is this the graetest cartoon or what?
I want to see it but don't have cable. I've heard some who love it, and others who hate it. But next season is supposed to have a Legion of Super-Heroes episode, as well as the Legion of Doom, so my interest is up there.
I wish they would put out season box sets of this and the previous Justice League series.
jeffery combs, the voice of question!!! this season rocks. these last couple of episodes reminded of Kingdom Come. I mean holy crap, they brought in Captain Marvel in one of the episodes! great show. my favorite 3 cartoons.
1. Justice League Unlimited
2. Family Guy
3. Teen Titans
They had an episode with the Question? Which version, Ditko or O'Neil? Either one is a great character.
And is Teen Titans any good? I only watched it twice (first two), and both I watched were complete crap. Every played out anime cliche used twice per episode, and used incorrectly.
*cough*
I watch Teen Titans with my little brother and I really like it. In fact I have the first three seasons...
*cough* *cough*
ahmen brother!! :buttrock: We're living proof that, yes you can survive with out it. Public television rules!!Quote:

Teen Titans is even worse. Maybe if we had a Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wonder Girl or Superboy or something. The half assed anime style just really pisses me off I suppose. I like the first two seasons, but it slowly got unbearable. Oh and calling Deathstroke Slade is gay.
I love the DC Animated Universe. Starting with Batman then Superman and now Justice League. Now Teen Titans is a DC property but its not connected to these other shows. I think with TT they just wanted to go and have fun without worrying about any continuity with JL that may conflict.
These guys have done more for animation stateside than anyone else since Kirby was working at Ruby Spears in the early 80's(Thundarr!!)
JLU is great. I cant wait for next season. What is with Bats and Wonder Woman? Will the Question find another conspiracy? Does Green Arrow get to nail Black Canary?
:)
Yep, Toonami's got me pretty much on lockdown Saturday nights, well, at least till 9:30. After that, I just wait for AS to come on if I'm not going out. Wonder if they're gonna bring back Megas XLR, YuYu Hakusho, or do more episodes on Titans East?
Mix that with Frank Miller's Q in DKSA and Rorschach from Watchmen and you have the DCAU Question. The killer thing is he drives a 67 GTO. Nice.Quote:

No. Nothing will ever touch that series. I think it's pretty even with Batman Beyond. Well atleast like the first two seasons were.Quote:

So in Justice League now, they don't have 2 or 3 episode stories? That does suck. But I disagree about the other character stuff. There are a lot of other great characters they can use now, that I'd like to see. Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Atom should have been in the League anyway. Then seeing other Green Lanterns, the Question, Booster Gold, Supergirl, Legion of Super-Heroes (!), etc. is icing on the pie.
I stood and watched the preview at the San Diego Comic Con 3 times, which is what got me on this JL kick.
The Slade thing is just a pet peeve.Quote:

I like have more than the same 7 characters, but it just doesn't work with only 30 minutes. Batman was nearly non existent this season (even though he is "part-time" now.) Superman was also absent most of the time during the beginning. But I just don't like Supergirl really. I must admit I have liked seeing Green Arrow.
Booster Gold, bitches!!Quote:

I'm surprised as big a comic geek Southtown Kid is he's never seen this. This is easily one of the finest cartoons of this generation; one of the few to stand up to the anime invasion and say "Hey you, anime -- fuck you."
Yeah.
I like it JLU puts the SuperFriends to shame.
Any body who grew up on... SF knows what i mean
Then again likeing, JLU seems to anger diehard DC fans.
I swear comic book fans are so anal some times :make_fac:
speaking of which, there was a 2 part episode, where batman, the green lantern, wonder woman chase this dude who can go through time. they ended up in batman beyond's timeline. they meet up with batman beyond, warhawk, and 65 year old static shock. great show.Quote:

I'll have to watch it the next time it's on Toonami.
Ahh when Hanna Barbara ruled the 70's&80's  :lol:Quote:

No one is sure, but if Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated series are getting some it should happen. Just not anytime soon. They will probably just keeep giving DVD releases to certain episodes until it ends.Quote:

