Is burger king going out of business

I felt like having burger king today after work so I drove to my local burger king to find it closed down. I thought when did that happen, so I just drove to another burger king in the area to find that one closed down, really strange. i did drove over to a neighboring city to burger king to find yeap you guesed it, another closed down restaurant. i drove one more time out of curiosity to another burger king because at this point i just fiqure I'll just get something else and I found yet another burger king closed down.

BURGER KING did this shit down here in San Antonio Texas a few years ago at random. Some locations to this day have not come back, and others came back bigger and badder. I'd say it's a local or regional thing for where you're at man. I see no trend of this happening now in my neck of the woods here in SATX, and their recent Chicken Fries aren't too shabby without that damn Buffallo Sauce.

Last I checked (3 weeks ago or so), all BKs are still open in my area.

Why would you want it your way with that quack anyhow? Other than those new Chicken Fries, their burgers have always given me instant diarrhea due to it's odd charbroiled "after taste". Thus when I wanted to skip school for a few days to play my import MD and SFC games back in the day I knew I could just go to Burger King and eat 2 Whoppers and by the nights end I'd have the shits... knowing full well it be so bad the parents would have to pick me up from the school informing them of my horrendous bowls, then I'd run from my room playing import goodness to the bathroom several times throughout the rest of the night. As I got older that approach was too lame so I came up with other reasons not be in school. Half the time I knew more about what the teacher was teaching (since I'm always absorbing books) and didn't want to be bothered by the dipshits there.

...however, if you don't suffer from Burger King Induced "Shits" then maybe your situation really is dire.

My main problem with the whole "Have It Your Way" slogan is that just like HOOTER's More Than A Mouthfull it's a bad marketing rap. The customer isn't allowed to suck on some chick's bodacious tatas just because he likes her, thus I didn't get more than a mouthfull. AND @ Burger King, if I had it my way I'd order the cute chick behind the register to come out from behind it and let me insert a sweet & sour sauce thingy in her snatch, while I dip those Chicken Fries ever so often in there, eating burgers and fries off her naked body lying on a table with everyone else in plain sight. Thus I'm not getting it my way, and I don't believe anyone else is either.

I freckin' hate slogans like that. Like notice how Catherine Zeta Jones in those TMobile commercials says: "GET MORE... minutes" now instead of "Get More". You know why? Because a guy sued that he wanted her for the afternoon and the company never specified just what More meant even though most ppl knew damn well it meant the minutes and service.

I was most disappointed upon going there last night only to discover I was not able to immediately quench my hunger for pancakes after imbibing alcoholic beverages.

I thought the same thing when the local BK (across the street from the local MDonalds) shut down for a while. Turns out they were rebuilding the place bigtime!

So maybe not out of business, but perhaps repairs/rebuild instead?

I hope they do close down - that place went to shit about 10 years ago, and I haven't had one of their burgers in probably 6-7 years. I remember getting a burger from them, and looking under the bun to find some swampy, nasty-ass looking condiment sludge that looked totally fucking rotten, and feeling like I wanted to puke. Haven't been back since.

I remember their chicken tenders being pretty good, but those had gone to total shit too.

Fast Food went to sh8t back in the early eighties however I was told Wendy's was still legitimate.

Back on topic: I like BK, and do have a craving for a Whopper Jr from time to time. Their onion rings used to be the bomb, but they got some new batter I don't jive to well.

Wendy's > All by the way. Their salads are really fekkin good, esp their BLT Chicken with ranch dressing. Or their spicy chicken combo... chile with backed potato, or bacon cheezeburger.... its all good over there.

Wendy's is the best for a quick bite because they are cheap and their burgers really arent half bad.

Burger King should be the best because their hamburgers are bigger and not very greasy (like that shit hole McDonalds). Plus they have the Rodeo Bacon Cheeseburger (Bacon, Cheese, Onion Rings, and BBQ Sauce, I think lettuce and tomato come on it too) which is the greatest sandwhich man has ever created.

Checkers isnt bad either really, they actually have thick hamburgers that are made out of meat. They have curly fries too, so whats not to like.

The best is still Steak n Shake, but thats not really fast food. Even though their fries are kind of bleh.

Havent tried Whataburger yet, they just built one up the road from me.

Angels Diner in Palatka > every hamburger known to man, and you cant have one since it isnt a chain resteraunt, HAR HAR!

Chicken fries? Chicken fries.

As for Burger King, it's not going out of business. The new CEO started closing down the huge restaurants, (You know those ones who tried to be like Mc Donald's with a playground in front.)

