I read the 3/12 page indictment (worded as hazily as possible of course) and it gives very little in the way of factual evidence against Delay.
Honestly I don't care what goes down - but this seems entirely politically-motivated to me. It's not so much a means to prosecute him as it is a means to further tarnish his political reputation. My prediction - he will be found completely innocent and the left will use this as a way to refer back to the "Corruption" of the right. They will drag it out as long as humanly possible (around a year) to give this negative press as long a shelf life as possible.
I was never a fan myself (of Delay that is) so I could care less. If he's guilty - I hope he goes down. He's a weiner regardless.

At this point there is really nothing factual to nail him to the wall with... but keep in mind this ordeal is still in its infancy so it's impossible to speculate what condemning evidence could immerge. Are american politics *that* radically different than it was a decade ago? Two? Barely. We're fighting nameless terrorists instead of faceless commies, The middle east is still radically fucked, Israel is still fighting a silent war with the Palestinians, China still begrudgingly deals with us, North Korea is still rattling its sabre and Most of Europe is either pushing off its cultural and intellectual snobbery off on their lazy american brethren or is too busy arguing with its neighbors to really give a fuck.
