Post your favorite single episodes of any anime. Not arcs, not series names, not OAVs, not movies. It can be anything, from 4 minute Ippatsu Kikimusume to a 30 minute episode of Gundam X. The only criteria is that it's one episode, watched entirely by itself.

Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohi 5: The episode where Tenchi faces Kagato
I like the one with the big eyed girl, and the boy that she secretly liked said hi to her in the classroom. She got red lines on her cheeks. The episode also has a cute kitty in it.
Paranoia Agent has some really cool episodes. Can't really decide on one in particular though.
Berserk Ep. 25: Time of Eternity
Those who have seen it would know why, it left me awestruck for at least a week.

It's quite demented when you think about it.
The three of them are just so nonchalant and carefree about their suicide pact and attempts, that you're almost in disbelief that anybody can take such a serious situation so lightheartedly.
Overall, the episode it totally brilliant and quite unlike anything I think I've ever seen before.

I'd also like to add a few of the One Piece episodes where you learn about Nami's childhood with Bellemere and how Arlong ends up killing her.
I don't know, I just found that whole Arlong saga and Nami's past to be really heartfelt and touching, and I don't often feel that way about anything, so it was very refreshing.

Jet really killed putting DBZ up here though since all the real high points of the series are dependant on the episodes surrounding it. I so want to find a way to justify putting some of the Cell Saga episodes in here but I can't.
There are dozens more I'd like to put up but I don't have the time to go back and look up the titles/episode numbers.

It was all very new, fresh and overwhelming to me

Last time an anime did that to me, although I have to say the Naruto has its moments as well :kekeke:
Especially the ones with good fights in them, I liked the one in which the 9-tailed fox was actually used, it must have been one around 70-80
Naruto: The episode where Naruto first unleashes the Kyubi chackra. I believe that same episode has Kakashi about to finish Zabuza but instead Haku gets in the way and Kakashi blows a hole right through his upper torso. Good shit.
Dragonball: The episode where Goku fights his grandpa from the dead.
DragonballZ: The episode where Goku goes Kaio-ken x3 on Vegeta and unleashes a fucking huge can of asswhopping all over the desert. That shit was hot.
Bleach: Ichigo's fight with Kenpachi where it ended with the final blow and ended in a tie. Can't mess with a badass that has a special eyepatch that drains his spirit energy just so he can lower himself to fight on your level :buttrock:

Episode 1 of Noir (rest of the series was a snooze)
Voices of a Distant Star ((shut up purists I don't know the jpn name) plus I guess this is technically a movie but its short)
I'd have to go rewatch them but I'm sure I could pick out a specific episode in Blue Sub No. 6 and Yukikaze that I like.
New Dominion Tank police - the episode where Al and Leona are going after a huge Juggernaught carrying masses of explosives. Stands pretty well on its own. Its kinda like one of those classic 80's disaster-flicks, only compressed in 30mins.
801 TTS Airbats - the ramen eating contest. Just really good, daft comedy, and it contains the line "Kareoke has weakened me" which, within the context of the show, was funny as hell.
Oh yea, and Voices of a Distant Star - kinda obvious choice really........
I will submit to being the biggest faggot on the planet but I friggin liked
every episode of Onegai Teacher and Jubei-Chan and the Lovely Eye-patch.
Onegai Teacher, being one of three japanese faggotry cartoons I actually
like, is the best series ever in the world of huge heads and eyes shaped
like hearts.
