I want to see the Angels meet the Astros in the World Series.
Angels are now up 1 zip on the White Sox.
Maybe it will be the Molinas vs Molina?
OMG, the Angels got robbed off game 2, if anyone saw AJ, he clearly swung the bat and didn't hit the ground, even though I like to see the Sox win, it's not the way to do it.
That was an UGLY call. Any way you look at it. Either way, the pitcher should have gotten the next out, but it was a horrible call nonetheless.
Bad call indeed, but when it's as close as that, the catcher should have put the tag on in case.
But you have to take advantage of mistakes, whether it's by the umps or the opposing players, and the White Sox did that.
Buehrle pitched excellent, only made one bad pitch, and was actually gonna pitch the 10th.
Even more incredible, most Cubs fans want Chisox to lose, talk about jealousy and bitterness, maybe White Sox should just win it all and have Ozzie Guillen giving Cubs fan a middle finger with his Championship ring on it.
If this series goes to game 7, that umpire will have made the history books. But, like Butta said, you gotta tag just in case.
Reminds me of the 92' World Series when Hrbeck clearly pulled Gant off of 1st base and he was ruled out.
The call is not horribly bad....
I'm sure Scocia will tell you that if you don't field the ball cleanly, you should tag the runner.
The White Sox....in the world series ?
It's looking to be.
Cub fans will commit mass suicide if the Sox win it all.
Anyone else notice how the Yankees lose and all conversation stops?
That's right bitches, the world revolves around the Bombers :kekeke:
I was thinking the same thing.Quote:

Eh I picked em to beat the White Sox but I will be more than happy if the Sox kick them into the off season pondering what went wrong. :)
The Astros are up on the Cards.
I hope the trend of LaRussa managed teams choking in the playoffs continues.
He can manage a killer regular season team but always has a brain freeze when he gets to the postseason...kind of like when he was manager for the A's back in the day. Then not to mention how the Cardinals just rolled over and died for the Red Sox last year.
White Sox vs Astros would be a great great World Series.
I hope it comes true.
And yes, the Cubbie fans will commit ritual suicide if the White Sox win the World Series. They are probably praying for Steve Bartman to show up at one of these games. :kekeke:
All I know that between Oct.12 and Oct. 15, 2005, the White Sox have been the better team. I'm just happy we took out the Yankees once again! :kekeke:
i wanna see the angles win on sunday just to drag it out longer. or hell i'd like to see em tie it up i love game 7 games. sooooo intense.
Actually LaRussa does very well, just some bad luck every time going to World Series, last year Red Sox was simply getting too hot at that point to gain any momentum from them, this year with 3 guys injured, Sanders, Rollins, and Nunez, no one is going to pitch to Pujos, at least his team is consistent.Quote:

They're so worn out that if they get into WS, they'll just give the championship away to NL team.
Last thing, don't blame Bartman, but rather to SS Alex Gonzales for his stupid error, which shold've ended the inning.
One can only hope. :buttrock:Quote:

Damn, Vlad hasn't hit a damn thing this series, that's the most shocking thing of this whole playoffs. Not that I'm complaining... :glee:
Now...it's official :)
Fucking World Series baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I just have to beat up some people for World Series Tickets and I'll be set. :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
I haven't read a thing else in this thread, and I have no more to say than:
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ASTROS! :chimp:
Ahahahahahahaha.
The Angels may have beaten the Yankees but like I told Neo Mike back in the Summer, they would not be winning the World Series. :tickled: :glee: :tickled: :glee:
Of course he will not be posting right away more than likely.
Nice tag Escobar tried making...had that A-Fraud purse slap look going for it. :kekeke:
Congratulations to the White Sox...they pitched absolutely amazingly.
I'm also glad for Jose Contreras...I wonder how the Tampa crew for the Yanks must feel right now watching this. :kekeke:
The White Sox out played and out pitched us. Period. I tip my cap to them. Forget the calls we could not hit anything, I give them the credit they deserve.
They wanted it more than we did. No one can win without hitting the ball, and everyone was pressing it so much.
I believe we left it all in the Yankees series. Now the Angels need to take a step back, see where they are and what they need to correct their weaknesses.
@Dangerous, Deano, and Tonk and all the other Yankee bandwagoners-Quote:

Nothing like being heckled by a fan of a team who's asses we've kicked everytime we've faced them in the postseason. The Sox beat us fair and square. Congrats to them. They beat us and we beat you. Who sucks the most again? That's right, your team.
Insane pitching performances.
4 complete games in a row, bullpen got 2 outs the whole series, no more than 3 runs allowed in a game, held the Angels to something like a .175 average for the series.
Crazy really.
I really can't believe Guerrero got shut down that bad. First pitching swinging most of the time, and hitting it right into the ground almost every time.
And Joe Crede gets ragged on a lot around here, but damn he does come through with some clutch hits.
Looks like I'll be traveling back home to watch my dream come true. Only one game to go until Houston v. CWS.
What a dream World Series. Sorry butta, you goin' down bro. It's going to be great to watch though :buttrock:

