It's 12:46 AM here in California and after 2 hours of site downtime I see:

Nobody is chatting now.

butta, Nesagwa, and roker are all 3 hours ahead (OK, yes, tonight happens to be Daylight Savings), so it's roughly 3 AM DST-adjusted for those clowns.

And this is a regular occurance.

I'm ready to tuck in for the night to get my customary 6 hours of sleep. No matter how early I go to sleep, I can not stay asleep longer than 6 hours straight.

What's your typical night's sleep?

Also note in the above how many guests are on right now :eek:

Around 4 to 6 hours.

Old habits D-Lite, they die hard. Much like Genjiglove.... I have yet to kill him - and I'm finding it difficult.

I usually get around 6 hours of sleep. Sometimes I make it up by sleeping 10+ hours on saturday.

Same for me pretty much since about April. But what I need is about 9 hours a night to feel right. And with no alarm, I could easilly do 12 or 13 hours. I love sleep. I miss sleep.

Working from home allows me stupid schedules, 5, 6 am nightly. Even though I can sleep in I still get 5-6 hours, SOMETIMES 10 but hardly anymore.

And the late nights lead to bad decisions like calling easy girls or buying LOTS of shit online then receiving it later in the week and not remembering you bought it.

I usually sleep 8 hours in weekdays, from 1AM to 9AM, and during weekends, if I don't go out at night and stay at home, sleep 9 hours from 1AM to 10AM.
And only very few times I do the typical Spanish siesta sleeping from 4PM to 5PM. My father does it every day though.

If given the chance, and or opportunity, I will sleep from 7am-Noon... that just seems to be the normal hours my body likes to be asleep. Of course having 8am classes this semester and work following that up at Noonish... then classes after work... getting into that sort of sleep pattern is hard, to say the least. Luckily for me there's another insomniac in this area that helps me maintain my desired sleep pattern of going to bed around 7am... or was it 9am this week? Fuck... who can remember. Anyway I'm floating pretty fine on 5 hours or so of sleep... give me 6 or 7 and it's a luxury, but I hardly need more. I've always been the weirdo late owl insomniac. I gravitate towards people like that because, well shit... I'm up at 3am doing nothing... I need to find other people of the similar ilk. Heh, even when I was in VA last year, I'd come out to LA and be up way later than anyone else... even with my 3 hour different internal clock. Fuck it... no rest for the wicked.

3 to 6 hours. every few weeks, i pass out and sleep for like 10 to 12 hours, if at all possible.
almost 40 hours a week at uni and another 20 to 30 hours a week at work do this to you ...

Generaly my sleeping pattern is 8-9am to 3pm. Although on my days off I'm prone to sleep till around 6 or 7pm.

My record for longest sleep is 23 hours ( I got up once just to piss ) after going 5 days up . Anyone else ever sleep for 20+ hours strait before ? That's a creepy feeling when you wake up enough to realize it's literaly the next day and it takes forever to feel woke up.

No, but I've been awake for 58 hours straight before... the kicker there is you don't feel tired just really dizzy around the 50 hour mark... the last 8 hours were the hardest part, I got real pissy and crazy... wasn't making a lot of sense. That was a good road-trip though, made it to where we were heading and passed out in the van... woke up 4 hours later feeling like complete and utter shit. Within 5 hours of that... my friend and I slept on the floor of my new (and completely empty) apartment for a good 15 hours or so. Good times... I was still hoped up on speed and sugar (mass consumptions of jelly beans, and a constant flow of blood sugar and cotton mouth)... it was a weird sleep, but it felt good.

I'm sure any crazy insomniac will tell you the same thing... the hump is around 32 hours. Break that and you are good to go... the hours leading up to the hump are so bad though... once over you fly high for hours and hours.

In college I was always up until at least 1 or 2 AM, even with 8 AM classes regularly. That started it. Then grad school I worked in lab until 1 AM most nights, and nights I didn't we went out and got shitty until 2 AM. Now that I have a kid I still can't go to sleep early so I burn much of that 10 PM until 2 AM time in the shop tinkering. That's how I've picked up so many hobbies :emb:

usually go to bed at 3 and wake up about 9:45. works out to be about 6.5 hours with actually falling asleep taken into account.

weekends i usually get an extra 1 or so on top of that.

usually 6-8 hours all week. ill go to bed around 2am and wake up around 10am when i have afternoon class. when i have morning class ill got o bed around 1am and get up at 9am. its been pretty constant for the past month or so.

Well, I see I'm not exactly out of the norm around here when it comes to sleeping patterns...4 - 6 hours per night. When I get less than four hours, my mental capacity significantly decreases and my tollerance level for other people does the same. Yeah, I'm all kinds of fun to be around when I'm sleep deprived.

4-8 hours it varies. if i only sleep 4 hours there is a guaranteed nap happening sometime during the day.

one time when i was like 19 i slept for 16 hours straight and wanted to sleep more when i woke up. i dont even think i did anything the previous day either.

7 hours pretty much. I've been sleeping for like 4 days now. When I'm in my dorm room my roommates like to get loud with their friends when playing Madden and it pisses me of as sometimes it keeps me up. Mainly because I wonder if they ever fucking sleep. On the weekends its the same thing. Lately I've been playing SWG until around 2AM. Or I stop by here before going to bed and look around.

Nowadays, maybe like 5 or 6 hours, but the shitty thing is now I cannot stay up late, since I have to be at work by 7AM... I am a graphic designer, mind you, not a grade school teacher or doctor or some shit that requires you to get up early. Why does my office work 7AM to 3PM, hell if I know...

I usually get like 7-8 at night and when nobody is watching me at work i get about 30mins to 1 hour of sleep. I'm a piece of trash when it comes to showing "professionalism" at work, but I could care the fuck less. I am in the military, they won't fire me.

On the weekends I usually average 10 hours. I'm so worthless.