They can never really come back unless they get a good value menu. Wendy's has passed them to become the second largest fast food restaurant after Mc Donald's and I think they deserve. There are two here in Clarksville, TN(one even moved to a new location.) And in Montgomery there were 3, but one closed down (It was the biggest one) and the other two stay open with decent business.

I still love the Double Whoppers.

I don't know if they'res any in other states, or if it's just a california thing, but
In-N-Out Burger is actually really damn good. Everything is made fresh, and you see the workers actually slicing all the veggies and condiments and shit. Their only drawback is that there really isn't alot of variety. Hell the menu is really only like 5 or 6 things. But damn good though. I actually like arby's alot too, damn good roast beef sandwiches.

I dunno. I was at Carl's Jr a weekend or two ago. I was the only one in the drive-thru, but Burger King's was packed all the way into the parking lot. The In-n-Out has a drive-thru line that stretches out into the main street, especially from 10pm-1am.

I used to be big on Value Menus (like Jack's Jumbo Jack, Big Cheeseburger, and 2 Tacos), but now I just evaluate fast food joints based upon their batter-fried spicy chickens. And on that criteria:

Wendy's > Jack in the Box > Carl's Jr > Burger King > McDonald's (loses because it has no spicy chicken :angry:

Burger King is weak. Their batter isn't even spicy. They just put on tapatio sauce or some shit. That stuff will give you the runs.

I still want to know what in the fuck they make the "onion rings" out of.

Nice to see the love for Wendy's.

But these days if I get the fast food urge I just go over to Safeway to their deli counter and order a freshly made right in front of my eyes "Hail Caesar". They got over a dozen sandwich choices, and a few of them really hit the spot. Also, with your Safeway card (free to sign up) every 8th sandwich is free.

As for the whopper I don't eat that... waaaaay too fattening and shit. I eat whopper junior though once in a full moon.

The last time I went to In-n-Out, the cashier in the drive-thru line decided to take a break without telling anyone. So the rest of the workers, oblivious as they are (somehow not noticing that there is no one at the window), kept going about things and let food pile up as 20+ cars backed up. This is a fairly well-to-do neighborhood so everyone is being polite and no one is honking, but like 5 minutes later, some guy comes to the window and is like 'oh, sorry, I didn't realize your food was here already!'. By then my fries are soggy and my vanilla shake is half-melted :angry:

And yeah, in-n-out can take awhile sometimes, and whats worse, is that they don't really fully 'wrap' their burgers. They just have it half way wrapped, and the shit gets everywhere. Good though. Has anyone ever tackled a 4x4? I just don't have the arteries to order something like that, hell even a double double is too goddamn much

I would have drove my fucking car through that little window and up their asses so there could have been no mistake I was ready to order. By the way who would name a burger place IN-n-Out, make me think why I am eating the burger through one end its coming out the other end at the same time


I don't think their remodeling because their are for lease signs up on every burger king locacation that has closed down

I love Rally's/Checkers they have like the best fries ever. We have one near here, but I never go there cause its like 22 miles away.

I went to Burger King the other day and they took 10 minutes to give me my order. Got a free sammich coupon out of it.

Damn man don't mention RALLY's I used to love Rally's but they moved away from here to become yet another Taco Cabana. Though it was disheartening to learn that when they cook their burgers they basically drop a meat patty into a vat of greese and when it floats to the top, it's ready to be served. The #1 reason you get a scalding HOT burger within minutes of your ordering it @ the drive through. :( Still though I wouldn't mind scarfing one of those down right about now, though I had an equally good burger today back up in Austin for lunch @ Players, and then some MAD Chicago styled deep dish pizza at Conan's Pizza for dinner before taking a look see through probably the best video store I've seen called Vulcan Video.

Rally's is the bomb though... though it never made me sick like those Whoppers from Burger King.

Well now I do like CARLS JR. a bit better than Whataburger, no argument there. But there's only one in the whole state of Texas though, at a Love's Truckstop on the way going down to Laredo just outside of Von Ormy up on a hill. Heck even for me it's a drive of about 25 minutes. There used to be lots of Carls Jrs' back in the 80's here in SATX... but the franchise just like GW Juniors folded by about '88. The only reason there is the one I'm talking about is because it's connected to the truck stop.

I was going to eat at Whataburger yesterday, But I decided to go get a double whopper with cheese (no pickles) and some fries and an Icee (cherry).

It was fucking awesome.
