As ya'll know the latest tekken game is Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. I just knew there was more to the title when it had "Dark Resurrection" in it. They just don't make up titles for nothing.

Really, as long as they never remove that old fart Heihachi I'll be happy. When I heard before Tekken 5 came out that he was dead I almost shit a brick, even though about five seconds later I realized it was bullshit and there was no way he was actually dead. He's a Mishima, they don't die.
Dark Resurrection just got beta tested in Illinois 2 days ago and the general consensu is that DR plays like Tekken 5.1 instead of 5.0 and 5.1 bryan is heavily toned down but still a good character. So I would think Bryan won't be much of a bastard in DR however the whole cast has new moves so there is no telling who will be a monster.Quote:

Kuma's best was when he was in part 4. Kuma had a glitch called the "Salmon Hunter" Glitch. It was 2 hits that would basically take away everything but a sliver of your opponent's lifebar. After this glitch was discovered Everybody and their mother was a kuma player, had Kuma avatars and sigs at Tekkenzaibatsu. They all swore up and down that they were real Kuma players. As a matter of fact in my first Tournament ever I got knocked out by a Kuma player. After a while the Salmon Hunter glitch was only useful against n00bs.Quote:

Well being one of the major Tekken players on the EC (tooting my own horn bitches) im actually excited to hear this news. And to confirm DR plays exactly like 5.1 with all the tweaks (which seriously hurt the top tiers Nina, Steve, and partially Bryan). It has all the new moves and stages as well. I cant wait until its officially released here. Kuma was actually pretty solid in Tekken 5.0. When the game still had all the tech traps he had a few nasty setups off of bear stance and such. But in 5.1 and DR Kuma, along with tech jesus Roger Jr. are really nerfed.

lies. VF is technically sound and very realistic, what Tekken lacks in that department, it makes up for in cool characters, a good story and easy to learn game play. VF is boring because it's so realistic and the characters have NO personality. Therefore I like Tekken a lot better than VF.Quote:

Thats probably not the original armor king might be another guy wearing the mask, kind of like starting from after tekken 2 we get a replacement king since the original died, or maybe he could be a clone like Kazuya. I wish they bring back june because she my top tier character, Asuka a good replacement for her but its not the same. I thought Namco was going to stop releasing arcade games and go straight to console for now on.
Yeah, Armor King's Dark Upper is the main attack which seperates the two Jaguars. Back in Tekken 2 days, there was a lot of "move cloning" throughout the cast. Armor King had a wgf and 100% combos back then.
In TTT they brought him back but changed the attacks animation. It's still basically the same as a wgf. It has special-mid properties (I assume Namco will change them though, Mishima wgfs are now highs). As far as I know it was safe on block as well, making it spammable.
King is still predominantly a throw based character, A.King was more about juggles. There's still no news on what moves A.King will have, or what upgrades King will have, but imho in Tag A.King was the superior Jaguar.
I don't think Kuma's Salmon Hunter was a glitch. I just don't think Namco realised that the just frame version was guaranteed of f,f+2 (carpark arena being an exception). Kuma's tech traps in 5.0 made him selectable.
On another note, I don't think Lei will be low tier in this upgrade. The speed of his punch rush strings is insane and they finally gave him some decent WS launchers.
UH OH, they sped up Lei's punch strings? That sounds like "forced situation" mind games! I hope he becomes a badass like he was in Tag. I am so excited about Dark Resurrection.
A.King will prolly be a new guy with A.King's mask and I'm pretty sure they'll have to give A.King ALMOST a completely new moveset(with the dark upper of course :D ). At Tekken Zaibatsu the moment A.King was revealed like the first questions were all about his Dark Upper move. Isn't that a fuckin shame? Dark Upper and Wind God Fist are like the most loved moves in the entire game.
Armor King will probably end up something like Tekken 4 Jin Kazama. New moveset but the staple "jin" moves where still there.
Not to be a storyline whore or anything but he acually was Resurrected not cloned. The G-Corporation took his remains and brought him back to life. The Devil-Gene allowed him to survive when he got tossed into the volcano.Quote:

From info it says he even has 'POSION BREATH'.

The return of A.King is kind of controversial. If he is a completely new character then I'll be happy. It kind of has huge effects on the storyline though. King's rivalry with Marduk for one example.

I've probably played more than anyone else at the only test location in the US here in chicago.
The full version should be out in the US in a few weeks.
I picked up on Lili and she seems like garbage at first until you figure her out. As of right now I can say I have the best Lili in the country. :D
T5 has it's problems but it's still solid, I still play it with friends at least every other weekend. Even with SC3 out now people still want to play. I didn't play tekken on a regular basis but as soon as T5 came out in the arcades last November I've been playing it non stop. I even got 2nd at the Chicago 5.1 local tournament 2 months ago (using wang/asuka). I just don't get sick of this game. DR is more balanced then people were saying 5.0 was when it was first released. :D I pretty much agree.
