I'm pretty sure Zelda isn't coming out until next year now. Mario Baseball, come on. Mario sports games are always solid, well made games, but I'm getting a little sick of those same charcters. I think the longer it takes Nintendo to get out Zelda, the worse it will do. They could have just made it a launch with the Revolution. I worry about Nintendo.
You'll still see some solid titles come out for the gamecube but nintendo is also working on Nintendo DS games and on the Revolution. They are spreading themselves out kind of thin. Hopefully the quality of the titles that come out will make up for the lack of quantity.

Not sure. It certainly has games that I can play for some time yet. Currently, the only thing dead, on that system, is some of those things in Resident Evil 4.
I'm also waiting for the price to drop on the 2nd Metroid Prime, just a bit, before I pick it up. I still have some good times ahead for it.
It's been dead since day 1.
The Gamecube had a good couple of years, but there isn't shit on it anymore. I was just thinking the other day how the only game I think I've played on the GC this year has been RE4, which I still actually play.
Before the fanboyism in this thread gets to high though, the Xbox isn't much, if at all, better.
Haven't touched it in a while.

At least XBox has unending replayability via Live.
I've been working too much to really play any games though.
There's really only a few titles I'm interested in per console. Gamecube probably has the highest percentage of titles that I would actually buy.
I can think of 1, maybe 2, games that I want for PS2. There are no games I want for Xbox, sans 3s for XBL which I don't have.

The Cube has my favorite current gen games overall, but there really hasn't been shit for it lately. If not for the upcoming Zelda title, there would be nothing on the horizon.
It doesn't really matter though, as I am hopelessly addicted to 3S on XBL and can't seem to bring myself to play anything else. :crying:

What to say about the Gamecube....I only wanted one once when Mario Tennis came out last year, but I slapped myself and realized it wasn't worth it and how I didn't feel like spending $80 on a system and game I wouldn't care about after a while.
Only thing the Cube had going for it was the first person shooters...and many people (like me) can do with out them.
1- all three systems are worth owning
2- there is no point from comparing them to each others
3- no one takes fanboys seriously
Nintendo is doing a very good job as far as Hardware is concenred (I'm not talking sales wise here). but when it comes to software, they just don't have the potential:
- lack of 3rd party support shortly after console's launch
- they rely too much on ports/remakes of their classics. I mean, it's good to have these, but where are the original new games (Mario 128, Zelda DS, Mario DS ... etc.)
the Mario franchise was rediculesly over-used in this generation. if they're going to do it again, just put them all together in one game and call it "Mario Sports" or something (golf, tennis, baseball .... etc). otherwise, just stop using Mario and make an original game.
