I'm going to have to listen to the upcoming BoSox games on the radio because of my work hours.
That sucks but it's better than going without.
You say that but i never saw many A's fans in this thread. The only things i saw were people rooting for the A's just to get a rise out of you :kekeke:Quote:

What a crazy season for AL, now with White Sox securing playoff spot (not really since Indians can sweep and tie the division), I'm hoping
- Indians sweep White Sox, even though I like White Sox, this would ensure both White Sox and Indians getting playoff spots (both with 96-66)
then
-either Yankees or Red Sox get knocked out since they're playing against each other, only one team will reach 96-66, I'm hoping Yankees get knocked out, who wants to watch them play again?
or we can have a crazy scenario, with Indains, Yankees and Red Sox all having 95-67, then, NY and Boston will play another game for the tie-breaker to declare Eastern Div champion on Monday, then the loser play against Cleveland on Tue for Wild Card spot (seriously who wants to get playoff spot this way? You're be so exhausted once you enter the post season and will likely be knocked out the first round).
For those who never get tired of Yankees vs Red Sox, it's possible there'll be 11 more games this year, 3 final series of regular season, 1 tie breaker, 7 ALCS.
Seriously, I don't mind either Indians or White Sox going to World Series, it's long over due for either one.
Yeah, but people like D-lite can't get it through their skulls that this makes any difference.Quote:

Teams that don't spend money where they can,or optimize their payrolls because the owners care more about money than winning get what they deserve.Fuck 'em.
But,I'm sure lots of teams would LOVE to spend $208+ million on their and still have money to profit, but only $teinbrenner can do this,so Yankee fans snub their nose at other fans and beasically say"don't hate us because we're richer than you and can buy a playoff spot year after year after year ad infitum........"
THAT'S the problem I have with it.
BTW....I'm a Red Sox fan,have been since I was a little kid....I couldn't give a rat's ass what the Mariners do.
Holy crap it's Vince!
Meh, not really. 1978 Yanks (of course there wasn't the extra round)Quote:

My point was that a team like the Royals with a shit owner deserve to suck. Hell, the Marlins can suck my ass too since their owners, as rich as they are, continue to bend that franchise over. If baseball wasn't so goddamned stupid they would just fix the salary structure. Selig keeps trying to tax the Yankees into submission yet the player's union won't ever agree to a salary cap. Never.
Tell me, would Red Sox fans feel bad about playing the Indians in the playoffs even though the Boston salaries are 3x higher?
I didn't think so.
I'm going to the game at Fenway tomorrow, my first Sox/Yankees game ever. I'm pretty excited.
Gametime is 1:20 PM, so i figure i can choke down at least 6 beers by then. Wish me luck!
Lets hear the predictions for the weekend everyone:
I'll go first:
Yankees win series, Boston wins maybe 1, thus knocking Boston out of the postseason
Whitesox Get swept by Tribe
Thoughts??
Lets hear the predictions...
White Sox have the tiebreaker, so they've already clinched the division regardless.Quote:

I think the White Sox will win 1 from the Indians, Ozzie has said he'll play his regulars out of respect to both the Red Sox and the Yankees.
Red Sox will take 2 of 3 from the Yankees to tie the division, whoever has home field in the tie breaker will win the division.
Then I think the loser of that game will lose to the Indians for the Wild Card playoff.
Interesting.Quote:

Don't ask for scenarios from D-Lite. The only things he's an expert in is major league man ass.

And the Yanks bullpen is in much better shape.
I bet Cleveland takes 2 from the Sox.

Great game.
Hope the ChiSox pull it off for my benefit.
Well Ozzie lied, but Sox had a 1-0 lead into the 9th.
1-1 in the 11th now.
Red Sox Win game 1!!
Should be good tomorrow also.
What's up with the Yankees starting pitching?
OH,I KNOW....
