We have been playing horribly. Our Pitching and Bullpen are solid, but we have absolutely NO offense whatsoever. The games are frustrating to watch...Quote:

Well i'll admit i'm actually rooting for the Yankees in the A's series :)
Hopefully we can sweep the (sub)Mariners this weekend...
This sums up the White Sox August.Quote:

We lost to the Royals yesterday, but the loss snapped a 7 game winning streak.Quote:

Can't really expect much different from the baseball teams in this city.
I was going to say Ozzy for Manager of the Year, But Now I'm going with Eric Wedge.Quote:

Well, we're still hangin in there. Tied with the a's currently.
The damn sub-mariners beat us. :blow_top:
Crazier still, the A's beat the BoSox. Wtf?Quote:

Every division in the AL plus the wild card are up for grabs right now.
So as it turns out the White Sox suck mad cock.
Thoughts?
I would really hate to be a sports fan in Chicago right now.Quote:

Well I'm really curious about how the Wild Card is going to turn out.
The Yanks have pulled to 1/2 game behind the Red Sox, but I hope they can pull ahead and hold on for good.
I'm pulling for the Red Sox to miss the playoffs completely. :glee:
Yea it's like there's a bunch of D-Lite's out there.Quote:

When I called TonK a panzy for being a Yankees fan living in Ohio, I told him the Indians would be good.
I wish I was wrong about that.
What if they get swept this series? :eye:Quote:

No, I'm quite thrilled the Giants suck since I'm a Yankee fan (born and raised in CT for 20+ years).Quote:

I really wish you could stick those fucks back in 1968 against Bob Gibson.
If they were lucky enough to hit a homer off Gibson and they watched it the way they do, there would have been no question that at their next at bat they would have had a heater drill them in the fucking head.
How I wish for someone to do that now.
It would be worth the fine and suspension for putting Bonds on a stretcher.
Screw that. You can't even throw inside anymore. Look how guys like Bonds, Giambi, etc hang their elbows with all the armor in the strike zone.
You can throw inside, but the problem is no one seems to be able to, or want to do it.Quote:

The problem with baseball is the moment you do anything that is "retaliatory", good old Bud starts dishing out fines and suspensions. Or you get ejected instantly if you hit someone on the arm. WTF?
The late Billy Martin was notorious for having his pitchers throw at batters. He used to have his guys throw right at Reggie Jackson's head.
The only person who really got away with something intentional was Clemens beaning Piazza in the head back in 2000. But I've always thought Clemens was one of those "untouchable" guys when it comes to getting in any sort of trouble. All you hear about is what a great guy he is. A girl I know used to babysit his kids and she told me that he is an asshole.
But anyway....they need to let baseball get a little more violent again.
I say we allow the players to wear metal spikes ala Ty Cobb.
Which reminds me, Billy Martin once told Ty Cobb that had he tried to spike him if he had been playing when Billy was, Cobb wouldn't have had any teeth left in his mouth. :tickled:
Crede.
And the White Sox pitchers were doing way better earlier in the season when they were throwing inside effectively. Dunno why they stopped.
It's only a matter of time before Jose Contreras gets in his own head. ;)Quote:
