Anything other than a simple ring is just pathetic.
It's 2006 yall.
Custom ring tones are soooo 2002.
Lil Wyte's verse from Three 6 Mafia's "Who I is"
Vibrate.
Everytime I see someone with a bluetooth headset in their ear or hear their loud ass hip-hop ringtone, I wanna punch them in the face and throw them into a lake full of AIDS.
Shut the fuck up, you know damn well you wouldn't do shit, jersey boy.Quote:

on my PDA I use Xepher from beatmania IIDX for my alarm. I don't have a USB cable for my phone though.
I have a few custom ones I made when I got my new phone.
When my work calls, it's "general hosiptal" by Dr. Octagon
"disco prince" from katamari damacy when my katamari playing buddies call.
but my default is "birdhouse in your soul" by they might be giants.
I like your style (although I thoroughly despise the Flood album).Quote:

What's your current ringtone?
"Hey, I got a new cell phone!"
"Oh yeah? What ringtones does it have?"
Who cares? Why are ringtones so important? How braindead and bored are people that they found original ring so "boring" that they needed to "spice up their day" with "catchy" ringtones?
David Banner ~ Play
Just the chorus from the album version.

The new TMBG stuff (mink Car through Spine) just seems more Flansburgh than Linnel, and I prefer the Linnel stuff. I've been listening to that band for 18 years now, I can't think of anything else I've done consistently for that long.
My cell phone ring is a recording of me saying "HEY FUCKTARD, YOU HAVE A CALL WAITING".
Just kidding. It's a three-tone, single-pitch ring. Soothing.
Moonlight Sonata.
The Galaga opening
My ringtone is the song from Megaman 1, Cutman's stage. Not the original NES version, but the version from Megaman and the Wily Wars on Megadrive.
I'm such a nerd.
I would second the Apollo 18 nomination, if it weren't for their John Henry album. There's something so dark, so malvolent, and so un-TMBG about it that it stands out as my favorite album of theirs (and one of my favorites in general). I sorta stopped listening to TMBG after Mink Car, though, because the stuff was going somewhere I didn't like, and I couldn't place my finger on it. Oh well.Quote:

Omarion - Touch
The Village People - Macho Man.
Mario Kart (Snes) title screen.

Am I the only one who just keeps the cell phone on vibrate?
I can't stand listening to any rings tones.
Why you need a fucking song to play when someone calls is just idiotic.
standard Nokia ringtone for me.
:chimp:
Just the normal standard cell phone ring tone on my Treo 650. I use it
for mostly for business so I really don't pay attention to ringtones...
I turn the ringer on my phone off 95% of the time. It's all about the vibrate setting which is generally less annoying then some dumbass ring.
I only set my phone to ring when it is recharging.
I even turn off the vibrate function when i'm in class, so my phone makes zero sounds.
I hate pricks who dont turn their phones off or to silent while in class.
"Bloody Tears" from Castlevania 2 Simons Quest....hellz yeah
Faded by Soul Decision :buttrock:
I have designated ones for family and friends:
Mom - Four Tops
Dad - Hawaii Five-O theme
Brother - New Order
Work - Tales of Symphonia Opening Theme
Dash no Chris - Galaga
taitai - Lewis Black
roommate - Monty Python
Once I get something to do my own, I'm totally adding some game ringtones.
Beck's Loser, although I rarely have my phone off vibrate.
Tool - Sober
Right now, I'm just using a generic digital-ish bell sound. I usually keep it on vibrate, anyway.
I really should pimp out my crappy cell phone with flashy graphics and sounds sometime, but so far I just haven't felt like it.
2 Unlimited - No Limit
:kekeke:
i have the metal gear solid's "codec" sound. yes it's geeky, but thankfully the tone itself is just a ring, not a melody/song or anything. i can't stand actual melodic ringtones. plus the codec just rocks
used to have my phone always on vibrate, but my current phone's vibrate alert is pretty weak. i always miss it or notice it too late, especially when i'm walking around the city etc. hence i have to have sound on
I lol at mobiles
GF: Mario World underwater theme
Parents: French CanCan (Parodius version)
Other Family: Mappy bonus stage
Friends: Day of the tentacle opening (starting from the car ride scene)
Work: Metal Slug X level 1 tune
Others: Castlevania's Wicked Child
Most of the time i m in mute/vibe though
Clocks by Coldplay.
When I'm not using a standard ring-type sound, I usually have something game related on it.
Right now, I'm using the KOF2000 character select music. It works really well with my phone's "ascending ring volume" (or something like that) option where it starts ringing quiet and ramps up the volume. I usually hear the cymbals before anything else and answer it. :)
Les Claypool - Rumble of the Diesel
Leftfield - Inspection (Check One)
Replacements - bastards of young (chorus)
I've never used anything other than some variation of a standard ring. Maybe it's because I've had a cell phone for over 10 years (back when they didn't have fancy tones), I just don't like them. A phone needs to sound like a phone, boy howdy..
Judas Priest - Turbo Lover
fags.
I've still got the original Matrix soundtrack (end credits) from when i bought the phone over 2 years ago. I mostly leave it on Vibrate anyhow so i've never changed it.
