Between Burnout, Gran Turismo and Forza...Ridge Racer has fallen off.

You CAN argue cold, hard, gameplay of one title vs. another.
However, once you get into the "coolness" of one series vs. another and bickering about it on the internet, you have entered a whole nother realm of supreme retardedness, from which light nor matter can escape. It all probably points to you being underemployed, abusing marijuana/glue/NyQuil and never getting laid.
F-Zero rocks.
Ridge Racer rocks.
Burnout has sloppy 'on rails' gameplay and relies on Matrix-y camera work and lots of collisons and sparks to thrill the masses, along with some incredibly bad emopunk poop tunes.
That said, I had fun with BO3 for a while, until the lame tunes and crash-driven gameplay got really old.

r games have always been ahead of the curve in aesthetics [DESIGN not graphics] and sound --- and by ahead of the curve i don't mean better than the rest.

Burnout got really really fast. I haven't touched my copy of Revenge in a really long time and have no desire to do so anytime in the future. I might sell it eventually.
I haven't played any of the Ridge Racer games, but I won't be buying a 360 for it. I might get the PSP version if this drought of decent PSP titles continues.