I love Jack Kirby so when I saw the New Gods appear in Superman I was soo stoked.
That continues in JLU. I just watched a great episode the other day. "The Ties that Bind" It has Mr Miracle and Barta come to the JL to ask for help. Flash decides he can help them. The flashbacks where it shows Stan(Mr Miracle) as a kid being raised by Darkseids mom are awesome. Seriously great writing and serious nods to the great comics over the years are what make this show great. My bro in law doesnt even know who Mr Miracle is but he loved the episode and immediatley started asking me all about who the New Gods and Kirbys Fourth World are.
I just hope we get some DVD sets soon. For now I will just have to live with the Downloads...
Good episode. BTW Mr. Miracle's name is Scott, not Stan...Scott Free ;)Quote:

i love how the show pulls for the other shows in the past. in one episode, they had the guy from the batman cartoon who was obsessed with being on time. holy crap. you have to watch all of DC's cartoons to get the references. static shock, batman beyond, batman: the animated series, superman, and justice league.
Despite the crossovers.Quote:

I'd count Batman Beyond as a definite part of the continuity though.
Although it's mainly just from Batman/Superman the Animated Series.
I would really like to see JLU do an episode around Arkham Asylum and some portal to Hell that's in one of the cells or something. Just think of the possibilities with all the heroes and villains in Gotham's Crazy House.
Really good show, but let me be blunt. I mainly watch it for the super hero/villian throw downs. By the way who is the strongest female hero wonder woman or supergirl. i think the strongest character in the series would be that android.
I just bought the first DVD, so hopefully I'll like it. Hawk and Dove seem to be in it, though, and I've always hated them for some reason. Maybe the Liefeld association.
The Hawk and Dove episode is pretty cool. Yeah Liefeld is a bad taste we would all like to forget.
I liked the one with Hawk and Dove as well if it is the one I am thinking of. Sets up some continuity down the road which is always good with me.
After watching the first dvd, my judgement is: "s'alright." Cool...not the 3 best episodes I've ever seen, but good enough to want to watch the next one when it comes out. But whoever it was at WB who decided only 3 eps on a dvd was a good idea, deserves a donkey kick from a real donkey.

Saddy I don't have cable anymore so I have only seen one of the JLU cartooms...but I did watch JL it started off good, but after some time became the best show on TV.
I wish they would come out with JL on DVD, and I mean the seasons not that two or four episode crap
Maybe the thing I like most about the DC cartoons is that they give B or even C level characters good storys.
I would really like to see the do a JLU story around
1. Watchmen: I know they would have to change some things, (maybe also use the Charlton Comics characters like Alan Moore was going to do)maybe do it where a character like say Batman is thrown into an alternate universe where he helps Rorschach (or if they used the Charlton Comics characters The Question). Hell maybe they could use the Watchmen characters and have The Question help Rorschach or vise versa
2. Kingdom Come
It would also be cool to see Vertigo characters like Constantine, Swam Thing, Sandman, and Animal Man (then again he's not really a Vertigo character). And Storys based on Vertigo comics like The Books of Magic & Y: The Last Man (done like an alternate timeline that the Fash in thrown into with Yorick Brown)
Seeing as they have Milestone characters with DC ones in JLU, they should be able to do Vertigo.
I loved DB on toonami much better the DBZ...it also got me into the DB manga which is much better then the censored DB on TVQuote:

It started look alot like Kingdom Come.Quote:

The JLU episode with Captain Marvel was almost a scene from Kingdom Come, when he grabbed Superman from behind and yelled "SHAZAM!" and fried his Kryptonian hide with magic lightning. Loved that scene big time :buttrock:
It's reported that next season will be the final season for Justice League Unlimited, soon to be named JL: International :(
Good. There isn't much more they can really tell with the way they are doing things. This weekends episode was a straight trip.
Speaking of Justice League Unlimited, I remember watching an episode once that the characters when into the future and Static Shock was an old man and somehow they had to stop this guy that could manipulate time? ANybody know about this episode?
that was a great episode.Quote:

Not a bad 2 parter.Quote:
