Hmmm Alice in Chains - Them Bones.

Class song. Remember first hearing it when watching the SF2 anime.

Can see myself practicing that one in GAME.

Not bad. Though, I was hoping for Welcome to the Jungle if there was going to be a Guns n' Roses song. Still, I will be buying this upon release.

Allman Brothers, good stuff.

Sigh, they could have picked a better Skynard song though.

Good shit.

It's looking pretty good but it needs some more thrash in there. Metallica, Slayer, Testament or Exodus will do also stop with the fag music like Avenged Sevenfold:shame:

Not the best list they could have come up with, but still very solid. Hopefully this isn't the complete list. My count is 23 which is an odd number anyway. I liked a few of the bonus tracks from the first game so hopefully they will have some nice bonus tracks this time around as well.

Eh, nothing catches my eye, and the fact that there is a KISS song ruins most of everything about the game. KISS sucks

Anthrax and Lamb of God are pretty cool additions, other then that....meh. They should of added, "Among the Living" instead of, "Madhouse" though.

Madhouse is still one of the top songs on that list though. IMO there's too much classic rock in these games, because after you get good the only songs that continually remain fun to play are the thrash/heavy metal tunes.

Lynyrd Skynrd "Freebird"
Oh for crying out loud

GH2 is said to have a bass guitar mode, right?

I may have to get this to try my luck against Primus.

There are some good choices in there but come on...

STP's Trippin on a Paper Heart In a Hole BBQ whatever? HELLO - DEAD AND BLOATED > *

Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box? That's not a rockin' song. It's slow as fuck and boring. How about Molly, or anything from Nevermind?

Freebird was a nobrainer, I was surprised it wasn't in the first one, even though the song sucks. Heart's Crazy On You? HELLO... what about that little song BARRACUDA?

Not a bad list, but there are some really lame ones in there. And what's with the Cover of a Cover? With Van Halen, they could have used Eruption, Aint Talkin 'bout Love, or other Roth songs, but they used You Really Got Me? So now You Really Got me is going to be covered by a band that probably wont sound very good, and the VH song itself is a cover. LAME.

I was hoping that they would come up with a series of specific band disks as like the first game there is a fair amount of dross to have to wade through(shite like Primus,Dick Dale,Kiss,Reverend Horton,Alice in Chains and Avenged Sevenfold).I'm glad and surprised that Madhouse is on there as I love that track, although I would have liked Metal Thrashing Mad from the first album to be on instead.

I'd love to have a Metallica/White Zombie/Slayer/Machinehead(delete as appropriate) specific game where you start off around the first album playing the smaller gigs then if you keep wowing the crowd your record contract gets renewed and you then go to the next album and bigger venues.

Plus to be allowed to progress to the next album stage you would have to complete the lead, rhythym and bass parts.

Meh, maybe one day :loco:

Just because they made money doesn't mean they're good. Limp Bizkit made money.

I'm still waiting for the 4 horsemen by Metallica to make it on there, either that or Master of Puppets.

Yeah, you could tell that the developers put Avenged Sevenfold in there for the Hot Topic crowd. :oh_no:

I hope I'm not the only one that picked this game up today. I really enjoyed this game so far. It's a good deal harder than the last one. I wasn't interested with the song list when it first came out but upon playing the game, I realized I knew 90% of the songs after selecting them. Goes to show I'm not a big music buff...

The only negative thing I can say about this game is the hefty price. The bundle cost me $80 which is $20 more than I paid for GH1 bundle when it first came out. That being said, I'll get my money's worth out of it.

I haven't explored all the songs or the new features, but the addition of the "encore song" is an interesting and fun touch.

I also bought the Trogdor song which is quite hard but VERY short. That's all from me. I just want to get other people's opinions.

My fingers are numb already. The Best Buy near me started selling them at midnight last night. Dave Navarro was there signing boxes/guitars/cards, so it was a madhouse. I just wanted the game. I'm not a big get-things-signed person.
