, the d-pad sucks for street fighter, but I've not had problems with any other game. Perhaps I don't use it enough to know. I'm an arcade man, so any d-pad, to me, sucks balls.... no matter.
The Saturn pad was not all that. The Hori fighting stick, however, was. Without the Hori stick, KoF 95 would have been unbearable on the Saturn.
Well, obviously a stick is much better than any d-pad, but as far as d-pads go, the Saturn pad is tits. bigguns. :drool:Quote:

Still can't believe this game is 10 years old already. I remember that day after high school when i got it. Good times.
"Die Monster. You don't belong in this world."
wow fanboys and anti fanboys abound....
the 360's dpad isn't very good.
that being said rassilon only has negative things to say about the 360.
Thats not true.Quote:

Well it has been a while since I have down loaded an Arcade Live game but I am getting SOTN for sure. I never played much of it when it first came out, so this will be a new game to me.
As for d-Pads, I don't like them. The only time I didn't mind the d-Pad was during the NES, SNES, Genisis and TG16 days because that is all I had ever gamed with. I would agree that the Japanese Saturn Pads were probably the best but for the most part, d-pads have been shit.
Fuck the gamepad, I'm playing this with the DOA4 stick :emb:
the ps3 has much less good to say about it at this point (don't talk about what hasn't come out yet, no point) but i don't see you jumping in to rag on it every single chance you get. your "i like chromehounds, etc, etc" is to me obviously a thinly veiled attempt to hide the fact you are a fan boy.Quote:

As for the 360, i should just be a good liittle sheep and ignore what i find to be glaring flaws?
you, however, seem to go out of your way to jump on anyone who does post anything positive about the ps3. before pointing the fanboy finger at anyone else, you need to take a close look at yourself.
Whoa whoa whoa, calm down fellas.
Too much hatin' and not enough Castlevanin'.