Yeah right man I love how all of a sudden now all you can focus on is how the Angels beat the Yankees.
Unlike your dumbass who can never see when their team will lose, I can.
I said the Yankees were going to lose and they did.
Does that make me a bandwagon fan?
No, not at all.
I just can see how glaringly obvious the weaknesses were.
Yes the Yankees had no business in the postseason, neither did the Red Sox for that matter.
BTW the Angels have not kicked their ass as you claim every time they play.
Please man, get your head out of your ass.
Don't get all pissy because you couldn't proclaim like a faggot about "Another Halo victory". Welcome to the offseason, I told you your team wasn't going to be winning it all this year and you didn't want to listen.
All though I do give you props for not bitching about the umpiring calls like you have in the past. :chimp:
I'm glad Chicago finally gets to host World Series, it's long over due, concerning Contreras with Yankees, it's not the problem with Jose himself, but the team, under Ozzie, no one is above the team, you better listen to him if you want to play for him, Joe Torre has much tougher job dealing with 25 players with astronomical egos, seems like Steinbrenner just doesn't get it, doesn't he realize it's the roockies that kept the team in contention this year, why spend millions for ARod? Might as well burn the money, at least it looks more spectacular than Arod striking out. If George fires Torre and trades away some rookie pitchers (Small, Wang, Cano, Crosby) this year, then he's truly insane
Now I really want to see Sox vs Astros with Sox win it all, for Houston it's a moral victory for Roger just getting the city to host WS, they can wait a few more seasons to win it all, just look at how long Boston and Chicago had to wait. If Chisox win it all, the pressure will really be on Cubs to win one, they'll be the only team w/o championship for more than 80 years, well, almost 100 years I shall say.
I don't believe an entire batting line up can all choke at once. The Sox starting pitching was simply unbeatable that series.Quote:

Go 'Stros!!!!
Q-
I don't care much for the ChiSox, so I hope either Houston or St. Louis wins.

Must suck when you can't showboat around the mound like usual.
That was the payback I was waiting for with him.
Stings like a bitch.
It was sad to see him meltdown like that.Quote:

Tie Game, Facing Elimination. You go with your best to start the Eieight.
Lidge on the otherhand, I think he is the new Rivera... Cold as Frickin Ice.
You know what though, I'm not sure bringing K-Rod in the beginning of the eighth would have mattered.Quote:

Definitely had the same thought about Lidge when I was watching the game yesterday...he's got great stuff.
If I'm going to lose, I;m going to lose with my best......Quote:

Holy crap!
Nice of Pujols to finally show up in this series.
Brad Lidge might want to grab a Snickers bar, as I don't think that ball's landing for a while.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT !!!
Fucking "Shitholes"...
FUCK SHIT BITCH NACHOS
NOW WE'RE PLAYING AWAY, REAL FUCKING GREAT!!!
Here's the problem, Lidge was too relaxed down to last out, it'd been easier if he walked Pujols, don't they realize he's the most consistent player, and please don't tell me it's curse, like Ozzie said, there's no curse, only Horseshit Teams, a perfect example here.Quote:

Definitely a momentum changer last night. I still think the Astros will win the NLCS, but with the last two games in St. Louis, you never know...

and St. Louis won last year. i have faith. haha ...
To be honest, I'd like to see the ChiSox win the whole damn thing.
So I went on tickmaster.com today to try and get World Series tickets.
Kept refreshing right before noon, and when it finally came up, I chose 4 tickets, best available, for game 2. I figured I had no shot, but it loads up and tells me it's holding 4 upper deck tickets for me for 2 minutes, and I have to fill some shit out within that 2 minutes. So I do just that, and when I click next or submit or whatever it was, it gives me a fucking error saying it can't process my request. I tried refreshing, that didn't work, going back, that didn't work, and after that the site was slow as hell.
I'm fucking pissed. I should've had those tickets. I don't even care about making money off of them, I just wanted to go to a World Series game, and I sure as hell aint paying what they're going for everywhere else.
Fuck you ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster.com sucks.Quote:

:kekeke:
No, but seriously, that sucks man, sorry. Try for game 6 tickets.
All games sold out in 18 minutes.Quote:

Looks Like Joe Is leaving the yankees to manage the marlins:

I'll miss ya joe....
I had the exact same problem. I tried for game 2, then game 6, then whatever I could find, but Ticketmaster kept crapping out. If I could have even gotten 2 upper deck tickets for one game I would have gladly made the 12 hour drive to Chicago but no dice. :(Quote:

Why Sports companies still use Ticketmaster is beyond me. I can't believe there isn't SOME kind of better alternative.
