thinking of backing out
I don't know if I want to do this or not
has anyone else ever done this?
why are you getting it?
Whatre you getting it for?
Im Swarchzenager and Spinmaster is DeVito.
We Are Twinz!!
One of my uncles had this done. I dunno if it really helped though.
doc is looking for MS
but so far the MRIs of my head and spine were negative
I guess this is the last test
No but if it's anything like the movie it should be hilarious.
Imagine how many hovercars spinal fluid can fuel...
"No, you see Roker.. our Lumbar Puncture goes to 11."
The Roker will go in with a cold sore, and by the time the next scene rolls around the doctor will have a cold sore.
I don't know what to recommend, but for some reason I think violently sneezing during a spinal tap wouldn't be a good idea :p

Whats the advantage of detecting MS early?
Also....GET A SECOND OPINION. If other doctors recommend the same deal...then do it.
Luckily im not an honors student.Quote:

Good luck roker - hopefully things will work out.
What are your symptoms, by the way?
When spinal fluid is removed during an LP, the risks include headache, brain herniation, bleeding, and infection.
Just thought I'd throw that in :D

-pain all along my neck
-shooting, electric shock like pain that either shoots from my head to my neck, neck to my shoulder and upper arm, or head to neck to shoulder to upper arm. Seems to originate from the spot in front of my ear and sometimes from the spot above my ear.
-ringing in ears
-sensitive to loud sounds
-constant cracking and popping in my neck (I don't even try, it just happens)
-acute sleep apnea ( in the 12 weeks I've been sick it's only occurred 7 times)
-some twitching as I try to fall asleep
-muscle spasms
-left eye lid twitches (I went 8 weeks like this, now with neurontin it only occurs sporadically)
-when I lay down, my left hand's 4th and 5th fingers go numb
-sometimes when I lay down, my legs fall asleep
-heavy feeling in my head
-pain behind the eyes
-some breathing problems, palpitations, murmurs, etc.
-fatigue
-shoulder blade pain, neck stiffness, shoulder pain, upper arm pain, front of the neck near the throat, underarm pain
-insomnia, I went through a period where it was hard to sleep for more than 3 hours and sometimes I just couldn't sleep until I had too. It aggravated the headaches too. I have to sleep on my left side.
-difficulty holding objects in my hand for too long (cup of coffee, my dick, etc.)
Jesus Fucking Christ.
Good luck :emb:
I hope it isn't as terrible as everyone describes it :crying:
Roke I hope the best for you. I'm not really sure what is involved in a spinal tap, but I remember doctors were wanting to attempt it on my grandma as a last resort just before she died of lymphoma. I remember being told that if she had it there was a large chance she could die during the operation, but without it she'd have no chance of survival... she ended up dying either that day or the next without attempting the operation (those couple of days ran together).
Good thing the MRI did not come up with Cancer....
Any chance that this could all be just stress?

Jesus those symptoms are horrible.
Good luck with the Spinal Tap tommorow, and whatver happens I hope things turn out alright for you.
Hang in there.
I bet video games made the roker sick.
God damn Flashing on Operation Wolf for Taito Collection damn near gave me Epilepsy
How much blacker could the roker get?
None, none blacker.
But seriously, good luck with all that man. I hope everything turns out alright for you. And your Goldeneye guide will be sent out soon, if that makes you feel any better.
Whoa...man that's pretty bad.
If a spinal tap fixes those problems then go for it.
I hope it all goes good for you. :)
by the way can someone enlighten me on what a spinal tap is?
i feel your pain. i had spinal menegidis(i have no idea how to spell it) when i was 6. shit sucked. giant needles in your back aren't exactly fun, but hey its better than being dead.
First off guys...Spinal Taps don't usually *fix* anything....they are mainly used to remove spinal fluid to test for disease, such as meningitis.
I've had two of them....and while they are not the most pleasant thing in the world, the actual thought of what is happenng is a lot worse than the procedure itself.
Something that helped me when I had to get one was this: I brought in a small MP3 player so that I could listen to music in one ear (you still have to be able to hear them talking to you, if they need to tell you anything), and brought in my girlfriend so that I could hold her hands. Between that and the music my mind was thoroughly off of what was happening, and it was over very quickly. If you have no significant other, ask to hold a cute nurse's hands - they'll do it, just look at them with scared eyes and they'll do pretty much anything!
Good luck in any case, and hopefully it's not MS.

As for the MP3 player suggestion.. you should play "Big Bottom".

Roker's just worried that he won't be able to get that job on the sex farm if he's sick to much longer.Quote:

Half those symtoms (twitching, numbness, some pain, sleep problems) can all be the result of Anxiety/Hypchondria. The other half happens to me after a good long hard night of drinking. (fatigue, heavy ringing in my ears, numbness in my fingers=light brain damage, and problems holding my dick).
