Fine... I was carjacked last night... (Scott, for the love of God, make this a comic!
I never thought it would happen to me, but it did...last night.
As I was climbing into my truck at the gas station on my way home a woman appeared in my doorway out of nowhere pointing a Glock (what I believe was a G26) at me. At the same time, a man jumped in the back seat behind me and held a knife to my throat.
They forced me to climb between the two front seats into the back seat behind the driver's seat. The man got into the front passenger's seat and the woman handed him the gun (which he promptly turned back in my direction). The woman then got into the driver's seat and the three of us began leaving the station.
Their plan had worked flawlessly...except they made one fatal mistake...they never considered that I might be armed too.
As they began to drive me out of the gas station parking lot the woman had to brake suddenly to avoid pulling out in front of an oncoming car. When she did, the man instinctively turned his head away from me to see what she had slammed on the brakes for (when he did the gun turned slightly away from me too). In that split second that he was distracted I drew my Glock 19 from it's holster and and fired one shot at his temple area. I missed and the bullet struck his left jaw. Just like I have trained, I immediately lowered and fired two rounds squarely into his chest (which was facing me due to the way he was turned). The gun fell from his hand into the rear floorboard. He turned to try to get out of the truck but only managed to get the door open before slumping over. Startled, the woman driving let her foot slip off the clutch and stalled the truck. Then she got out and took off running. I considered chasing after her but instead I got out of the truck and placed my gun in the bed and then called 9-1-1 on my cell phone.
I'm not being charged at the time...
